Both the bonuses read "Exploit Scarmiglione's Weakness to Fire Attacks." The second should read "Exploit Scarmiglione's Weakness to Holy Attacks."

Looks like a bad translation followed by a bad copy/paste!

In related news, Illusionary Cecil is OP as they come. Dr. Mog doesn't even have any good advice. "You just have to grin and bear it!" The official advice from the game is "Suck it up!"

I just picked this up a couple days ago and it's quite fun. I will be putting many hours into this.

Aerith event! This one is a collection-style event, wherein you collect Magicite to trade in at a shop for rewards, including Aerith for 3000 magicite shards (you can get well over 2000 for Mastering the Normal-level dungeon. Master the Easy for most of the rest).

This looks like a great chance to replace my highly vulnerable White Mage! The game seems to agree, because it keeps shooting holes in my White Mage.

Yeah, I have been wanting to get rid of the White Mage too, though I was hoping for Yuna

One downside is that Aerith doesn't have a group heal unless you risk Mythril on the weapon draw. :/ I don't really know if i want to risk Mythril to maybe get a weapon that, at best, will just help Aerith replace someone who's only fulfilling a support role (group healing) that comes up from time to time?

I personally don't think it's worth it, but Aerith is one of my least favorite white mage characters in the series. Though she totally replaced default White Mage for me. That entire KEEP WHITE MAGE ALIVE situation was not going over well.

Are a lot of people playing this? What party are you guys running? I've got Kain, Paladin Cecil, Cloud, Rydia, and Aerith right now.

I haven't been playing long enough to get a lot of the characters, but my main party is Cloud, Kain, the OC character (again, for lack of characters), Rydia, and once I level Aerith up enough she'll replace White Mage.
I just wish I hadn't missed out on Tifa and Sephiroth...

@rawpower: Nope. They haven't released the next set of dungeons yet. The Elite dungeons will net you some good loot and additional stamina, but there aren't any characters to be unlocked in them. At least, not yet.

@Rael: I think there's a chance the event could come back later, and you'll get another chance to unlock Tifa and Sephiroth. Maybe.

And Kazr is playing on the Japan server, in case anyone is concerned about not having all those characters available to them. It's because the Global server hasn't released them yet. Also, Kazr, super jelly of Balthier. SIGH.

FYI, the only returning event characters in the JP version so far are Sephiroth, Tidus, Lenna, Paladin Cecil, Dark Knight Cecil.

So in case it's the same for global, better make sure you get Aerith and all upcoming event characters.

Why would you do that? Do not waste your time with the "rare" relic drops unless you have extra mythril and want to gamble some away. NEVER do the 11 rare draws. DO NOT spend money on this game. This is freemium, they want you to get addicted and buy gems over and over and over again so you keep going for the rare relic draws. It's gambling and just like any casino, they don't want you to win.

mythril is obtained through completing missions in game, they're free. mythril is made to be used on the relic drops, and it makes sense to save up 50 to get the eleven for 10 deal.

After more than half a year, we finally have default Scan for all dungeons!!! So long for such an essential function.

@Cloud: At least you didn't spend money for it. As long as it was just mythril, it's not so bad... I mean, that is still some AWFUL luck, but... I agree, don't spend money, it's not remotely worth it. And I don't know if this will make you feel better or worse, but I think the 3 star gear rate is ~65%, and at that rate, you had ~1.5% chance of getting all 3 star gear. I hope you at least got some duplicates.

What does Scan do, Kazr?
