Re: Fate of A Hero

Day 36
Encounter

I've gotta get up, Akira thought, I can't stay here any longer.

Akira opened her eyes to the dark forest once more, the small sound of chirping buzzing in her ears. A cool breeze washed Akira's soft face awake.

-----

"How the hell should I know where the damn girl is?!" Axel asked in rage. Two days and she was still a no show. Xemnas's patience was wearing thin.

"Find her, Axel, or I'll dispose of you-permanently." Xemnas threatened. He dissapeared into the dark portal, and as if on cue, Roxas appeared beside him.

"Ah, not now Roxas-"

"I'm coming with you." Roxas said. Axel's face twisted in confusion.

"Roxas, I can't take you with me." Axel replied slowly. Roxas was intent.

"I know how to find her. I just have this hunch," He remarked, "I have a feeling she's been close all along."

A lightbulb went off in Axel's head.

"Twilight Town." He breathed, ignoring Roxas and leaving him behind. Roxas scowled.

"Not if I get to her first," He mumbled, running into a portal.

----

"Huh?"

A bright light broke through the trees, a familiar glow interesting Akira.

It's the sun, she thought.

She walked toward it, and found herself back in the daylight, blinking as her eyes adjusted. She gasped lightly as the image before her unfolded.

A giant mansion nestled in a timeless stretch of land, protected by a wall surrounding the entire lot. A charcoal gate coldly locked any existence out.

Akira, in awe, walked over to the gates, standing directly in between.

She ran her fingers through the cool titanium, when something caught her eye.

A large window to her left - A white curtain suddenly-moved?

She looked up, and saw a small figure. It was slender...a human body shape to it. As her vision cleared, the figure gained a white dress and sky blue eyes matched with Blonde(?) hair.

AKIRA!

Akira stepped back in shock. Those weren't her thoughts.

AKIRA! AXEL-

"Where've you been hiding all this time, sunshine?" A sadistic voice asked. Akira turned quickly, her eyes wide.

''Found ya," Axel smiled and winked, summoning his chakrams.

Re: Fate of A Hero

Day 36
Regret

"Ax..Axel," Akira wimpered, her eyes wide. Axel sighed.

"Aw babe...why'd you run? Was something wrong?" He asked sarcastically. Akira stepped back.

"My own-personal reasons," Akira answered quietly. The sound of her breathing staggered.

"I guess no one ever told you the rules, huh?" He said. His chakrams began to blaze. Akira took another step back.

"Rule number one," He shouted, "NEVER. TURN. ON THE ORGANIZATION."

Akira jumped in fear. Her breathing got quicker.

"Got it memorized?"

Axel threw his chakram at Akira, and she shut her eyes, putting her hands up defensively.

----

"DiZ, I saw her. She's here. And so is Axel. He's going to kill her!" Namine drilled quickly, running to the computer room. "DO SOMETHING!"

"Namine calm down!" DiZ shouted, putting his hands on her shoulder. Namine frowned.

"She will survive. I assure you that." He promised.

-----

"Oh!" Akira slammed against the gate, burns on her cloak. She slid down to the ground. She gritted her teeth as she held on to the ground.

"Why?" Akira whispered. Axel frowned as he grabbed his chakrams once more.

"Its my job. Nothing personal, sunshine."

Akira screamed. She summoned her keyblade and ran to him, but Axel was quicker, and with a flaming chakram, he ducked and hit her on her lower back. She yelped in pain and fell forward, falling. Her keyblade slipped from her hands, dissapearing.

She was breathing slower and louder now. Tears were on the verge of spilling out. The pain was unbearable.

Axel desummoned his chakrams, pained to see Akira hurt. He sighed once more. He had to finish this.

He knelt beside her, putting his best poker face on and picking her up by the hood. She yelped again.

"Got it memorized, gorgeous?" He asked in her ear. Akira nodded.

Axel threw her head back down and set a ring of fire around her. He stepped back to see Akira gasping for air, trying to hold herself up, slowly slipping into unconciousness. He frowned.

"I'm sorry," He muttered, "But it had to be done."

He dissapeared. Akira fell to the ground.

"R-Rox-" She mumbled, barely concious, "Help."

She blacked out. The fire dissapeared by the keyblade wielder's plea.

Silence.
