Four Roads, Four Characters

Ok, so, I started thinking one day, and I realized that the number 4 comes up quite a few times in the KH series.

4 keybladers
Sora, Riku, Kairi, Mickey

4 Crossroads
Darkness Twilight Light Present

4 characters played as:
In the KH series you play as:
Sora
A Heartless
A Nobody
Riku

This tread mainly though is about the 4 characters played as, and the crossroads.

Darkness: Mickey
Light : Sora
Twilight : Riku
Present : Kairi


yeah, just throwing it out there.

ps: don't know if anyone's thought about it or not, but you play as a heartless the entire game of CoM
just an interesting tidbit.

When I first clicked on this, I was thinking it would be something about Terra, Aqua, Ven and the UEM walking down the four crossroads and maybe something doing with the roads, but...
I'm confused....
I see it more as things come in three...
Three games in the series before Nomura desided to start a new one...
Three parts of the body...
Three forms of enemies fought...Heartless, Nobody and complete...
Three main Keyblades (Kingdom, Reverse and Way to Dawn)...
Three character's whose name represents a part of earth...Land, Sky and Sea...
Three members of Sora's attacking group...

Oh, and Sora being a Heartless is interesting...The way things happened, Sora was complete, but in a sense, not. That is a real annoying subject to talk about, mainly because Sora wasn't a heartless, but had created a Nobody, like Kairi.

well technically he was an existence just of a heart, basically a heartless like Xehanort, but fundamentally different.

Dawn is Twilight.

Mickey
Sora
Riku.

I only see three paths. I see Kairi as the fourth, but no one else

Roxas is Sora, so that doesn't count

i agree with xemnas.01, i do beleive that it does come more as a triplet. three knights, three destiny heroes, three in your party, three main enemies, nobody, heartless, and another new enemy for the third game.

... It's a game directed at kids. I seriously doubt you could play the U.E.M.

We don't know if kairi is a weilder or not, all we know is that she can weild one... but we never see it again after that one scene. If you want the prerequiste to being 'holding a keyblade' then damn... everybody is a weilder.

the nobody's name is roxas, and you forgot mickey. so that's five. and the heartless was sora.

Nobodies don't represent twilight. They represent "nothing". there is a difference. Twilight means going from light to dark, nobodies have nothing to do with light or dark. People refer to the realm of nothingness as the "twilight realm" but thats only because it lies between the light and dark realms. Roxas did not walk a light then dark path in life. And nobodies don't represent twilight.

I think its pretty obvious that you don't play as a heartless in CoM. Have you seen sora's heartless? Sure roxas also existed, but roxas is a special nobody, and sora clearly still had his body, or elde he wouldn't have been there.

You have to think of the CONTEXT. Diz gave him two choices, light or darkness. He chose the road IMBETWEEN,Diz asked if he meant nightfall, but he said dawn;that meaing that he isn't going back to the darkness, but is trying to progress back to the light. Dawn isn't the path, the path is imbetween.(and imbetween in KH is twilight)

Yes. Both are refered to as 'twilight times.'

riku chose on his own didnt he? he was weilding a keblade before diz came along plus, he was from light but walked hte path of darkness first and that mite make dawn or sumthing.
