It really is odd how the pace of the KH3 manga just feels like it woulda been finished in like 2020 via a weekly schedule.

I think that Amano was under the impression that he had time, there's no need to rush things, and it would end when the story reaches its conclusion. And then suddenly that wasn't the case and he only had a certain amount of chapters left.

I do find it wild that he was given as much time as he needed for KH2 to the point where it was outright put on hold for a bit so he adapt Days, but the KH3 manga ending is being rushed. I understand that it happened a long time ago and the publishing landscape is completely different now, but seeing the same series being treated so differently is eye-opening.

Okay, looks like we’re heading straight for the last battle with Xehanort, judging by the chapter thumbnail. The chapter’s title is 三人で一人前[san-ri de ichi-ri mae], which I assume is the Japanese equivalent of the “Three Half-Pints”.

If you have the Gangan Online app, you can read it now. Otherwise you’ll be waiting a couple weeks to read it on the website

Sounds similar to Bleach, where Kubo took his sweet time and then it's like he suddenly realised he had a month to finish out a decade's worth of story.

Wasn’t that a combo of health issues and editors pushing him to wrap it up? Or am I thinking of Yu-Gi-Oh..?

On that note, since I don’t have the app, I don’t know if this the actual end to the manga or if he’s going through to the Re:Mind material next

From what I recall, those were the running theories, but then we found out that he had to know about it at least a year in advance.

However, I would believe there were health issues. It's a horribly brutal toxic industry. I don't know how Oda does it.
