i was wondering if anyone knew where i could download a full (not trial version) of either a VOB to a wmp file, for movies

I've explained this thousands of times.. if you have a dvd burner which is fairly recent.. it comes with Nero. Most of the time, they will include 'Nero Vision eXpress' with it.. which is pretty decent for video editing..
The only reason I ever use NVE4 instead of Adobe Premiere, is because it can handle ANY video file thrown at it.. and can easily be used to convert *.vob (Video Overlay Buffer) files into *.mpeg2 or *.mp4 or *.avi files.. which can be imported into WMM. (And exported into *.wmv..)
That's pretty much the easiest way to convert stuff.. it also gives you tons of options. And you get better video editing options than WMM...
NVE4 comes packaged with Nero7, as far as I am aware.
