Real journalistic reviews just cannot compete with Let's Plays on YouTube by PewDiePie et al in terms of popularity, which is so sad. It's why IGN had to transform into website not just about games but movies, TV series and other entertainment as well, and why Joystiq had to shut down while the clickbaity and gossipy Kotaku survived.

I love Kotaku. They have so many articles about dicks in videogames.

The website will probably still exist in some way for archival purposes for awhile but there is effectively nobody running the site anymore and will see no further updates.

Heard about this from wee187 on Twitter. This like, hella sucks. Maybe I should have watched their videos more. I loved their stuff, and it just sucks to see everything from it getting axed. Reminds me of when G4 got axed.

DEFY Media has decided to shut down GameTrailers.

They didn't really supply a reason too, which kinda sucks. GT reviews were something I trusted.

You forgot about Kobe Bryant until the end of the NBA Season.

It will probably be archived on Wayback Machine. After a while, most content will disappear, so I'd recommend backing up anything important over there if you had things worth saving.

I know Aldo, they've had a lot of dirty articles lately. But thing is I hate IGN and all things connected to it, tbh.

Thing is, IGN runs even the site that seems to hate KH; I've been trying to find a better game news site tho. ^^ RPGamer does for RPG news but..
