“War........War never changes”
A Fallout Roleplay
By Solareon.

Prelude

The geopolitical situation that led to the outbreak of the long-feared global nuclear war was prompted primarily by the onset of a worldwide energy crisis when the supplies of fossil-fuels, particularly petroleum, finally began to run out by the year 2050. This energy crisis was in part the result of the ever-increasing amounts of fossil-fuel required to power the Fallout world's larger and less energy-efficient technologies when compared with those of our own world, due to their failure to develop miniaturized electronics and more advanced manufacturing materials.

The result of this energy crisis was an increasing scramble by all of the advanced, industrialized nations to secure the few remaining supplies of untapped petroleum around the world. Ultimately, a series of military conflicts driven by this hunger for natural resources consumed the planet. The European Commonwealth had reacted to the rapid raising of oil prices to unacceptably high levels by the Middle East's oil-rich states in 2052 by unleashing military action in that region of the world. This intervention ultimately resulted in the destruction of the Israeli city of Tel Aviv in December 2053 by a terrorist nuclear device and a limited nuclear exchange between the conflict's participants in 2054, the world's first since 1945.

As the United Nations tried with little success to keep the peace, many of that organization's member-states pulled out, and within two months of the outbreak of what was soon called the Resource Wars in 2052, the United Nations was disbanded. Next, following the breakdown of trade talks and the unilateral American exploitation of the world's last newly discovered reserves of crude oil, the Chinese invaded Alaska in 2066 in pursuit of that American state's remaining oil reserves.

The United States ultimately annexed Canada in 2076 to ensure Canadian support for its defense of the Alaskan front even as the American federal government acted aggressively against its own citizens to contain wartime rioting, anti-war civil disobedience and military desertion. The United States retaliated against the Chinese by launching its own costly invasion of the Chinese mainland in 2074 to reduce Chinese pressure on the Alaskan front. Despite initial costly setbacks, this strategy proved successful and American forces liberated the Alaskan city of Anchorage and forced the Chinese People's Liberation Army to retreat entirely from American soil in January 2077.

This victory was largely won due to the more advanced military technology developed by the United States during the conflict, especially the deployment of Powered Infantry Armor. Many smaller nations went bankrupt in the ensuing conflict as their economies collapsed due to the increasing shortage of fossil-fuels. The Resource Wars ended with the Great War in 2077.

The Great War

It is not known who launched the first nuclear weapon that precipitated the conflict. President Richardson would tell the Chosen One that China launched first, but he is hardly an objective source of information. Leftover log entries within Black Mountain Radio would also seem to pin the initial launches on China, with the United States retaliating in only a handful of minutes.

The nuclear exchange that characterized the Great War lasted for only a brief two hours, but was unbelievably destructive and reshaped the climate of the world even as it caused the fall of most of human civilization everywhere across the globe. More energy was released in the first moments of the Great War than all of the previous human conflicts in the history of the world combined. Entire mountain ranges were created as the ground buckled and moved under the strain of the cataclysmic pressure produced by numerous, concentrated atomic explosions. Rivers and oceans around the world were contaminated with the resulting radioactive fallout released by the relatively low-yield nuclear weapons used by all sides, and the climate changed horrifically. All the regions of the Earth suffered from a single, permanent season once the initial dust blasted into the atmosphere by the nuclear explosions had settled - a scorching, radioactive desert summer.

Re: Fallout: Eternal War

Aftermath
Many American citizens did not heed the air raid sirens on October 23, 2077, believing them to be signaling just another drill. The Vaults sealed in their inhabitants as the Earth burned in atomic fire. A few citizens took shelter where they could: sewers, and subway stations, drainage centers, Pulowski preservation shelters, or in the case of the Keller Family, the National Guard Depot. However, without a very strong outer shield of dense metal or rock to defend them from both the heat and kinetic shock wave of the nuclear blasts , few civilians survived the full-out nuclear exchange. Some who were exposed to high levels of radiation became ghouls, and some of these ghouls, in turn, formed their own communities. Those who survived the nuclear exchange would form the basis for the brutal civilization that existed for the next 20 years, until the first Vaults re-opened.

Despite the global destruction caused by the war, many areas remained habitable, with low and tolerable levels of radioactive fallout. The surviving humans were in some parts of the Earth able to continue living in the ruins of the per-War civilization, establishing new communities and even small cities.

Around a week after the initial nuclear explosions, rain started to fall; however, none of it was drinkable. The rain was black; tainted with soot, ash, radioactive elements produced by the nuclear explosions and various other contaminants produced by nuclear weapons. This rain marked the start of the terrible fallout that marked the true, permanent destruction caused by the Great War. The rain lasted four long days, killing thousands of species that had survived the initial destruction of the bombs, be they animal, plant or micro-organisms. Those few living things, human, animal or plant, that survived after the rain ended were left to live in the now barren wasteland that had spread across the Earth, where nearly all per-War plant life had died either in the initial explosions or from the intense radiation produced by the fallout.

Some major global cities were not completely destroyed by the explosions because of their relatively low explosive yields, and cities such as Washington, D.C. even managed to maintain intact buildings despite relatively close detonations. However, most city streets across the post-nuclear United States were and continue to be blocked with rubble from collapsing edifices. In the ruins of Washington, D.C., most of the city's Metro system of subways remained intact. Though many Metro tunnels were blocked by collapsed masonry caused by the shock of the atomic explosions, the Metro's tunnel network remains the easiest, if not the only, way to move around the D.C. ruins.

Thanks to the efforts of Robert House, most of the city of Las Vegas, Nevada and the Hoover Dam remained intact, and many buildings still have electricity as of 2281. In the per-War era, about 20 years before the Great War, House predicted when the bombs would fall. In the meantime he installed defenses such as laser turrets on the roof of the Lucky 38 Casino, which destroyed most of the incoming Chinese ballistic missiles before they hit Las Vegas. Had his Platinum chip been delivered only a day earlier, an even greater area of the Mojave Wasteland could have been spared the terrible destruction. In time, the remains of Las Vegas came to be known as New Vegas.

The setting.

The Empire Wasteland

Once known as New York, the lost Empire wasteland is the only name anyone can remember anymore...... After the bombs fell, the state had been changed forever, many areas had been altered, like the Catskill region, Delaware, and of course New York City itself. The city ocean around New york city had decreased horrifically, till it had become a wasteland, that connects all of the city together, while the water had separated it many, many moons ago.

There is some saving grace, unlike the Capital Wasteland, The Empire state was not hit as hard as Washington, yet it did not fair as lucky as Nevada. There are many parts of this once beautiful land that has been torn, and altered by all of the destruction, that the bombs had caused so long ago.

Some areas are ruled by Ghouls, others supermtants, then there is the time, when a fraction is met that while non mutated, like the other creatures of the wasteland, are just as, if not more dangerous than the earlier. Rules for living are simple here, if you wrong someone prepare to pay with your life. The capital wasteland showed many things to the Empire, and if there was anything, it was kill or be killed. The only hope to save this land from itself, are the secrets from the old world, and the power from the new.

Locations

The Capital District: This area is controlled by The Brotherhood of Steel, at one point it was just small bunkers of knights and paladins, but as of now, it has become a full scale location for them. This region is filled with the B.O.S., from their equipment, to the weapons, machines, many bunkers and bases. With their man power, it wouldn't be a far stretch to say they could take over Empire city, but it would take a heavy toll of the lives of their members, between the talon company, Wastelanders, Regulators, and the hostile wild life, it'd be a fools run. To the Brotherhood, the city is just a doomed area, fighting for scraps. The B.O.S. Has been known to send portals out to find old world technologically, or at least trade supplies with the regulators or a settlement out in the city. The only ways into the region, is protected by many giant robots, many of them modeled off the power house robot “Liberty Prime” Yet the power it would take to move these robots would leave the brotherhood out of their main protection and power sours. So they stand at the gates, guarding it from intruders and outsides.

The Catskill Mountains: The Enclave occupy this area, their numbers rival the brotherhood of steel, as do their technologically. The Enclave choose the mountains as a way seclusion. Hiding from the outside world, and only leaving when they have missions, or on portals outside of the Catskills. The mountains, after years of alterations, has been forever changed by the Enclave and the great war. Many of it's areas are either heavy coated in radiation, or the Enclave. To gain access to this region without being any Enclave civilian rights is impossible, every entrance possible by foot is guarded by camps, upon camps of soldiers, and the air is patrolled by Verterbrids, if you see these monster machines in the sky, pray you either have a big gun, or you're a good shot.

Empire City

The once proud New York City is now dyeing a slow death, the sewers are filled with super mutants, and ghouls, and many other horrors. The city is spread out between five boroughs, each one has their own secrets, people, and monsters hidden away deep inside them.

The Subway: (Will add more as time goes on)

The Sewers: (Will add more)

Settlements: (Much to add!!!!)

(I'm not adding much of the locations because I want them to be discovered in time, but I will add some as a starting point before the RP starts.)

The Factions

Brotherhood of Steel

165px-BoS_logo.png

The Brotherhood is mostly composed of the descendants of military officers, soldiers, and scientists, but aside from some outsiders among their ranks, the Brotherhood is as close to pure-strain humanity (prime normals) that may be found outside of a Vault or the Enclave.

The ranks of the Brotherhood of Steel are generally recognized as being composed of the best and the brightest remaining to humanity, which means the BoS is a relatively small organization, at least compared to the New California Republic. They make up for this with their frightening arsenal of pre-and-post-Great War technology: they have laser weapons, power armor, surgical cybernetic enhancements, combat implants, and Brotherhood Paladins have the ability to erase an entire town from the map without a scratch. The vast majority of BoS members are born into the Brotherhood - they very rarely accept outsiders into their ranks. While not an official policy, many members believe that in order to survive, all members are obligated to procreate. This results in a lack of tolerance for same-sex relationships, at least when the proponents of the aforementioned stance are concerned. Those born in the Brotherhood that want to be neither Scribes, Knights nor Paladins are free to leave - the Brotherhood does not believe in forcing anyone to serve them against their will. Although, members who decide to leave the Brotherhood will face the punishment of death for sharing any medical or scientific knowledge they have acquired with any outside faction.

While they have great reverence for technology, most of the Brotherhood members have little regard for non-technical fields of knowledge (and even for non-combat-related technology). Even most of the Scribes do not care about history, and some Brotherhood of Steel Initiates do not even know who Roger Maxson, the founder of the Brotherhood, was.[/COLOR]

The Enclave:

200px-Enclave_Symbol_%28Fallout_3%29.png

The Enclave is a secretive military organization who are believed to have descended directly from members of the per-War United States government, and military industrial complex, claiming to be the legal continuous of the state, and styling themselves as such. The Enclave is comprised mostly of descendants of government officials and military elite, and others with ties to powerful corporations who retreated to a Poseidon Energy oil rig when the Great War started. Due to their narrow views and snobbish upbringing, the average Enclave citizen considers mainlanders to be "mutants", fit only for eradication. This view came to be somewhat out-of-date by the time of John Henry Eden's presidency

The Enclave takes pride in being the last bastion of pure, unmutated humanity, aside from the unopened Vaults, and being the most technologically advanced faction in the wasteland. Because of the effects of radiation and the Forced Evolutionary Virus on the people of the Wasteland, members of the Enclave generally do not consider them to be human any more, even if they look no less human than they do. They, as well as other mutated creatures, like super mutants and ghouls, are considered to be sub-humans that are at best to be used as slaves, and at worst eradicated so that "true humanity" could take their place as the "real" nation of America.
While the Enclave and its armed forces claim to be the official continuation of the per-War United States government and the U.S. Army, the extent to which the Enclave truly represents the Government is a matter of debate.

Talon Company

250px-Fallout_3_Talon_Company_Banner.png

Talon Company*is a mercenary organization, for these men and woman, no job is to tough, or out of the question, Assassins, kidnappers, almost anything under the sun they can be hired to do. Though unlike their brothers and sisters in the capital wasteland, The members of the Empire state Talon Company at least has some standers they won't cross. Killing children or rape is strictly forbidden. Rape because these mercenaries ain't no kupoing Raider scum, they don't even want to be compared, and child killing, is because the commander would rather the child be taken and trained as a merc, than just killed for laughs.

The leader of the Talon Company, is known to always be a deadly mercenary, in fact, the only way to take control of the Talon company is to kill the last leader in battle. The talons don't work with any outside factions, feeling the Brotherhood to be too much of knight Templar, the raiders being too bat shit insane, and the enclave to be fascist. The Regulators and Talon Company share a bitter, long drawn out blood feud, the older members try to stay away from the feud, feeling it a waste of supplies and time, and the younger stay out for fear of death, but at times are dragged into the brutal fray of battle just for wearing the armor. Most of the middle management members of both sides take part in the war between the two fractions. For most their a way of life is to only get invoked if theirs a caps in it for them, without caps, their motto is just to leave them on their own.

The Regulators:

Lawbringer.png

A group of vigilantes who are dedicated to punishing the wicked, at their best you could call some heroes, at their worst their just well intentioned extremest. The Regulators while the most noble out of the other fractions, are very selective with who is apart of their league, mostly to avoid any assassin attempts. Their job is to try their best to keep order, going places the Brotherhood cannot go, where the enclave refuse to go, and where the Talon company just doesn't care to go. The members of this fraction have no grand past, many of them are just people who haven taken it upon themselves to make the wasteland a better place, but as well known, a fact like that puts them on the target for many hit lists.

The Talon company is at odds with them for many reasons, one being the fact that many of their contracts are taken away because of their employer being killed by a regulators, or their employer hiring some of them to kill a Regulator. This act alone of spilled blood, and loss of caps have created a slow, yet bitter was between the two of them. The Enclave feels them as traitors like all fractions, but won't bother with them. Feeling them to just be worthless and going against the real America's old ways. The brotherhood is the only fraction to seem to be on good terms, the Regulators with donate Technologically they find to the brotherhood, while they themselves will donate supplies when needed/ Out of all the fractions they are the most understaffed, and in the end their numbers, are their greatest weakness. Compared to the more deadly Talons or the more militate fractions.

Raiders

240px-Fo1_Raiders_Ending.jpg

Raiders are any group of wastelanders who pillage, plunder, murder, or otherwise ruin the day of anyone unfortunate enough to not be one of them. If there were still laws, they'd be outlaws. Raiders tend to organize into loose confederations of gangs in the post-apocalyptic wasteland and are a constant problem. Raiders typically prey upon travelers and very small towns, leaving more populous or larger areas alone. They have no real allies, and even among their own ranks its a danger to even be around one. Every fraction inside the empire wasteland has a their own problems with a raider. Raiders have no alliances with other factions and will attack everyone but other raiders or slavers. They appear to be quite cruel, as places they inhabit are usually filled with the mutilated bodies of other raiders and wastelanders, implying that they torture captured enemies and occasionally their own.

Re: Fallout: Eternal War

Story

The Empire state, once in the past it had been known as the country's most beautiful locations to live, thrive, and prosper. After the bombs dropped, any hope of that was burned away with the destruction. Now all that’s left is wastelanders trying to survive off a world that had left them all behind. The Empire wasteland is fighting for it's own survival, the humans are fighting a civil war. One flag of the old world, and the other of the new world. It had been started by a chosen one many years ago, and it was almost ended by a lone wanderer, now it all comes to a end, Enclave vs. The Brotherhood of steel. As their war continues, Gouls, mutants, death claws and all other kinds of creatures now run wild through out the state of new york. All the while, there is a hidden secret that can turn the tides of everything, whoever can get a hold of it can shape this once proud state into whatever vision they seem fit to do.

Somewhere in New york state Is a collection of G.E.C.K.S. Devices that if used in the right hands can change a once barren land, into how it was before the bombs dropped. There is also a water purifier, a machine that will turn all the water of New york clean and healthy for all. These machines though are not like the ones used in the capital wasteland or Arroyo. These machines were actually built strong enough to restore an entire state, from supplying clean water, and fixing the land. When each fraction heard about these miracle machines, the race to gain control of them had begun. Whoever gains control of them, will gain control of the wasteland, for better or worse. Though shadows of the past don't just fade, nor from the old world, or the decisions of new.

The choice to save, rule, or destroy, all these options are coming into play, and if the past has taught us anything it could only take one person, to change the entire outcome of everything. There will always be a battle, the tale of humanity will never come to a close, for the struggle of survival is a war without end, fighting will continue, blood will be spilled, and people will live and die, just as they did in the old world, because war......war never changes.

Your Role in the fractions.

Brotherhood of Steel: For a better world, you will do what has to be done, to protect the people of the waste from them selves, no matter the cost. The B.O.S. Goal is for technologically, and technologically only, that is there main goal in the Empire Wasteland. Helping the people is their second mission, while they do help at times, technologically will always be their main goal when it comes into the wasteland. The members of the B.O.S. Are trying to help the world, by never letting the average people of the waste, or anyone for that matter, get their hands on advanced technologically that could harm others. The only way to join the brotherhood of Steel is to be born into it, at times of extreme crisis, their has been exceptions made, but these events are very scarce. The Enclave is their mortal enemy, rules for the B.O.S. Is to kill any and all Enclave soldiers they see. Talon Company while not as hostile feelings as with the Enclave, it is a known fact that there is bad blood between the two fractions. Raiders, kill on sight, kill if spare time, kill, the only thing that B.O.S. And all other fractions agree upon. The Regulators and B.O.S. Have a shared respect for the other, helping the other out when the time arises, though they feel as if the other fraction missions are shadowed in judgment. Wastelanders in general, while not as hated like the Enclave look at them, the brotherhood feels that they are better than them, but it won't stop them from helping the local people out if they can.

Enclave: The last remnants of the old world, soldiers of the lost country America, the men and woman of The Enclave feel that this is the last mission given to them to save the world, they'll kill anyone who gets in their way. The mission is to find any and all old world technologically and use it to wipe out to gain power over the other fractions. These are not the extremist from the capital wasteland, they are whats left of the old world, and feel that the other fractions are just hurting more than helping. The brotherhood of steel, are mortal enemies since as long as the Enclave can remember, and if seen, they are to be killed on sight, nothing less. Talon Company, the Enclave has a rocky relationships at best with them, mostly because the higher ups at the Enclave hate the fact they even exist, but that doesn't stop from lower ranking soldiers from dealing with them. Raiders, kill em all, let god sort them out. Wastelanders, wastes of time, just violent or pathetic people that are too week to survive on their own.

Talon Company: Mercenaries for hire, working for any fraction, any price, and almost any job. These men and woman are born survivors, having only loyalty to the caps they can make, and their own life. The motto for living with these mercenaries is only the strong survive, and if you can't carry your own weight than you are on your own. Talon company is funded by an outside source, though barley any even know who that source is, but while in the Empire Wasteland, they scavenge anything they can find. There is no real relationship between Talon Company and the other fractions, just what can be done for Talon Company. The Brotherhood of Steel, Enclave, and Regulators are all on the same playing field to them, each of them have their own personal goals, but to them but they have been known to be hired by the low ranking Enclave for missions that most don't won't to complete, They have also known to loot the corpses of both Enclave and brotherhood. Regulators on the other hand are hated by most of the lower levels of Talon Company, a long blood feud started many, many years. Wastelanders on the other-hand are never really bothered by them, but they will never put their necks out on the line to save them, yet have also been known to help out if the price is right. Raiders? Target practice.

Regulators: Vigilantes of the wasteland, the regulators fight for the people of the Wasteland, supermtants, ghouls, and whatever else could hurt the people of the waste. The Regulators believe that the old world is long since gone, America is dead, the Enclave doesn't care about the people of the waste, the Brotherhood doesn't have the main mission to save the people, Talon Company are only petty mercenaries who care about caps more than anything else, and Raiders are just scum who take whatever they want. This mission has coasted them many lives, yet that never stops them. The members of the regulators are people from all over, some even from fractions they have deserted, the past doesn't matter with them, only what can be done. The Brotherhood of Steel and Regulators have a long history of helping and working with each other if possible, and in this post-apocalyptic wasteland, they do know how important it is to have allies. The Enclave, on the other has been known to attack the Regulators at times, mostly because of their relationship with the Brotherhood of Steel. Raiders, are often on the targets of many Regulator missions, the mission being their death, all Regulators feel that they are just monsters in the wasteland and should be killed. The wastelanders are the Regulators mission in life, feeling that the more they can help the wasteland, the closer the new world can be better.

Raiders: Criminals by post-apocalyptic standers, at best they are just outlaws who steel food, rob other wastelanders, and are just rude or apathetic people, at worst they are rapist, murdering, lunatic drug addicts. The line between sanity and madness is almost impossible to see, many of them have no real past. They are people who have been born outside settlements, or kicked out for crimes committed. In all honesty there is no real way to tell where these people come from, all there is to know that these are the worst of the worst. Hated by the Enclave, Brotherhood of Steel, Regulators and at times Talon Company, the raiders are loners in the end of the world, but their survivors till the end.

Wastelanders: They are people of the wasteland, if you couldn't tell by the name, born and raised into settlements, these people are part of no fraction, and just try to live their life day by day in this horrifically altered world. While they do not have any military training, or even brutal survival skills like raiders, these people have survived in a horrible wasteland, and have haven't gone completely insane.

Is there going to be a template for Wastlelanders? If not, I might apply to be a Regulator or Raider.

If you are confirming that this character is definitely a wastelander then what do you put? Like for the BoS, it is "Steel be with you." Also you didn't put a spoiler thing around the template for thr Wastelander.

Yeah sorry about that, I'm actually running on no sleep.....anyway I'll fix that detail, and yes a wastelander is a character type now. You would put "Wasteland is nothing but a Wasteland."

Re: Fallout: Eternal War

“In caps we trust.”

Name: Skylar Owens

Nickname: Skye

Age: 21

Role: Skye is within the higher ranks of Talon Company and, aside from assassinations, she is entrusted with ensuring the faction runs as smoothly as possible under her limited spectrum of control.

Appearance:
Spoiler Spoiler Show

Skylar's waist length hair frames her round face in red waves and enhances the bright blue of her sharp eyes. Below her pointed nose, her upper lip, when more closely examined, is slightly thinner than the bottom that creates a small gap between the two. She has an athletic build and her skin is paler than others except for the pink rises from healed injuries.

She stands at 5'4 and when in casual attire, Skye can be found in worn out jeans, torn tank tops and a pair of combat boots as she prefers to spend her caps on things more important to her survival.

Personality: Skye can be described as cold, distant and determined. As an assassin, she remains impartial to her feelings and that of others. To Skye, it's a profession where emotions become a liability more so than the kill or be killed world they live in. There are few things Skye is not willing to do, no matter the amount of caps you throw at her.

Apart from her duties to the Talon Company, Skye keeps to herself believing it is the best way to remain alive. As in her nature to be self-assertive and controlling in public; she is riddled with flaws. When alone in her quarters her vulnerabilities become more apparent but her stubbornness refuses to acknowledge any weakness within herself.

She is dedicated to the Talon Company, but could care less for the people that comprise it. Skye is willing to go to whatever lengths necessary to complete her mission and to collect the caps owed to her. Due to her rough childhood, Skye relies on herself for her survival and has built a tolerance to violence.

Biography: Skye was born into the Talon Company and has spent her twenty-one years serving them and rising through the ranks as her father had done before her. Raised in an atmosphere such as the Talon Company forced Skye to grow up a lot faster than many other children; this resulted in her first solo mission at the age of thirteen.

With the death of her mother at her birth, and her father's ten years later, Skye has been on her own for the majority of her life. Her father blamed her for his wife's death and soon drank his way to his grave, but not without leaving Skye with a permanent reminder of his disappointment and hatred through the scars that riddle her body.

Through her years, Skye has earned a lot of respect, and in return a lot of fear, for all that she has done for the faction. Her ranks were achieved through hard work and dedication, and although she would not admit it to anyone, she wanted desperately to out-rank her father in an effort to prove him wrong.

Skye has yet to meet the outside source that currently funds the Talon Company faction, at least to her knowledge, but has been quite eager to since the start of her career in the mercenary business.

Family: The only family known to Skye was her mother (deceased) and her father (deceased).

Quest: First and foremost; survival. After all, a woman's got to eat, right?
Secondly; her duties to the Talon Company and to the missions she has been hired to complete.

Karma: Neutral. Skye isn't a stranger to evil, but draws the line on some things.

Weapons: Bull Whip, two Jericho 941's and a black katanna.

Equipment: Skye isn't fussed about her clothing; her jeans and tank tops have taken her far. She will occasionally wear a hood, or some other item to cover her face if it's needed. She has a belt around her waist with her gun holsters, ammo and bull whip. Her katana is sheathed on her back and anything else she keeps at home.

Skills: Due to her light weight and training; Skye is very agile. She is able to use the environment around her to her advantage and although her sword skills could use some work, she is an expert shot. Skye is also not opposed to a little seduction here and there.

Template for Regulators

{Protect the Wasteland}

Name: Thomas Howlett

Role: Bounty Hunter

Age: 21

Service: One year.

Appearance:

Spoiler Spoiler Show

Thomas has a normal wasteland body, at least a normal body of a Wastelander who fights for their life on a daily basis, than again, everyone does that these days. His body while not overly muscle filled, is toned from years of battle, though with his hardened body comes countless scars, a Deathclaw slash mark on his back, a light thin scar over his left eye, when he was young he had gotten an infection in his left eye, and it had to be taken out, but thanks to vault technologically, he had been outfitted with a robotic eye. His natural one being Blue, and his fake one being a deep amber. Thomas's height is 6 foot 1, his weight while never really known, it's safe to assume that the youth is underweight and doesn't eat well, than again no one does.

His cheeks being hallow from a few too many skipped meals, Thomas has the look of most people out in the waste who are living harder than they should, and since he's apart of regulators, his body is already low and sleep from the devoting much of his time to the people of the waste. His hair is messy locks of brown hair, some of the bangs falling beneath his eyes, but Thomas has been known to cut his hair into short spikes when he knows he'll be away from the regulators for a long period of time. While he tries to shave when he can, Thomas is has light stubble growing on his face, than his face is often covers by dirt and grime more, and as his hair is also greasy, but under all the effects from the wasteland is a fairly handsome or at least decent looking young man, but in the waste your looks don't matter, just how long you can survive.

Personality: It's hard to tell what goes on his Thomas's head, if theres one thing he does well, it's keeping secrets. Thomas never talks about his past, or even his plans for the future, some actually think it's because he has no plans for the future, many think he'll just blow his own brains out one day. If there is one thing he's good at though its killing, it seems that his time in the wasteland taught him the best lesson of kill or be killed, and if his life is threatened he'll take the rill route over talking.

Though no one could call Thomas stupid, the young man had always displayed a good intelagence and is always seen with his nose in a book when not on missions, honestly he'd be called a nerd if it wasn't for his ability to kill. There is almsot a detactment from Thomas when it comes to everything. Theres a mask we all wear, but for Thomas his mask is always on, feeling that even his comrades are more of a burden than a help. Thomas is known to the people of the wasteland, and does help his friends in the Regulators whenever he can, nevertheless he seems to have an unatrual hatred for the Brotherhood of Steel, never trusting any knight, paladin, or scribe.

The regulators are his alilies, the Brotherhood of steel hold his contempt, the Enclave his hatred, Talon company his respect for their survival skills, yet hatred for their moral standing. Raiders are just target practice to him, and wastelanders are his job to protect, whether he wants to or not he always ends up doing something for them in someway.

Thomas Howlett is a loner, that much is known, his missions are done alone, he mostly eats alone, and goes days without seeing anyone from the Regulators. As time goes on, the young man is slowly being eaten by the wasteland. Sleeping less, and wanderering more, there's talk that he will leave the regulators one day.....maybe he'll just leave the empire wasteland.

Biography: Thomas father was born in the vault, his mother, in the vault, yet in the end he himself would end up in the wasteland. Growing up inside a vault was never interesting, nothing could be interesting when your entire life is spent with everything being the same, yet none of this bothered the youth, he was content, he was safe from the outside word. Vault 91, that's where he had been born, everyone in this vault was taught to be thankful the better life they had then the outside world, yet his father never was...or at least Thomas never thought he was.

As far back as he could guess, Thomas's father was always a distant man, a soul that even when surround by loved, always felt that war was always at his doorstep. Thomas never knew why, both his parents were born and raised in the vault, no one had ever really seen battle.

When he was 10, he had received his first pip-boy, that same day his mother left. His father never said why, and he knew deep down it pained his father just as much, maybe even more than it did him.

At the age of 17 he leaves the vault, no words to the father that raised him, no words to the people who he had grown up with, all he leaves behind is a holotape, and nothing more. Armed with nothing but a B.B. gun, combat knife, and a 36 caliber pistol, the young Vault dweller leaves for the wasteland.

Three years later, Thomas is now part of the Regulators, he joined for many reasons, the main one being, or at least the one he tells his fellow members, is that he felt he needed to help the wasteland, to make sure the people can thrive again..... whether or not that's his true intentions is another story......

Family: Thomas never talks about his family. Not even to why he never talks about them.

Quest: Many, but the main quest he has is helping the regulators find a way to save the wasteland, anything else takes a backseat.

Karma: Good. (He's not a messiah, but he'll be damned if the wasteland will die on his watch.)

Weapons:

Bulls-eye: A hunting rifle, and Thomas's weapon of choice, nothing say "Wake up" To a supermutan than a .32 caliber round straight in the eye.
Blackhawk: A magnum gun. His back up weapon, mostly known for fire a shot that can take your head clean off.
Machete: A mele weapon.
combat Knight:
Twin 10mm Pistols.
50 caliber assault rife.
Sawed-off shotgun

Equipment:

Customized Regulator Duster: The Duster outfit consists of a black undershirt and a pair of gray canvas pants underneath a long, black overcoat, leather fingerless gloves, and combat boots. The boots are outfited with knives in each boot, each leg holds a holster, and the undershirt is also fitted with holsters. He has also added parts of combat armor to the torso, and shoulders, giving him an extra defense in fire fights. Thomas will also wear a black faded bandanna to keep his hair out of his eyes. Thomas had been given this outfit when he joined the regulators. Most of the over coat now is torn, and Thomas has turned it into more of cowl with a hood.

B.O.S. Power Armor: The power armor of a Palidin of the brotherhood of steel, yet odley enough the color of the armor is painted black and red, insted of the normal blue and steel color. He had found the armor on a dead B.O.S. many years ago, though the palidin had been blow apart and much of the armor damged, now Thomas spends some free time trying to fix it up.

Radiation suit: A simple Radiation suit Thomas uses from getting his rad numbers too fight in missions around Radiation.

Vault 96 jumpsuit: One of the extra jumpsuits Thomas had taken with him on his journey out the vault.

Armored Vault 96 jumpsuit: A modified jumpsuit Thomas fixed up, modified to better protect its owner in combat. It's design is a Vault jumpsuit with several plates, most from leather armor, attached to provide additional protection.

Gas Mask: Sometimes to supply clean air in horrible unbreakable zones, other times its more of the look.

Dog tags: A mysterious pair of Dog tags that Thomas has worn since he was a child, when asked though who's they are, Thomas will never answer, just ass a cold comment on how people mind their own business.

Fat Man: A mini nuke weapon, though Thomas never uses it, or brings it into combat, ammo for this weapon is rare to find, and Thomas himself had even said he'd rather save it for a rainy day than some raider scum.

Skills:

Guns: Files, handguns, Pistols, these are the weapons that Thomas is slowly becoming an expert about, and are also his main weapons to use in combat. Feeling that larger weapons such as rocket launchers, fat mans or plasma pistols or laser rifles are more of a waste, from repairs, or ammo, both causes make having those guns a liability.

Survival: An almost primal example but Thomas ability to survive has been compared to a raider, having been shoot, stabbed, and have many bones broken, Thomas just keeps pushing through the pain, he says because of a fear of death, saying to die in a wasteland is no way a human should die.

Repair: His love of weapons, has made the young man in almost an expert in repairing his own weapons, choosing his own skills over others, Thomas had outfitted many weapons to have effects that normally would of never been able to have from their original design.

Notes:

Thomas Doesn't ever talk about his time in the vault.
His birthday is march 22th, though birthdays don't matter anymore.
Thomas owns a boy dog named Reggie. He found the poor pup starving his first week out in the wasteland, it's been his friend ever since.
He is an Atheist.
Thomas at times doesn't sleep for days, so his eyes have a sunken look to them at times.
A Jet addict in the past.
Thomas has horrific nightmares, which sometimes give him insomnia for days.

Great to see it's up now. ^^ Wasn't entirely sure what to place down for the last two parts of the template, but I might think of something later today. If anything is wrong with the temp, just let me know. ^_^

"My country right or wrong.”

Name: Nomis ‘Alexander’ Clacverk. “Title of, President Alexander.”

Role: Presidential duties and Chief Robotics Expert

Age: 38

Rank: President

Appearance: Standing around average in height at about 5’6/’7, Nomis has a rather thin build, rather normal for one who has not had the hardships of trying to survive out in the Wastes.

His black hair, with the faintest hint of white streaks, is kept relatively short and slicked back, which seems to show the greater contrast in colour when compared with his skin. While his hands cannot be seen normally, due to the wearing of black leather gloves, his face is of a rather pale; one could even say sickly, white.

His eyes however are his most noticeable feature. Though he wears a pair of metal framed glasses, shaded to keep the hard glare of light off him, there have been some who have received the rare moment of seeing the bright blue irises that hide behind them.

For a man his age, there would be some who could say he looks quite dashing, like those Gentlemen of almost legendary status from a century long before the Great War.

Personality: Being rather infectious, Clacverk’s personality has a habit of spreading to those he speaks to. Whether it’s instilling a sense of patriotic pride, or riling up one’s anger, this man seems to have a gift with words. Through all his talks and speeches, he continually brings up how not only the great land that everyone lives in can be restored, united even under one body of power, but that same goal can be used to help the rest of the world.

To that end the Enclave, due to their President, have become to the various societies and towns that have sprung up through the wastes, a sort of protecting government body. Seeing their own leader out amongst the people, protecting them from the vicious entities that exist everywhere, it has caused many an individual to turn to the goals that the Enclave want to protect and achieve. His attitude to those he speaks to directly, is always done in the tone of a regal gentleman.

Biography: Nothing certain is known about President Alexander’s past, except by the few snippets of information he has said about it during his Addresses to the people. To that end, people have managed to piece them together in order to keep a logical record. At the time before the Great War, many Vaults were commissioned to save thousands of lives all across the country. However at the time, separate from these public Vaults, the then United States Government managed to construct their own secure bunkers, in order to survive the coming apocalypse.

One such Vault, codenamed Epsilon, safe guarded many of the Governments brilliant minds, as well as their families and others necessary to America. When the Great war happened, all contact was lost to the outside world. Even direct monitoring of the Vault-Tec Vaults were severed, while contact between the Government’s own Vaults were strained at best.

Eventually however, Vault Epsilon opened after many years, and from it hundreds left in order to see what remained of the land that was once their ancestors’ country. One of these happened to be President Alexander himself. As the group marched onwards, leaving those who remained to stay within Epsilon behind, they travelled towards what was once New York City, and from there the Catskill Mountains.

A beacon of sorts was soon broadcasted from within the Mountains themselves, and with it, many more hundreds from many more of the Vaults like Epsilon poured out and towards the looming scarred mountain range. After a few years, people have stopped marching towards the mountain and whatever the signal’s purpose led them to, and now, the Enclave are the only ones who leave.

It is said after those who would become the Enclave finally settled within their new home in the mountains, that Alexander slowly rose through the ranks as a robotic engineer, until finally earning the title of President.

Family: No known family. However most likely deceased.

Quest: The complete and total unification of the Untied States of America, whatever the cost may be. However an almost equal importance, is the seizure of all robotics dating back to the Great War and beyond.

Karma: Neutral, however due to his campaign of unification, some may consider him to be Evil.

Weapons:

An Enclave modified pair of long barrelled, double-action Ranger Revolvers.

A Pre-War repaired sword cane.

Equipment:

Clothes/Appearance: Though he chooses to travel out within the Wastes to meet the people, everything that President Alexander wears appears quite normal. A striped black suit, complete with tie, shirt and shoes, can be seen underneath the long dark brown trench coat he wears over it. Besides this normal state of attire, the President has chosen to wear possibly the oddest and most likely rarest piece of clothing within the Wastes, a perfectly intact black tall top hat.

Wearing it whenever he gives his numerous speeches, the only time he will remove it is when he personally speaks to someone, finding it always rude to wear a hat in such a situation. A pair of metal rimmed glasses stay proudly on his face, covering his eyes from any bright reflections, while the black leather gloves he wears are almost always seen clutching the silver head of the long dark walking cane.

Security: Though a squad of highly trained Enclave act as his own personal Secret Service, the President is always surrounded by a group of robotic individuals he has personally repaired since starting his presidency.

Various models of the Mister Gutsy line of Robotics act as a sort of front line defence for the President, able to take out sniping individuals with the help of the numerous Eyebots that fly around, in order to keep constant surveillance.

Sentry Bots act as the firepower on those who take it upon themselves to wish harm on the President directly.

The Securitron’s attend mostly for the President’s speeches, acting as crowd controllers in case of rioting. Their own personal defences however are used to back up those of the Mister Gutsy and Sentry Bot lines if needed.

Skills:

Gun and Blade: With use of only his revolvers and hidden sword, the President is known to have a rather terrifying accuracy in both aspects. Able to hit nearly any target from long range with the pistols, in close-quarters he can surgically pierce and cut any part of the body with the sharp steel blade.

Words: As powerful as any weapon, President Alexander’s words can cause an army to rise from a crowd of ordinary people if needed. Nearly anything is possible once the man begins to speak, to the point even people could give up priceless information, their property, their lives, even turn on one another.

Robotics Expert: Having studied hundreds of documents from the old world, he has now become somewhat of an expert in everything relating to intelligent machines. While that relates to more repairing, the President has managed to create and modify the more common lifeless robotic species of the Wastes, into something much more relatable to, alive.

Death Letter: (Your Enclave Soldier, say goodbye to your brothers in arms.)

Notes: (Whatever else ya wanna add.)

Very good, I'm impressed like always, I like it how ya really didn't make ya character evil, in this Fallout rp, no faction can actually just be evil by having the faction name. The death letter was just something I added, its purpose is a finally letter kept on file in case of ya demise, something like last words or a final speech, like how people write a will. Notes were anything else, like habits, or really anything ya wanted to add that my template couldn't offer. Anyway you're in Seph2.

I have read and understood the Plot. I have never played the Fallout games. But after reading all that I think I might try them out one day. But back to what I was saying. I'm going to join this RP.

“In caps we trust”

Name: Gordon Trust

Nickname: Loner

Role: Gordon is pretty high in the ranks of the Company. Mostly does whatever is given to him to do; assassinations, kidnapping, courier, theft.

Age: 25

Appearance: http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll305/Spirit-Whisper/Arranged Story/anime-2-1.jpg

His messy black hair actually seems to compliment his triangular shaped face. A pair of thin black framed glasses sits on his nose. He’s about your average height, 5’9”. Gordon is fairly skinny and slender, though he does have a slight build on his midsection. A slight muscle tone on his pecs and abs, though he is never seen keeping it up.

Personality: Gordon is a very strange person to say the least. There are two sides to this coin. One side is the clumsy, geeky, head in the clouds, out there sort of Gordon. But when it comes to his job and missions he turns into a serious, smart, level headed and all together awesome guy. Very few know this side of him.

He is usually oblivious of what is going on around him when not in the middle of a mission. He tends to day dream and thinks about things that aren’t needed. Clumsy as well, been known to trip over his own feet at times. But when out in the field, he switches like someone turning on a light switch. His very demeanor changes, his attitude towards intel and information is always professional. The few who know him thinks that he is Bi-polar and that getting out into the world is the catalyst for the change.

Biography: Gordon was born into the Talon Company. His mother was a high ranking member of the Company and very respected. He grew up learning the tools of the trade. He was trained in some simple hand to hand. Also he was trained in how not only use, but take apart a gun and put it back together, as well as some knowledge in how to wield a blade.

When Gordon turned 19 his mother went on a mission given to her by the current leader of the Company. She was trusted to keep it secret and safe. Upon her arrival to the mission, everything was going smoothly. Then it went wrong, those who lived to return told the Company that a group of Regulators ambushed the team and wiped out as many of the members as they could, Including his mother.

So at the age of 19 Gordon had no father or mother to speak of. His rank in the Company was already low and with no one there to help him out in his pre mission strategy, his rank fell out. Over the following years Gordon worked his way up the ranks, from that of a rookie to almost a veteran.

Although his rank is high, he is treated much like a rookie. Mostly this is because of his personality and how he carries himself. If he could only learn to act like he does in the field, maybe more people would come to respect him. But he can’t seem to get over being the way he is.

Family: His mother was a very high ranking member of the Company. She died when he was 19, got killed in the middle of an assassination. His father is unknown to him, his mother used to tell him that his father was one of the old leaders off the Talon Company.

Quest: Stay alive as long as possible. Among other things, making sure he gets his missions done.

Karma: Neutral

Weapons: 2 Glock 19 G4 9mm pistols, Mossberg 930 Tactical Shotgun and a hunters sword

Equipment: His usual attire for when he is around the Company is a simple t-shirt and a pair of faded blue jeans. But when out and among the world, he wears the same shirt and jeans, plus an added dark tan trench coat and a pair of hiker boots.

Among these he carries around a small notebook and pen for writing down in information he thinks is necessary. A belt to hold his sword and gun holsters to house his two pistols, as well as a large pouch to hold his ammo.

Skills: Guns over all. The taking apart, putting back together and usage. Some minor sword play. As well as some hand to hand. Though he mostly uses his legs and feet to fight when he runs out of ammo.

Oh thank god. I was so worried I was going to have to do more or change something. Your explanation of the game was insightful, but I am completely new to the games universe.

Oh also, it's great to see you again Solareon.
