After seeing the Epilogue, I am 100% convinced that Namine is Ava similarly to how Luxu is Braig. Who sent the Dandelions into the UX world and erased their memories? Ava. Who has the unexplained power to erase memories in Sora's time? Namine. Luxu also notes how Ava is the only one who didn't appear and is told she abandoned her role. Also, Namine means 'wave' and guess who's Keyblade has a wave motif? Ava.

The gist of it is:
Luxu is somewhat lustful/glad to hold his keyblade in his hand again.
Ira questioned whether Luxu called them and wondered whether Luxu (Xigbar) is Luxu due to differences in body. To which, Luxu responds that it is nostalgic to be called Luxu, but he now goes by Xigbar. Invi reconfirms this.
Luxu reaffirms the transfer of hearts from the Secret Reports and Aced asks for an explanation. Luxu suggests that it takes time, but it is his mission/role.
Luxu affirms that Ava is not here. To which, Gula questions his wordings ('As I thought'-kind of wording). They then discusses Ava and her stance on her role. Aced questions what is his role and Luxu responds that it will be a long story.
Eraqus set up a new game. Xehanort questions about the 7 pieces.

XB: Yeah.

XB: Its been a while since someone called me that, right now I'm called Xigbar or whatever.
INVI: Are you really Luxu?
XB: Its been such a wild ride, I've left that name and body behind and changed vessels many times, but inside of me hasnt changed
ACED: What happened? Explain!
XB: Its been a very long time, but now my mission is over
Invi: Your Mission?
XG: Makes sense Ava isn't here.
Gula: What do you mean as expected?
XB: It was part of Ava's mission to tell me
Gula; You mean you didn't call Ava?
XB: No, Ava probably went off to do what she believed in
Aced: Enough, Luxu what is your mission?
XB: It's a long story

Xehanort: Whats that?

EDIT: Unless Maleficent is supposed to be the dragon and the far-off piece is MoM...OR MoM's piece isn't even there...bleh.

I don't think Xehanort and Eraqus are necessarily going to be "involved" in the next saga. This is just the framework for introducing it using the chess motif that was featured throughout the game. At most we'll have more information about their young lives.

I'm intrigued by the fact there are just 7 Darkness pieces. And the fact Eraqus of all people seems to know what it's all about.

So we have 7 pieces. Invi, Gula, Aced, Ira, Luxu, and two others. Ava seems to possibly already be counted out, so probably not her. Master of Masters is probably big bad number 2, and that leaves one piece left. Maleficent strikes me as a suspicious figure in all of this.

So the implications that Braig / Xigbar is Luxu turns out to be right after all. And the Foretellers sans Ava are now on the dark side of the chess board? Have they become corrupted? In any case, good to see that they will play a grander role than in Back Cover. I always wished that we would see more of them.

But hold on... for Xigbar to meet the four foretellers, surely time travel must have been involved? Does this meeting take place in the past or the present? If it’s in the past, I could see since there’s a version of Xigbar (OG Luxu) already existing, but if it’s in the present, shouldn’t it imply that Ira, Aced, Invi, and Gula have a version of them waiting in the present, the same era as the main characters, too?

Crazy to think of the lengths Luxu has gone through until now. The world be damned if that isn’t some dedication. And in a true KH fashion, one question is answered only for 672,319 others to pop up.

Braig/Xigbar being Luxu was a good plot twist.

I thought his personality was more like MoM and now I'm still wondering if MoM is a new character or a character we already know. Demyx or Future Sora are may crazy bets.

As for Ava. I still think Kairi's Grandmother will be connected to this.

The new chess game will mostly likely be 13 lights vs 7 Darkness, considering the amount of good characters alive.

If he's the only white piece in this round I'll be upset. Also, if the goat is supposed to represent Luxu this time, it means the Master of Masters is still around for who knows how more arcs until we beat HIM.

I wanted to post on the resetera thread when I saw something about Ava being spread (couldn't make an account). For everyone wondering about the chess pieces:

She is on the side of darkness. I found some screenshots from twitter of a sideview and the front view, and you can clearly see her fox mask on the far right. Some people were saying it looked like Maleficent, but I wasn't satisfied with that answer for obvious reasons (it would be weird to have a sole disney villain as a main antagonist among those original characters...). Here's a link to the side view photo from the epilogue on Twitter:

It should be the third photo in the post and you can see Ava's fox mask right beside Invi's piece, it's just that Ava's is set back on the right so you can't see it in the front shot they gave us. You can see her pointed ears and her snout.
