Felden waited under the boat. He smiled, and paced back and forth.
Felden waited for Fletch to come down deck. He heard some running down the stairs. Felden snapped his head that way.
The crewman was about to yell out, but his mouth sealed shut. "Be quiet you insolent fool" snapped Felden. Felden heard some screaming updeck.
Looks like Fletch wouldn't be coming back either. "Time to travel back..."sighed Felden.
He walked in the direction of the wall and vanished.

A hot flash of purple laser cut through the horrific looking Sinspawn, as it dropped to the Bevelle concrete, its body morphed into pyreflies, disappearing into the atmosphere.

“On your left Boss!”

Arcade wheeled around, a swift roundhouse sent the creature tumbling away. He straightened his fedora, and adjusted his white tie. A look of disgust crossed the man’s face as he noticed a bit of purple Sinspawn blood splashed against his vest. The Immortal Man let out a deep sigh before he turned to his men, who now had a new addition to them.

She was a small girl, no more than five feet, and youthful. She had short red hair, covered by a black and white jester’s hat, and dressed in a white and black stripped shirt and baggy grey cargo shorts. Her feet were covered by two clown shoes (complete with bells on the pointed toes), one white, and one black. Her brown and green [green irises, rimmed with brown] eyes were filled with perpetual excitement.

“Jayx, why don’t you explain to me what happened here again?” The Boss, at least a whole foot taller than the youngster, now hovered directly above her, face filled with fury. “Make sure to explain the bit about why you were fourty-five seconds late on the trigger for Apu.” The girl blushed—though more from fear than embarrassment.

“W-well Boss…ya’see….” Jayx rocked back and forth on her heels nervously. Her mind was reeling as she tried to recollect the past hour and a half. “I was on my way to the building RIGHT across from Apu’s place, like ya’said. BUT…ya’didn’t tell me it was guarded…so…ya’see….”

“Here to inspect?” A man in a long green robe scoffed, “Inspect what? You’re a kid.”

Young Jayx stood outside the supposedly abandoned Bevelle warehouse, clipboard in her hands, newly ‘acquired’ [stolen] glasses on her face. She even stood on her tip-toes, trying to make herself look as tall as possible.

“EXCUSE ME! I’ll have ya’know, I am a Midgetarian, our species may LOOK young, but ya’see, we are many moons old! I am 147 myself. So, in reality, ya’see, I am YOUR elder. Now, step aside youngin’!” The Little Jester sauntered past the man, only to be shoved back.

“Nice try. I’m studying Biology, and I’ve never heard of a ‘Midgetarian’. Look, kid, why don’t you turn around and head to the Ceremony? Get a good seat—I won’t warn you again.” The guard crossed his arms, which Jayx mimicked.

“Listen! Ya’don’t understand! I NEED to get through! The Boss’ll—“

“Boss? Somebody put you up to this? Who?!” The man began to step up to the youngster, his tone much more forceful.

“Ahaha…did I say ‘Boss’? I meant…floss! Ya’see, I REALLY need to floss my teeth!” She sucked on her chompers, “See? Ahaha…hey…you shouldn’t get so close to a lad—mff—“ Jayx had lost her footing. Now she felt herself tumbling back, and onto…something warm and fuzzy.

“Hrm.”

The girl gingerly looked up, eyes filled with fear. “Uhm, uhm, uhm,” The breaker of her fall was a tall, blue giant. Half man, half monster, all terrifying. He looked down at Jayx with an unmoved expression.

“Move.” The horned man spat. As commanded, Jayx barrel rolled out of the man’s path.

“E-Elder Kimahri!” The robed man at the doorway saluted. “I assume you’re hear to inspect?” The man-beast just nodded, causing the doorman to swiftly move out the way.

“Ah! I’m with Kim!” Jayx ran up behind the beast, flailing her hand in the air.

“You’re with…the Elder? Hrm. Suuuure.” The doorman chuckled, but Kimahri frowned. “Looks like he doesn’t agree kid.”

“But—“

“Let her in.” The one known as ‘Elder’ spoke.

“Wha-? Y-yes sir.”

Sff, Sff!

The story was interrupted by the appearance of yet another wave of Sinspawn. With a flick of the wrist, a whimsical golden light gathered around Arcade's steel left hand. Seconds later, Tommy Gun Ophelia had appeared.

"Hold that thought Jayx,"

[The boat was still at the docks right? Right?]

Daniel continued fighting, making his way through the crowd as pyreflies flew around and people were dropping here and there. Some injured and others....well, you know. The other three guardians were proving why they deserved to be on this journey, protecting Lucille as best as they could. Not only that but there was a fire on the ship.

"Renn! You and Inferno escort Lucille to the ship." Daniel commanded, "Cael, find any al bhed that knows how to drive one of these boats and bring them here!" Daniel ducked as a sin spawn nearly took his head off then thrust his weapon at its belly then ripping his gunblade out violently. He continued to look on in case Sin were to rear it's ugly head. He did not find Sin, but he did find something more interesting. Daniel caught his eyes as he looked at Lucille, then he spoke. "From now on heroes every time you wreck our plans we will kill people." The man then spoke again. "Who knows we might result to hunting you down. One by one. We will meet again heroes." Before Daniel could get to him, he disappeared into a dark void along with another person.

"Lady Lucille, let's go!" Daniel yelled. He froze in place as he noticed three sinspawn coming at her from behind. Three bullets saved the summoner from harm. Daniel traced the bullets direction and found who it was. A woman wielding guns seemed to have a smile on her face, this made Daniel smile to himself so he went to her. Thanks to Lucille, he gained an extra boost of speed due to a haste spell and the sinspawn began moving at the pace of a snail.

"You, come with me....now." He demanded, "We'll leave Baralai and the others to handle this."

Daniel ran over to the boat entrance, not sure about what to do about the flames. He only stared at them until a woman dressed in black came to his aid. "Don't worry about it," She said, "Douse these flames!" The doll in her hands jumped in front of her and pulled his hands down in synch with hers. A rush of water fell from the sky and put the fire out.

Daniel looked at his saviour and nodded, "Thanks Lulu, we will do this for you." He said. Daniel then turned to his new companions and beckoned for them to rush to the boat.

Pyreflies surrounding them from every sinspawn killed, he heard Daniel's command. "I'll be back." He answered, dashing off to find any Al Bhed nearby. Those around the docks should be able to sail these boats. And then he found the one man he didn't expect to see, but it was a perfect moment to find him there.

"Enyat!" He called out. Enyat was there, fending off Sinspawns. "I thought you left." He said.

"Asked our friend to bring the ship back to Bikanel when we spotted Sin. I didn't want my baby to get hurt," He grinned. "I stayed to see you off, truth be told. Then these fiends appeared." He shot down a few Sinspawns in his way.

Casting Flare, Cael brought down those surrounding them. "The boat that's taking the Summoner to Besaid...we need someone who can sail it. E haat ouin ramb." Cael said seriously. As soon as he finished his sentence, Enyat threw a grenade, killing the Sinspawns.

Enyat nodded, understanding the tone that Cael presented. "Let's get going then." He said, and they both dashed back to the boat where Lucille and the rest were. "Is this the boat?" He asked Cael, to which he nodded in response. "Alright. Leave it to me."

"Back! Found my friend, Enyat, he'll help us get out of here." Cael told Daniel. Enyat nodded respectfully to Daniel before saying, "I'm guessing everyone's ready to leave the ship? I can get this sailing in no time." He said, heading off to the bridge.

Cael nodded in agreement. Other than the guardians and the Summoner, he noticed a woman with guns as well as Lulu. Giving a slight bow to Lulu, he smiled confidently. "We'll make it through." He said. He faced the woman with guns. "Nice to see someone new joining the group." He said, mistakenly thinking she was a new guardian.

"We're going!" He heard Enyat yell.

Pyreflies fluttered around the shady looking foursome. Arcade, with a smirk, twirlled Tommy Gun Ophelia about his index in an attempt to flip the barrel towards his rear end, where one more crawler was approaching. The dapper man squeezed the trigger, and out came a wide collumn of flames. The embers took hold of the spawn, causing it to writhe in pain, slowly becoming a mass of ash and pyrefly.

"We need to get on that boat." The Boss said as he dismissed Ophelia in a mass of golden light. For now, they had a moment to breathe, sin must have been readying his next wave. Jayx, Goatee, and Porn Stache looked at their leader, confused.

"A boat? Why can't we just take Styx, like normal?" Jayx pouted. The sea air didn't quite strike her as a fun time. Arcade narrowed his eyes in frustration before replying, "Even with the chaos going on, I don't wanna risk anyone seeing Styx." Jayx groaned at the response, but he had a point, so she couldn't argue.

"But I did some digging earlier, and the boat's headed for Besaid ya'see, why would we wanna go there? Unless ya'wanna go meet the new Summoner, but why would ya'wanna---"

She watched as the Boss pulled a small cerulean sphere from his breast pocket.

"Ah, Boss?"

"Ssh, listen."

Jayx silently gasped, and followed orders. She shut her eyes and listened...for something. And, indeed, did she hear something. Screams, gunfire, and clashing metals. "Uhm..." The tiny jester bit her lip.

"That's da resonance, right Boss?" Goatee concluded. Arcade nodded, and motioned towards P. Stache who began to fumble around his pockets. "That quiet hummin' noise?" The Boss nodded again.

"That's right," He smirked, snatching the sphere P. Stache fished out from his pockets, "Listen to that beautiful song!" Arcade now held both Spheres in his hands, the one from the safehouse, and the one they had "aquired' [stolen] from the Late Apu. He held them dangerously close to each other, causing that dull hum, to escalate into a regular screaming banshee. Not only that, but the two orbs began to glow an even brighter blue than before.

"Before poor Apu passed, he mentioned that he had some men digging around in Besaid for the third Sphere and that, my good men, is where we're headed. If we go as allies of the Summoner, it'll be even easier for us to nab it. Understand?" The man in the fedora looked at each one of his men as he tossed both Spheres Jayx's way. "Put those in that big ass bag you carry, alright?" Arcade pointed at the overgrown black bag slung over the girl's shoulder. She struggled to catch each orb, but still did, because she knew that if anything happened to them, she would be shot on the spot.
"So how are we gonna get on the boat? Ya'cant just hop on! It's private!"

Arcade stroked his beard, at that same moment, the hairs on his neck gradually pricked up.

"Looks like the spawn are back...and that gives me an idea..." That trademark Gambit smirk was in full swing.

10 Minutes later - Bevelle Docks

EEEEEEEEEEK! Somebody HELP!!

A small youth clad in clown shoes and a clown hat came speeding onto the docks, at least three Sinspawn trailing behind her. "Somebody! Anybody! Help me! I can I ever hope to survive!" Just as the large boat came into perfect view, she tripped and skidded across the ground. "Oh no!" The Sinspawn were now closing in, she could hear their snarls oh so clearly.

"Ahhh---"

Three gallant knights appeared. With one shot from each of their guns they dispatched the beasts, setting those astral lights free into the sky.

"Are you okay miss?" The apparent leader, a suave looking man with a stylish black fedora atop his head, crouched down to lend her a hand. "Here, take my hand," A warm smile crossed the man's face, as the starry eyed youth clutched his hand. "Now, what in the world are you doing in such a dangerous place? You should get home!" The girl, now safely back on her feet let out a sigh.

"I would if I could...but I live in Besaid. I came here with my Granma ya'see...and the...the monsters got her..." The youth's eyes slowly swelled with tears, "I'm sorry..." The knight in shining vest patted the girl on her head, that smile of his still in fullswing.

"There, there," He flashed his men careful looks, "Tell you what, miss, we'll get you to Besaid. It's the least we could do! How's about it guys?" The man turned around two his much rougher looking compadre's, and both of them flashed him a thumbs up. "Hahah! Awlright then! Now, what's your name miss?" The girl blinked, looking like the shock from the earlier chase gave her amnesia.

"Uhm, I'm...Kid...?"

The leader grimaced.

"It's all I had..." 'Kid' whispered.

"Ah, Kid! An interesting name! I'm Jay Gatsby, Goatee here is Nick Carraway, and the twitchy one is Tommy Buchanan. And we are..." The trio moved together, "The Radical Dreamers!" A goofy looking group pose is what finished the introduction. "Hmm...looks like...Sinspawn are coming! Look, over there! A boat! We should go there for shelter!" Gatsby shoved Kid Nick's way. Nick plucked the girl from the ground and stuffed her under his arm. "Hurry!" At once, Gatsby and his boys began to high-tail it for the Summoner's boat.

"Hey! Wait! Let us on!" The Boss of the 'Radical Dreamers' hollered. Hopefully they would let them on, it would make things a lot smoother.

My secret lair, the COMMON SENSE base of justice,
"Thanks for the Sinspawn Danial" said Inferno "Now to take out the fires ..." but he was interuppted by a guy dressed in black saying "From here on out heros if you wreck our plans we kill people. Who know we may even resort to hunting you down one by one, we will meet again heros" he heard the man say. "God i wish i could just skip by those extremeists bent on destroying our ship and hope" said Inferno. Just then Danial asked him and Renn to esort lady lucille to the boat and put out the fire. "Okay i have no objetions to that Danial come on Lucille let's put out i fire that i kinda started to kill a Massive Sinspawn on it" said Inferno. But just as he thought of a plan to do so Lulu came and used wateraga on the fires putting them out.

Renn reicieved Daniel's orders loud and clear. "You don't have to tell me, Just so you know." Renn soon wedged his blade into another Piece of Sinspawn and Said: "C'mon Lucille! let us escort you to Besaid." Renn was then slammed by one of the sinspawn's vines, slamming him into a wall. "Grr... just great." Soon enough he closed his eyes and a white aura came about him. "Heal!" The aura concentrated on his palm and came towards him, healing his wounds partially, then he sliced another Sinspawn in half with Power break. He soon reached the boat and saw it was relativly undamaged. aside from a few burns... He actually caught a few glympses of Lulu using a water spell to douse the flames. "Good. C'mon guys we need to get to Besaid!"

"From now on heroes, every time you wreck our plans, we will kill people. Who knows we might result to hunting you down. One by one. We will meet again heroes."

How could it have come to this? Because suddenly stopping Sin is a crime? How can they go around doing things like that?! And it that IS the case, then is this the right thing to do...?

No, this is the right thing. Stopping Sin...and stopping them.

"I'm sorry!" Lucille apologized to Lulu, immediately boarding the boat. She looked back at the Guardians following her, the people who had remained, the Sinspawn who littered the path. In a way, it was her fault; but this was something she had long accepted, something in the back of her mind that she knew would happen. People dying was unavoidable, unfortunately, and there was little she could do about it. She couldn't even perform a proper Sending because of the haste they had to make.

She didn't like how this was turning out. At all.

Lucille wished the boat would hurry up and leave; the sooner they left, the sooner it would end...

As Fletcher was heading towards Besaid he stopped and thought about his life.
"What would've happened in my life if I didn't kill those people? Would I not be working for Sin? Would I be a guardian? Meh I like to be evil."
Fletcher's shadow rippled and he shot forward at an outstanding speed.
"Those heroes will be destroyed! No matter what the consiquences are.."

Eve frowned with contempt at the black man. Did he just give me an order? She was so dazed that she had not noticed the halt of her enemies’ movement. Never one to conform to authority, she attempted a scathing retort but was interrupted by the blond man before even starting. Nice to see someone new joining the group—what? Inept, rude and presumptuous, this lot are. Surveying her surroundings, the infinite Sinspawn that littered the docks in grotesque tableau, held in place by an invisible force, she realized her interests were best served getting on the ship with the odd group of younglings and the summoner they protected. She had to chuckle at the irony: she came to Bevelle to find hope but found a summoner instead, the people whose practices had managed to revive Sin time and time again, not stop it. Maybe there would be safety in numbers. Maybe.

She boarded the ship and marched straight to the crew-cut hair man, brushing past people unfortunate enough to obstruct her path. Hazel eyes stared him down with ignited fury matching the flames that ravaged the hull earlier. “One, learn your place; you are not my commander, and my loyalties lie only with myself and the summoner. Are we crystal?” They turned to lock on the blond man who stood only footsteps away. “Two, I have no intention of joining this riffraff flock until you get your acts together—starting with him.” She pointed at the teenager who spawned the fire. “One more time you endanger the summoner and I’ll end you.”

Facing the docks, she pointed her gun at the rushing flurry of black headed their way. “Now, who’s going to help me stop that thing from harming…what are your names?” She pulled the trigger and fired bullet after bullet before they answered; the Sinspawn’s corporeal form touched the side of the boat before exploding into a burst of pyreflies. Hand resting on hip, she whipped her head around to face them, hair flung to the side in an arc. “Eve. Remember the name: you’ll be screaming it the next time you find yourself in danger and need my help.”

"If you ever harm the summoner again i'll put an end to you"said a person then the person said "Eve remember the name you'll be screaming it when you're in danger and need my help." "Hey i was tring to kill a Sinspawn on the boat fatass and the summoner will always be highly guarded by me. If you want to deny it get on the boat and come with us Eve" said Inferno mocking Eve and then boarded the boat. The boat was classy and was highly protected so he wanted to go the bar on the ship to get some beer and bet on blitzball games with Renn he thought and approched Renn and said "Wanna go to the bar and have a beer or two?"

"Sorry... I don't drink... Much rather practice sparring." Renn soon turned away from Inferno and took out his blades and started slicing imaginary fiends to bits. His moves were fluid and graceful, no less leathal because of his implements. His attacks soon accellerated, killing off dozens of fiends at a time. they began to overtake him and so he began using more lethal forms some of the Al bhed had taught him, he was bounding up and around and it ended in him faking a limp in his leg. He soon rose then looked out toward the ocean.

“One, learn your place; you are not my commander, and my loyalties lie only with myself and the summoner. Are we crystal?”

"Sorry miss, I was caught up in the spur of the moment." Daniel said, trying to save his own skin. She then went back to scolding the other two guardians that was aboard the boat with the summoner.

He then turned around and noticed that Cael had brought a driver with him. An Al bhed man named Enyat. If anyone could drive one of these things, it would be an Al bhed, the masters of machina. "Let's get going now." He said, defending any and all sinspawn trying to get on the ship. Daniel allowed a group of people to get on the ship since they were accompanied by a little girl. Lulu and Vidina were also on the ship, staying in a corner.

With everyone on board, Enyat took control of the boat and began taking them out of Bevlle. Daniel watched as the city began to fade from view. Even though Daniel didn't really care for people, he wished he could have stayed and help the people out. But this...this was a more important mission and he would rather risk the lives of the people there if he could help save the lives of the rest of her people.

"One, learn your place; you are not my commander, and my loyalties lie only with myself and the summoner. Are we crystal?"

Cael watched the auburn haired woman speak to Daniel. Perhaps she wasn't with them. But the way she spoke; it was almost venomous. He silently gulped.

"Two, I have no intention of joining this riffraff flock until you get your acts together—starting with him."

He looked at the boy she was pointing at. Ah. He scratched his head lightly. "Right. As you wish." He said, shrugging it off. He did think Inferno was a reckless fighter. If anything, setting your own boat or any other boat on fire was not a smart move. Yet at the same time, he didn't find the need for her to speak so coldly.

Once the Sinspawns were killed and the boat moving out from the docks, Cael was about to take a break when the woman turned to face them.

“Eve. Remember the name: you’ll be screaming it the next time you find yourself in danger and need my help.”

He laughed awkwardly. "Cael." He said. Before he could say anything more, he was interrupted by Inferno.

"Hey I was tring to kill a Sinspawn on the boat fatass and the summoner will always be highly guarded by me. If you want to deny it get on the boat and come with us Eve."

Cael rolled his eyes. Smooth. It seems like she thinks we're all fools. He thought. The boat was out on sea, and it would take some time before they reach Besaid. He went to the bridge and talked to Enyat for a bit until he decided to come out to deck. The fresh sea breeze calmed him down and he sat down for a moment, until he saw Daniel and the Summoner. "Hey," He called out, walking towards them.

"So...we haven't really had time to introduce ourselves. Well you know my name already, Cael, if you've forgotten, but I'm not sure of yours or the other guardians. And..." He glanced at Eve. "Did she join us?" He asked softly, nudging his head in her direction.

The cretin that insulted Eve no sooner heard the answer to his invitation to gamble and further intoxicate than he found himself rammed against the metal wall of the ship, the smooth touch of a woman’s skin on his neck as the hand wrapping around it tightened. Its cold was unshakable and began to leech at what shreds of confidence he had left in him. Eve bared teeth, cold, cruel, perfect. “Watch yourself, little boy. I don’t know what your momma told you, nor do I give a flicker of thought for it, but there are some people you never cross. I am one of these people.” Pushing him on the wall once more with a crash that punctuated her threat and turned heads on deck, she whispered deliberately, “Now, go run along and set yourself on fire.”

She released her grip and the boat swayed a little. A light breeze traced her face as the silence that fell over the boat was broken once more by hushed whispers, fear and disdain spreading among the passengers. Facing Cael’s direction, she felt a tickling feeling in her gut. Guilt? No, just indigestion from the recalcitrance is all. She walked to his group. “There’s little else to say now except to plan our next action.” Eyeing the Al Bhed man, she snickered, “And, yes, I heard you earlier. I will be travelling with you mainly because this group needs someone who actually knows what they’re doing, lest the summoner be lost to—oh, I don’t know—a rampant Thunder spell next.” The punctuating knocks from the heels of her boots on the wooden floor ceased when she reached the group.

“So we go to Besaid. Then what? We go on another wild Fayth hunt? Like that hasn’t been done a thousand times before.” Hazel irises rolled. “What we need is a solid plan to vanquish Sin. Permanently. And to do that, we need to know why and how it has returned, and what made the Eternal Calm un-eternal.” She snapped her fingers. “Our first objective is reconnaissance. Learn our enemy inside out, and act from there; you don't just send blind soldiers out onto the battlefield. But before that we should learn at least each other’s names. You all know mine, and this guy over here is Cael. The rest of you are?”

Arcade and his boys, 'rescued' Jayx sitting right next to them, leaned against the port side of the boat. They kept to themselves for a good while, paid their thanks to that fellow who let them on and what not. The reason for this being that Arcade needed to people watch first; he needed to know just what she was dealing with.

"They've got one of the Late High Summoner's people with em', Lulu. I'd notice those curves anywhere..." The Boss licked his lips a clear hint of lust in his glowing grey eyes. A swift jab in the shin was delivered to him by Jayx.

"Gross!" She hollered from the wooden floor beside him.

"Shaddup. Anyway. Looks like they're not quite the well oiled machine they should be yet--considering that they're protecting all of Spira's hopes," The man adjusted the fedora atop his head, tilting it upwards so that his black bangs could float about on the seabreeze. He then pointed with his free hand at the youth who I.D'ed himself as 'Inferno', "This Blaze kid, him and the other beauty don't get along." By 'Other Beauty' he was refering to the olive-skinned woman who called herself Eve. "We might be able to work with that in the future..."

With both hands, Arcade started to pat himself down furiously. Eyes narrowed in contempt; he had lost his cigarettes. Visibly frustrated he turned to Goatee--codename Nick now--and asked, "Nick, lemme borrow a smoke ah?" Nick nodded and removed the small white pack from a pocket on his bulletproof vest. The giant of a man slid one out, and passed it his Boss' way. "Much obliged. Now," Lighter in steel hand, Arcade put the vile stick up to his lips and lit its tip, inhaling all of its toxins with immense pleasure.

The gears in his mechanical left arm locked up when near the sea. It tended to cause him some pain. The aches were dull, and little more than an annoyance, but he still did not like them. The nursing buzz of a Rolling 7s cigarette quickly took that sensation away.

"As for the rest of them," He pointed at each one as he spoke on them respectively, "That one, the one who let us on here? We should watch him. Infact, the Beauty and him are main ones we should look out for," Jayx and Goatee looked his way, while P. Stache traced the cloud's in the sky.

"Why Boss?" Both of them asked in unison.

"Live a hundred years and you learn how to tell someone's level of experience at a glance. Those two know they're way around a battle field," He pointed towards the tall one, "Him too, he could be a problem also. The others though," Arcade pulled the cigarette away from his lips. He brought his arm behind him and tilted the stick towards the ocean blue, going on to flick bits of grey ash into her, "They're green. They've got a lot to learn. Especially the Lady Summoner herself." He eyed the youth. A hint of nostalgia overtook him as he remembered an old friend.

"Well then!" He pushed off of the wooden guard, fixed his shirt collar, dusted his vest and pants and started a swagger filled stroll. "Might as well introduce ourselves hm? After all, the plan is to make friends right?" The Boss had a devilish grin plastered on his face, one he struggled to hide as his footsteps made their way to the Summoner's crew.

"Yo...correct me if I'm wrong but, are you the Lady Lucile?" The sharply dressed man's mouth formed a giant 'O' shape in fake awe of the girl, "I'm sorry, where're my manners?" Arcade shook his head and shrugged sheepishly, "My name is Jay Gatsby, these are my boys Nick and Tommy. Little girl back there is Kid," The clown hat wearing girl waved from behind him, "We're travelers, you see." 'Jay' held his organic, right hand out in front of the Summoner in greetings.

"My apologies if I come off too forward--I just didn't expect to see the Lady Summoner on this ship. You understand right?" Arcade smiled warmly as he tossed the remnants of his cigarette to the floorboards below.

Lucille couldn't take it anymore. The bickering, the trying to be in charge, the pushovers--this group obviously didn't get along, and she was more than sure that if it wasn't for her being Summoner, she definitely would've wanted out. But no, she was the main reason for the group in the first place, and thus was stuck with this...bunch of misfit Guardians.

Obviously Lady Luck was laughing at her right now.

Rubbing her temples in the slightest, Lucille finally spoke up:

"We go to Besaid, and from there we learn of what is going on from the fayth."

Her voice slightly boomed a little, a bit of a shout. She couldn't help it; her patience was running out with these 'kids', and she was getting a headache. She didn't care much about 'reconning' or running around looking for clues. The fayth would, at the very least, be able to give some sort of clue as to what exactly is going on. Well, at the very least, they'd know more than they did. That and she wasn't about to let someone else run the group; she might be shy, but that didn't mean she couldn't make her own damn decisions.

Besides, what is a Summoner without Aeons?

A man interrupted her thoughts, catching her by surprise. He had asked if she was, well, the Lady Summoner. At first, she wasn't exactly sure how to reply, but what confused her a bit was the fact that people recognized her so quickly. Then again, the whole Bevelle and Gippal and the Sinspawn and...

"I am." Lucille replied, performing the once-forgotten formal bow of Yevon. She couldn't help but feel a little weird as he awed her. "I do understand, no need to worry."

Speak for yourself. Her mind countered, slightly wandering back to the group.

The airship that Aurora was in sped off fast as it was being chased. The other ships started firing at them.

"The other ships are firing at us. Is there guns on this ship?"

"Yes." The guard pressed a button and guns ejected from the sides of the airship.

"If you sit in the co-pilot seat you'll be able to control the guns."

Aurora moved to the seat. A helmet lowered down, which she put on her head, and handles raised used to control the guns. The helmet allowed for her to see the area around the ship in 360 degrees.

They were being attacked by 5 airships.

"Circle around. I gonna shoot them down."

The guard turned the airship around as fast as he could. They were heading towards the other ships. The other ships began to fire. The guard tried to dodge the bullets as best as he could. Aurora fired. She shot down two airships, making sure not to attack the one her brother was in. Suddenly her brother's voice could be heard in their ship.

"Sister, give up. We were told to use any means necessary to get the sphere back. The only reason you're ship hasnt been shot down is because I begged them not to kill you."

"Seems like they hacked into our intercom." said the guard. "They will kill us. Give in."

Aurora took off the helmet and stood up holding her blade to the guard's neck.

"Keep flying this ship. My brother will not kill me." she said with confidence.

"Are you.."

"DO IT!!!" she yelled as she pressed the blade tighter to his neck. "Get us out of here."

THe airship took off again being pursued. Her brother continued to talk to her.

"Sister, I beg you. Please give up."

Aurora got on the speaker.

"Little brother.....shut up. I wont allow anyone to stop me from bringing the "True" Eternal Calm."

"Sister please."

Just as he said that one of the airship fired. It hit Aurora's ship dead on. Alarms were going off, the ship was descending.

"We've been hit. We're going down. There's no way to save the ship." yelled the guard.

Aurora looked out the window. There was nothign but ocean below them. Ahead was an island but it was too far. She knew the airship wouldnt make it that far.

"I refuse to die." she said to herself as the airship crashed into the ocean.

Eve smiled. If nothing else, at least this one’s got cajones. Maybe there’s hope yet; maybe she will bring on the true Eternal Calm.

“If you, Lady Summoner, insist on running round Spira in endless circles to talk to little stone people simply to propagate some archaic art of aeon gathering that has had no effect whatsoever on Sin except to fuel its life cycle, then I condemn you.” She spoke with a tone less curt but just as piercing. “But if you wish to learn from them, then I apologize. I was mistaken: your mission and mine are one and the same.” Drawing her arms in concentric arcs, she made a clumsy attempt at the Yevon bow—it was her first endeavor at peace with the group, possibly one too many conversations overdue. Chaos had no place in a group whose trust in each other determined life or death. “We will, without doubt, encounter Sin along our path anyway, and we can learn of it, directly, from there.”

The sea breeze ruffled her hair as it sprayed the sapphire ocean with diamond wisps. Though this was a familiar sight to the brunette, it still kept its inherent beauty, and she had no intention of allowing Sin to plunder it.

“Besaid Island—” A passing child’s laughter interrupted her, but she resisted the temptation to sever his spine with a swift gunshot. “This is where High Summoner Yuna first embarked on her journey. If any part of Spira has the right to mourn and anger, this place is it.” Hand clutching her gun, she continued, “Be wary, Lucille, of the villagers. They may be more aggressive than the rest of Spira. After all, they have suffered one tremendous loss more than the rest of us, and they may not take lightly to the idea of another summoner attempting to replace Yuna.” Her thoughts strayed to the boy she slammed on the wall and, in an absent-minded mutter, admitted, “People have the oddest tendency of letting their emotions best them.”
