The boys started to get up slowly. KoJo joined them as well still holding the bird. The pigeon started squawking from KoJo’s grip getting tighter. He snapped out of it and let the bird go. It struggled as it flew away.
The girl came to a stop in front of the four. She dropped four backpacks and smiled.
“So you guys must be Ivory, KoJo, Jeeth and Xavier” she said
They blushed but didn’t say anything. She stood there with a hand on her hip waiting for a reply.
“You’re a girl!” Jeeth said breaking the silence
“Oh thanks for noticing captain obvious” she shot back
Jeeth gave a defeated look but smiled still.
She laughed. “My name is Azura and I was sent to rescue you guys”
“Azura” the repeated in unison
Azura laughed. “You guys act like you never seen a girl before”
“It’s been a while” Ivory said blushing
“True and I couldn’t help but notice you guys are pretty much running around in your underwear” Azura said
The four were turning red.
“You like?” Jeeth said striking a poise
Azura laughed. “There are fresh clothes in the backpacks I brought”
“You carried all four of these?” KoJo asked picking up one with his name.
“Yup” Azura said proudly
“ Sweet I can put on some pants” Xavier said
The boys started to dig in their backpacks for clothes.
“Wait!” Azura said
“What!?” they all said
“You guys are pretty dirty and messed up with wounds that need to be cleaned”
They stood in silence thinking ‘The point is?’
“I need to clean you guys up first then you can change” Azura said slowly
“Nah we don’t need to be cleaned” Jeeth said
“What if we get a disease” Ivory said
“Some of you guys look like you need stitches and you don’t want to get it effected” Azura said very motherly
The boys sighed in defeat. “Fine”
Azura smiled. “Okay who wants to go first?”
“I do!” Jeeth said raising his hand
“Wow I saw that one coming”
Jeeth smiled and walked to Azura. Azura observed Jeeth’s broken up body. His head had a gash, his face had slashes and on his side were what looked like whip marks.
“Eh you got it bad” Azura said starting to get something out of her belt that had many pockets. Her outfit was pretty much filled with pockets. She didn’t have a backpack of her own.
“Yeah I was a bad boy” Jeeth said smiling
“That is not surprising” Azura answered back
Azura told Jeeth to sit down on log near by. She put on gloves and went through Jeeth’s thick black hair. Under the thickness of his soft hair was a gash and dried up blood.
“Eww” she said
“Its that bad?” Jeeth asked
“Yeah you need stitches”
“Are you going to do it?”
“Yes I am after I clean it up. Too bad I have to shave your head” Azura joked
“What!? The ladies love the hair!” Jeeth shouted
Azura laughed and cleaned up Jeeth’s wounds. Just cleaning up Jeeth took about twenty minutes. It was going to be a long day.
Azura was finishing up on Jeeth. As she wiped his face from dried blood she was done.
“Wow Jeeth you look like a new person” Azura said
“I feel better to” Jeeth said observing his cleaned up body
“You can change now” Azura said pulling out a lollipop from one of her pockets.
She handed it to Jeeth. “For being a good boy”
Jeeth laughed and took it.
“Okay who is next?” Azura said looking at Ivory, KoJo and Xavier.
The three looked at each other seeing who would go.
“I’ll go” KoJo said
“Alright and you’re KoJo right?” Azura asked
“Yes I am” KoJo said flashing his white smile
“Geeze you make me feel like a shorty” Azura said laughing as KoJo stood up
KoJo laughed and sat down on the log. Azura first noticed a cut across his face and a couple more scattered throughout his body. He wasn’t as bad as Jeeth.
“So Azura where are you from?” KoJo asked
“I’m from the north” Azura said
“Oh really? Ivory is from the north” KoJo said looking at Ivory from the corner of his eye. Ivory blushed.
“That’s cool maybe we’re from the same town” Azura said
She cleaned up KoJo’s face fast. It was easy when we didn’t have a lot of hair. He was pretty much bald.
Next she told him to stand up. She walked around him and noticed a cut on his shoulder.
Azura finished up KoJo and handed him a lollipop.
KoJo put his hand on her shoulder and said thank you. Azura smiled and nodded.
She looked at the remaining two left. Xavier got up and walked to Azura.
“I’m Xavier”
“The ‘X’ man” Azura said laughing
“Yeah that’s me” Xavier said smiling
Xavier stood still while Azura observed him. She quickly noticed something in his hand.
“What’s that in your hand?” she asked.
Xavier opened his hand to reveal the picture of Autumn. Azura’s face soften and her eyes were getting watery.
“She’s beautiful” Azura said
“Her name is Autumn”
“Autumn? I think there is a letter for you from an Autumn”
“Really?” Xavier said as his face started to glow
“Yeah you can look at it when I’m done here”
Xavier nodded and Azura started to clean him up. He had a gash and a couple of scratches throughout his body. Like KoJo it didn’t take that long.
“Alright go read that letter” Azura said handing him a lollipop.
Xavier smiled and embraced Azura in a hug. She hugged back and a tear escaped.
She quickly wiped it away and looked at Ivory who was left.
“Looks like your next” Azura said
“Yeah” Ivory said shyly
Ivory stood up and looked at Azura. She quickly started to observe the wounds he obtained from Volker. Ivory kept looking at the movements she made. Azura then came up to look at Ivory’s face. He turned red and Azura laughed.
“You know Ivory you got it worse out of everyone” she said
“Yeah I figured that”
Azura started to clean Ivory’s face. He had a deep cut in a middle of a bruise. Azura dabbed it and got a needle and thread out.
“You might feel it a little but it shouldn’t hurt that much” Azura said
“Okay just hurry up” Ivory said nervously
Azura got close to Ivory and started to sew up the cut on his face. Ivory could feel Azura as she pulled his skin. Azura was done in moments. She cleaned the rest of cuts. And was done in ten minutes.
“Okay Ivory you are done” Azura said smiling
Ivory smiled well tried to his face was sore a little. “Thanks”
