first attempt in 2 years

i got the stocks and resources through Kaz's pac( thank you btw =] )
i didnt read any tuts, this was just the knowlegde i still had of graphics
unfortunately im stuck...any suggestions? open to all comments and critiques =]

Sharpen the stock to emphasize it.

Lower the opacity of your light source, sharpen the stock, add a little bit more color to the background, and sharpen the stock.

It's looking good though ;D

I'd say set your light source layer to lighten or soft light and maybe put some catchy text in the background

the light source is on lighten and i tried soft light but it just blended in to the BG -__-

and im horrible when it comes to fonts and choosing the right ones for a tag, thats why i always tend to just leave it without a text -__-

hmm well try having a more saturated yellow, that tends to help a lot when you have a layer on light. Or you could try a dark yellow and put it on color dodge.
