I need to come back and read more of this manga. I haven't read it since Tokyopop dropped off after volume 2 of KH2.

Fingers crossed it’ll all get re-released sooner rather than later, but in the meantime, if you see any copies of the Yen Press releases for the KH manga or novels in the wild, grab ‘em first chance you get.I need to come back and read more of this manga. Very good to see that the Kingdom Hearts manga has managed to find a new home in the UK. I know Panini's published manga in other countries but it seems this is the first time they're giving it a shot over here alongside Stitch and the Samurai (another Disney manga though done by Tokyopop) so here's hoping they get to release more including the other chapters Yen Press didn't get round to doing before they lost the license and maybe even get the other mangas back in print again.NEW PUBLISHER ALERT!!! …well, in the UK at least.
Panini Comics quietly released their printing of the first KH3 volume last month, under their Panini Manga banner. I literally didn't know anything about it until I stumbled across it in HMV today.
Things to know:
-I only skimmed through it in store, and it appears to be using the same translation as Yen Press.
-All evidence points to this being a UK-exclusive release; only a GBP price is listed on the back cover, and it only shows up as a listing on the UK Amazon.
-Volume 2 is coming out on November 5. No word yet on Volume 3, or any past volume reprints.
Wait, did the yen press ones go out of print too? Aye yai yai, I wish I would have been snagging these...Fingers crossed it’ll all get re-released sooner rather than later, but in the meantime, if you see any copies of the Yen Press releases for the KH manga or novels in the wild, grab ‘em first chance you get.
Well, yeah. Hence why there's a new publisher to begin with.Wait, did the yen press ones go out of print too? Aye yai yai, I wish I would have been snagging these...
Yeahhh they’ve been out of print since October last year because, for some reason, Disney and Yen Press didn’t renew their contract, so the rights to any Disney manga/comics they were publishing(Big Hero 6 manga, W.I.T.C.H, etc) are now up for grabs.Wait, did the yen press ones go out of print too? W.I.T.C.H is still ongoing? Omg, I know what I'm doing todayYeahhh they’ve been out of print since October last year because, for some reason, Disney and Yen Press didn’t renew their contract, so the rights to any Disney manga/comics they were publishing(Big Hero 6 manga, W.I.T.C.H, etc) are now up for grabs.
I don’t know about ongoing, but at the time they acquired it, Yen Press did get the license with the intention of publishing all the volumes. I don’t know what the story is with the series in the West right now.W.I.T.C.H is still ongoing? Omg, I know what I'm doing today
I checked it out after this post and basically Yen Press was just rereleasing omnibus editions of the comics, which is nice bc a lot of them didn't have official translations. I read the series online back in the day but it'll be nice to have these editions. It's too bad Disney doesn't give a single shit about W.I.T.C.H. Maybe if Disney didn't cannibalise Jetix it could have had more seasonsI don’t know about ongoing, but at the time they acquired it, Yen Press did get the license with the intention of publishing all the volumes. That's frustrating. I hope someone picks it back up and republishes. From what I saw, the worst off of all the KH stuff right now is Days, those have reached astronomical prices compared to the rest.Yeahhh they’ve been out of print since October last year because, for some reason, Disney and Yen Press didn’t renew their contract, so the rights to any Disney manga/comics they were publishing(Big Hero 6 manga, W.I.T.C.H, etc) are now up for grabs.
Well. They showed up.Yep, though we did get a new doodle of Sora and some of the Organization looking over his phone.
Probably a long shot but maybe that means we’ll see Marluxia, Larxene and Luxord show up in the next chapter?
We never did get that fight alongside Mickey, so maybe that’s next followed by the battle with the 3 Xehanorts. Like how in KH2’s manga they skipped Demyx’s 2nd fight and replaced it inside the Castle that Never Was. Might go about as quickly as the previous battles, but we could at least say they aren’t forgotten.
Crazy how my opinion on the games contrasts my opinion on the manga post-2Amano-san honestly should have just given the manga a premature "And the adventure continues…" ending. I wouldn't have blamed him.
