In January 2006, a drifter named Lorne Malvo passes through Bemidji, Minnesota and influences put-upon insurance salesman Lester Nygaard with his malice and violence. Meanwhile, rookie Deputy Molly Solverson and Gus Grimly team up together to solve a series of murders that they believe may be linked to Malvo and Nygaard.
On demand watching

Fargo airs on Tuesdays on FX @ 10PM EST. Currently planned for 1 season but there are talks of making it an anthology series like True Detective.

I think this is one of the best shows airing, currently. It has some comedy, some murder, some drama. If it continues on it's current path it will definitely match up to Breaking Bad in terms of quality. It's based off the 1996 film by the Coen brothers. The show opens with a disclaimer about a true story, nearly an exact copy of film's. It is not a true story, as far as I can tell.

It also has Bob Odenkirk featuring Porno Stache in it and as with all TV dramas these days, a bitchy wife.

I've only given the first episode a watch, but it was great.

Has that familiar tone from the Coen film, but is different and refreshing enough to enjoy without that knowledge.

Didn't know about the plans for it to be an anthology series, but love the idea.

Props to Thornton on being so unnerving.

I loved the movie, I give it another watch every now and then. I haven't heard anything about this show though, I'll have to look into it for sure.

Yeah, definitely check out the show. The pilot should be enough to hook you on it.

Latest episode was nifty. Loved the scene with Lorne murdering the fuck out of people as the camera just tracks his movement from the outside of the building.

That should have some options if you have any of those providers.

The first episode of the second season aired last night. It thought it was pretty great. What did everybody else think of the episode?

Even if you didn't watch last season (or the film, even), you should be watching this season. One episode in and the webs are a-weavin'.

The ninth episode aired tonight. There's only one episode left in the season. What does everybody think of the season and what will happen in the finale?

They better explain what the fuck happened at the end of e9

The fish scene is actually grounded in reality somewhat... fish can be pulled from a lake during severe storms like that.
What happened in E9 can't be explained unless it's a hallucination, but Ed, Peggy, and Bear also saw it. It's possible that it's just an urban legend at this point, and we're seeing a retelling.

"This whole thing started with Rye seeing the UFO and that very same UFO came back at the climax" type deal.

Hanzee's ridiculous ending will forever be a black stain on what was/is one of the best television seasons ever.
