This is a fan fiction I had made for my favriote anime Gundam Seed and Destiny, it was just something that I had put together.

In the Cosmic Era of 71 and 73, there were two wars against Zaft and Earth Alliance. The wars were ended by four individuals and the people who believed in them. With the second war ending in 73, people thought it was over, and now it was world peace, but only if the people knew. For many years people who were still rebel to the peace, were planning their day when they would attack, and finally get their revenge, and create a blue and perfect world.

Cosmic Era 90

Chapter 1: A day of Peace, an act of War

The streets of Orb was crowded and filled with people, celebrating the day of Peace. The day the second war was ended. Down the gray paved streets, there were people lined up from miles. Coordinators and Naturals standing side by side, both celebrating the same cause, their posters standing up tall, their voices loud and echoing the island; it was a joyful occasion, that everyone was there for. Many people marched to the City Hall, where the leader of Orb and her family and friends, would celebrate also with there citizens.

“People of Orb, Zaft, and Earth. We are here to celebrate the day that peace was found. The day we morn for our love ones. And the day we found out that we are stronger together then apart.”

Cagalli Yula Zala, Queen of Orb, or better known as Representative of Orb, stood at a podium. Her blond hair swaying in the air, her smile big as she watched the people around her yell and shout with joyful expressions. She turned to her husband Athrun, who was also smiling, holding their youngest child in his arms, their oldest child standing beside him; with their thumbs up, telling her she was doing great. She turned to her right, to see her brother Kira standing there with his wife, Chairwomen of Zaft, Lacus Yamato. Their children standing there, smiling. It was a great day, and nothing could change that.

“It was a long road to peace, and now that we have finally had it and were able to grasp it, I am happy to share it with people that I love and cherish, this is one of the days that I look forward to every year.”

The people all went into an uproar, cheering on Cagalli. About to open her mouth for more words of enthusiasm and encouragement, when she noticed a gundam, coming at orb with full throttle, she looked at Athrun, who gaze automatically went to Kira’s. Lacus stood there in shock. No one knew the meaning of this. The people were still in happy, not even noticing the gundam, before Cagalli could warn them, the first shot was fired.

“Mom!”

Lia was pulled into the building with a crowd of people. She lost her family, when the second gundam had came and attack. Her father and uncle had already moved when they saw the first gundam, leaving her with her mother and aunt, and her baby brother and cousins. She had lost them as she fell into the crowd and swept into the building. She knew what had happened, but did not want to believe it; she had to hear it from her mother or father to believe it, but from what she had saw today, it was an act of war.

“Mom! Aunt Lacus! God where are they!?”

Nathan walked around, holding his little sister in his arms, while his baby cousins Jacob and Serena held onto his sides. He sighed and took them to a corner of the building they were forced to go into. He sighed and looked around. He suddenly noticed Lia, pushing through the crowd.

“Lia!”

He yelled it loudly. She immediately spotted him in the corner. Her eyes gazing at him, she ran to him and hugged him tightly, as she burst out in tears. He hugged her back. He stared at his cousin Lia, as she knelt down to look at her brother and sister. They had minor cuts on the cheeks, but they were okay. She looked at her baby cousin, Casey who was being held in Nathan’s arms.

“Is she okay?”

Nathan shakes his head no. Casey was held tightly against Nathan’s chest, a cut on her forehead, from when something hit her. Nathan sighed and looked around. He didn’t know where his mother and aunt were. He knew his father and uncle were already fighting, protecting the people they loved.

“Do you think they are in the conference room?”

Lia said it as she picked up Jacob and held Serena’s hand. Nathan nodded his head and thought about an easy way to get to the conference room, from where they were at. They were in the front of City Hall building, as people started to crowd up the sides and make way for the people who were badly injured or dead, Nathan led the rest of his family, back outside to ground zero.

The light blinded Lia as she stared out into what seem like endless bodies. Her brother and sister holding on to her tightly, praying that there mother was not one of the women lying on their stomach. Nathan pulled Lia by the arm and led her to the Conference room. It seemed like a walk that would last forever, even though when she was a little girl, she and Nathan would always run from his house to the Conference Room to see her aunt talk, while her uncle would tell them what the discussion was about. She sighed when they reached the Conference doors. But as Nathan pulled, they were locked.

“No…Why are they locked!”

He yelled in frustration. Lia looked at him worried, she could hear shots coming from a long distant, but getting closer as they stood still. She sighed and held Serena’s hand tighter. Suddenly a man appeared out of no where.

“Mr. Zala, Ms. Yamato.”

Lia and Nathan turned their head to the man, Nathan sighed with relief. It was his butler, Mr. Dominick. They ran towards him, Serena desperately trying to keep up with her sister, even though the grip on her hand was slowly loosing.

“Come on, your mothers are this way.”

They all followed Dominick as he led the kids to their mothers. He opened a back door to Conference Room and let each child walk in then walked in himself, closing and locking the door. Lia slowly let go of Serena’s hand and sat Jacob down as they saw their mother Lacus run toward them, tears in her eyes. Her aunt Cagalli ran also to hold Nathan and Casey.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“This attack today is to show the Orb and Zaft Alliance that Earth will no longer be involved in this false peace. This world is only for Naturals, and Coordinators, or anybody who supports their existence should be sent to internal damnation. This is for the sake of a Blue and Perfect World!”

As the transmission ended, Lacus and Cagalli were both sitting down, their heads in a struggle to understand this act of betrayal. Lia and Nathan were standing in a corner. It was true. An act of war was sat on the table for their mothers. They bother knew that their mothers’ had no choice but to fight back, for more people die. Lia looked outside the window, her dad was out there fighting, and so was her uncle, and one day soon she would have to join them.

“What do we do Cagalli? He’s basically telling us we better fight, or he’s going kill all Coordinators and people who support them.”

Lacus said her eyes staring at the television. Cagalli closed her eyes. Nathan could tell this decision was hard for his mother. Cagalli caught Nathan’s gaze and looked at Lacus.

“We fight…”

Cagalli said that raising up. Nathan looked the other way, his eyes fixed on the wall in front of him. Lia’s heart sunk the thought of war made her shiver. Her father always hated it, and said nothing good ever comes out of it. He would always talk about the war he fought when he was sixteen and eighteen. He talked about the friends he lost. Lacus rose out of her seat and went to comfort Serena and Jacob, who were sitting in a corner, scarred. She looked up at Lia and Nathan.

“It’s your turn to fight…”

She whispered. Lia eyes starred at her mother, while Nathan nodded his head. They both walked away and to another part of the Conference Room. Nathan eyes were fixed on the hall in front of him, while Lia’s eyes stared at nothing, they were blank. Suddenly, Nathan could hear his father’s voice, he ran to it, Lia following behind him.

There stood Athrun Zala, Nathan’s father, and Kira Yamato, Lia’s. Nathan went to hug his dad. While Lia stood and watched hers.

“Were going to war! Cagalli how can you make such a decision?!”

“Athrun they’re going to kill anyone that stands in their way. Lacus and I will not let that happen!”

“Athrun this is the best decision, Earth Alliances have gone to far…We have to fight back or they will theorized us and the people we live to protect.”

Kira said that looking at Lia, who was starring at the ground. Her father always knew what she was thinking, so it was no use of saying anything. Nathan stood there as he heard his parents go back and forth about the different tactics to take.

“And the kids?”

“Lacus and I will go into hiding; we are taking the kids with us.”

“Nathan and Lia?”

Athrun said looking at the two teenagers that stood in front of them.

“They will fight.”

Kira said looking at Lia. Lia sighed and looked at him. She was about to experience war for the first time, so all that gundam fighting was not going to be a waste. Nathan looked at Cagalli whose eyes were fixed on Athrun’s. She didn’t want Nathan to fight, and Athrun knew, but he also knew that Nathan and Lia were two of the best gundam fighters for Orb and Zaft.

Kira grabbed Lia by the shoulder a walked with her down the hall, back to Lacus. Lia didn’t say anything but she knew her father was a little tense. She finally opened her mouth, but before she could speak, he spoke for her.

“I know that I’ve always told you that war is not the answer Lia, but at times like this, when we have to protect the ones we love, we have to fight. If we don’t, we will always loose. I need to know, when you are fighting, you will always fight your hardest to protect the people you love.”

Lia looked at him and nodded her head. She smiled softly at him. He stopped and wrapped his arms around her, hugging her tightly. It was becoming night, as she starred out the windows. In the morning, the first day of the Orb-Zaft Alliance against Earth Alliance War will begin.
