Hello guys! This is my first FanFic here in like years. This is my own re-telling for the original Basically a Novelization of the serial with some new characters and story added to the mix. Basically an alternate universe. Hope you guys all like it!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Long ago when darkness and light still bore life, the Goddess emerged from the light and a malevolent entity known as Vile God took form from the darkness.

The Vile God, drawing strength from sorrow and suffering...

And the Goddess drawing strength from hopes and dreams...

In a desperate struggle for power and survival on both sides... For unending days and years, they fought...

A fierce battle ensued between these two supreme beings, deities of their own right, almighty of their own dominion.

The light tore the darkness into shreds, darkness corroded the light.

Eventually, both sides will tither utter annihilation upon each other. No distinct victor, no fallen loser. Eventually, these powerful entities shall both enter their own respective eternal slumber. Like a dying star emitting a final burst of light before imploding into darkness...

But from an another plane of existence... Far from the ensuing titanic battle between two deities, two beings watched on end as they peered from the other side... The birth of this new universe. Both silhouettes were rather displeased by the development of each passing moment.

-Male Voice-
"Arrgh... this is what happens when the scale of power is non-existent! Both supposed tips of that scale will destroy each other!"

-Female Voice-
"Ah but such is the universal law and flow of order. The when the medium is absent, they are fated to destroy each other in order to either destroy the universe itself or give way to a new life."

-Male Voice-
"I know... but its the waiting I can't stand. This is why I hate deities, they're always a pain in the neck."

-Female Voice-
"Please be more considerate with your words! You're acting like a petulant child again. Eternity is a luxury we have so we must see to this final stage of the cycle of birth of this universe."

Two figures beyond the universal boundary, a male and a female, spoke about these deities as if they were mere toddlers, and tools as means of an end. In actuality, they themselves transcend gods and goddesses. Beings that oversee the multiverse at it take shape and form, and overseeing each birth and death cycle of each universes in an infinite seas of dimensions and realities. They were both nowhere and everywhere at the same time, beings that exist beyond the realm of reasoning and beyond esoteric. They are to what the godheads called, the Celestial Beings.

-Male Voice-
"Say... Are you really gonna do it? I heard from the superiors, that the boss lady herself granted you the pass."

-Female Voice-
"I must. They themselves have foresaw the fragment to emerge here in this newborn universe."

-Male Voice-
"I see... So I guess I won't be seeing you around then."

-Female Voice-
"Yes. I'm sorry... such is duty. That is why I chose you to accompany me here before I enter."

-Male Voice-
"But if you enter, you won't be yourself anymore. Your memories, your identity and most of your powers erased until the fragment is procured."

-Female Voice-
"I know. I may have to live as a common human. But if I fail... then I'm not worthy--"

The male figure held his hand over the female figure before she could utter anymore word of self-deprecation. To her, she might be saying all this because of her strong sense of duty, but to him, it meant losing his friend, and he won't have it.

-Male Voice-
"Don't say that please. It's not like you to put yourself down like that."

-Female Voice-
"..."

-Male Voice-
"I am aware of the consequences if you fail. But do promise me one thing."

The male figure held both her shoulders, gazing upon her eyes lit with honest concern. She could only return the gaze with a sad one. But no matter what, sense of duty or not, she had to be strong... for her husband.

-Male Voice-
"--that you will do your best. One our daughter would be proud of. If you were to vanish into non-existence--DO NOT do so when you know you could have still done something to prevail. Now can I trust you?"

-Female Voice-
"...as you always can."

-Male Voice-
"That's my girl."

The two figures exchanged a warm embrace and a gesture of affection towards one another. For the first time in a long while the female figure smiled to the bottom of her heart, now finding the burning motivation to succeed. She may not remember it, after her entry but it was nice for something to hold on to.

As the two embraced, the battle between the two ruling deities has reached its end. With the Vile God and the Goddess finally dealing each other their final blow. As the life drained from the two deities, they both fell from the sea of stars to the ground beneath them.

-Female Voice-
"That's my queue."

-Male Voice-
"Right."

-Female Voice-
"Goodb--"

-Male Voice-
"No."

The male figure pulled her frame towards him and pressed his lips unto hers.

-Male Voice-
"I prefer... 'See you later'."

-Female Voice-
"Oh dear, always... you're always like this. Mhm~ alright. See you later."

Slightly flustered, the female figure gave him a light punch on the chest, like two flirting lovers at the prime of their relationship. With one final word of farewell, the male figure slowly let go of her hand and watched as his wife entered the passage towards the new universe. As the female figure's body slowly turn into a ball of light, she lightly blew her husband a farewell kiss before finally entering the passageway. The male figure clasped his hand in mid-air, as if catching something and put it on his chest.

This particular ball of light flew towards the passage, and zoomed faster than the speed of light. It caught up with the fall of the two deities' lifeless bodies within mere seconds. As the lifeless bodies of the dead gods fell into an another plane of existence, the ball of light fell with the numerous rain of weapons that were used by both deities in battle prior. Until finally, crashing into the primordial earth where life finally begins.

Present Day

In a dark cell from a dungeon underground, loud snores of a man lying asleep in one of the cells reverberated upon the empty place. The man was sleeping so soundly and even lying comfortably in his prison bed, to a prisoner, this was highly unusual. Then from the distance shrouded in shadows, footsteps was heard approaching this particular cell. A female figure, crouched slightly as she looked around cautiously, darting her eyes from left to right scanning the area.

She was a fair-pale skinned girl with a looks of a 17 year old with bright pink eyes and light pink hair worn in big pigtails. Holding them are black four-tail bows with two stripes of red on each tail and three big gold spheres in the center of both. She has very light, orange-pink gradient wings. She also wears a short red dress with accents of pale gold, white, and black. It is very frilly and has big puffy sleeves that match. Attached from the chest and going past the shoulder are black straps to match the frilly collar worn on her neck. In the center of it is a magenta cross lined in black. She wears red and black shoes with gold on the heel and a single, big gold orb a the tongue, along with tall white socks.

From her sleeve, she pulled out a ring of keys that she has stolen from the guards earlier. One by one she tried fitting the keys into the cells door, grunting frustrated as she kept picking on the wrong ones. Until finally the last key slid and clicked into place, she could almost jump in cheer. The girl then pulled the cell door open, and it took quite a lot as she did not expect it to be THAT heavy; she then approached the prisoner, still sleeping on the bed.

-Girl-
"Wake up, Fang."

-Fang-
"Zzz..."

-Girl-
"Fang... Wake up."

The girl was first poking him, but soon began shaking him as he was still sawing logs even after his cell opened. Frustration began bubbling up, the girl began shaking him violently.

-Girl-
"Hey! Fang! Wake up already! Wake up!"

Realizing her voice was too loud, she lowered the volume of her voice and continued her attempt on waking up Fang.

-Eryn-
"It's me, Eryn! I'm here to rescue you! We need to run."

-Fang-
"Huh...? Who's gotta to run?"

Finally waking up, although sluggishly, Fang slowly sat up on his bad and looked at Eryn with drowsy eyes. Letting her frustration loose, she womped his head.

-Eryn-
“You! Obviously, duh!”

She could only let out another grunt of frustration, it was almost saddening at this rate.

-Eryn-
“You’re so pathetic, I can’t believe you tried to skip out on paying for bread. Now rise and shine! We need to run!”

-Fang-
“Run? Why?”

-Eryn-
“You still have a duties as a Fencer, remember?”

Fang just cast a rather displeased and disapproving look unto Eryn.

-Eryn-
“Hurry up and let’s get out of here, so you can collect the Furies with me!”

-Fang-
“...Nah. You go by yourself. I kinda like this place already, and I’m planning to live the rest of my life here.”

Fang said nonchalantly to which thoroughly surprised Eryn, she just stared at him with mouth agape with disbelief.

-Eryn-
“Huh? Do you even know where you are? You’re in prison! The clink! The slammer! The crowbar hotel!”

-Fang-
“I know exactly where I am: Heaven! Seriously, this place rocks! I get free food and sleep all I want.”

Fang said it with conviction, not a stutter nor a gesture of doubt. Eryn felt like she was about to get a headache with his responses as she rubbed her temples.

-Fang-
“--In fact, I’m retiring here. Right now!”

Fang stood up from his bed, facing Eryn. He was young 22 year old man with light skin, short brown hair, and deep blue eyes. His attire consists of a white shirt covered over by a black jacket with white lining and red stripes going on both sleeves. He wears slightly baggy red pants with several pockets on both pant leg along with matching boots with the base color of black but are red on the bottom.

-Eryn-
“You really are an idiot, aren’t you? You’ve committed a serious crime! You’ll be punished with a hundred slaps on the wrist.”

Eryn crossed her arms, now lecturing Fang.

-Eryn-
“Your hands would be so numb that you won’t be able to move them anymore.”

-Fang-
“Oh that’s fine. Now I would have a reason not to wash my face.”

-Eryn-
“Again, your stupidity never ceases to amaze me. You won’t be also able to eat if your hands are useless, you know?”

-Fang-
“Okay. Let’s go.”

A complete 180 turn, Fang was instantly convinced. Eryn shook her head in frustration, and rubbing her temples intently. It would seem that when it comes to food and laziness, Fang immediately accepts the case wholeheartedly.

And so without any more moment to spare, the two finally walked out of the cell. Eryn could only think of getting out of here as soon as they can. But as they stepped out of Fang’s cell and into the end of the dungeon, Fang suddenly stopped in his tracks.

-Fang-
“I’m tired. You’re gonna have to carry me for the rest of the way.”

-Eryn-
“Huh…??? You haven’t even took 10 steps yet since he stepped out of your cell!”

Again, Eryn was furious at this sudden notion.

-Fang-
“Prison life has made me soft and weak. Now stop complaining and carry me.”

-Eryn-
“Quit messing around! You’ve only been locked up for 3 days!”

-Fang-
“Stop talking back to me, you stuck-up fairy. I’m the master here. You should be even thankful that I even entrust a fairy with my amazing body.”

-Eryn-
“Okay, just so we’re clear here. I am *not* your slave. Got it? Fencers and Fairies are equals. Remember that.”

Eryn, controlling her urge to beat him senseless, stated the primary rule of Fencers and Fairies’ bond to one another. While Fang was not entirely an abusive(?) Fencer himself, his overt laziness was a pain for Eryn.

Dismissing the topic completely, Eryn went to the corner and peeped to see if any guards were following them. Sure enough, two guards were lying on the floor just around the corner. Having been taken out by Eryn prior to reaching Fang’s cell.

-Eryn-
“Now be quiet. I put the guards asleep with my sleep magic. Now let’s get out of here before it wears off.”

-Fang-
“Sigh. Guess I have no choice.”

-Eryn-
“Sigh… why did I have to be stuck with him as my partner?”

Both sighing in resignation, the two hurried snuck out of the dungeon. Then from the dungeon, out on the forest where they stopped, after being spotted and running from the three guards from outside. The both of them stopped for a while and catch their breath.

Not far from where they were, a figure limply walked and wandered aimlessly throughout the woods. A woman, covered in a very dirty and ragged red cloak. Her stomach grumbling loudly as she has not eaten anything for 3 days; which would explain why she was limping and wobbling all over the place. Sheer willpower alone was keeping her on her feet.

As she proceeded further, she stumbled upon two individuals at a distance; Fang and Eryn just in the middle of taking a breather. The ragged woman hid behind the nearby tree as she contemplate on whether she should approach them or not.

Re: Re[START] : Fairy Fencer

The beginning of this with the Celestial Beings was my favorite part. I love how flirty and affectionate the husband and wife were before the wife had to leave. I do wonder if the woman at the end of the chapter is her? Or what became of all the weapons that fell into the ground? I want to know more. <3 This was awesome! I loved everything about this story from the start of this chapter. I won't know anything about the Novelization of this book, so I'm completely in the dark for once. In the meantime, I really like meeting Fang and Eren. I can totally relate to Fang the most because food is a huge motivator for me. lol. (Slightly joking here, but I do love food.) Anyways, I hope you continue this! I look forward to reading what's next! <3

Event 1: Fang and Eryn

---------------------------------

Three days earlier…

From a bustling crowd of a certain small town, a young man wobbled through the thick masses. Grunting with every step he make, while clutching on his stomach, Fang has eaten for a while now. His mind was muddled with nothing but food all day, at this point he would have to eat anything, even grass to stop his stomach from its incessant grumbling.

-Fang-
“Man… I’m starving. I wish someone would donate me some bread.”

Taking two painful steps forward, Fang accidentally bumps onto a bystander in front of him. As he did, he easily fell on his behind to the stone ground. He was weak both mentally and physically that he did not even noticed. The bystander he bumped onto quickly noticed and helped Fang up on his feet.

-Local Man-
“Oh! Are you alright, boy? You look pale and sick.”

-Fang-
“Nah, no sweat mister. Sorry my mind’s a mess. Huh?”

Noticing something behind the man, he craned his neck to the side and peeped behind him. From a patch of green and by the tree, Fang saw a sword stuck to the ground. The sword had very intricate design to it. Its hilt was like some sort of gear mechanism with its thick blade attached to it.

Though the sword looked like it had been claimed by nature already, with dirt and patches of moss on its blade, the steel itself still retained its chrome luster. Fang scratched his head and looked at the sword with genuine curiosity.

-Fang-
“Say mister, what’s the deal with that sword?”

-Local Man-
“Oh that? That’s a Fury, one of those old fairy weapons. That sword’s been stuck there even before the town was built.”

Furies, these were the weapons used by the Goddess and the Vile God themselves during their titanic battle in the beginning of time. Since their eternal slumber, most of these Furies landed here unto the mortal realm. Each of these Furies held great power to grant their wielder.

There were powerful Furies that contain a slumbering Fairy that lay dormant within the weapon. Only those worthy of wielding such powerful Furies were granted apart from incredible power, a Fairy to be their partner. These Fairy partners can unlock both the wielder and the Fury’s latent power. Those who wield such powerful Furies were called Fencers.

-Local Man-
“Occasionally, some foolhardy folk would swagger up to that sword and tried to pull it. But so far none has succeeded.”

Fang continue to let his curiosity fly.

-Fang-
“Hmmm… Does something cool happen if you pull it out?”

-Local Man-
“Who knows? Everyone knows the legend, though. If you wield a fury, any wish you desired would be granted. Tell you what, if you’re feeling confident, why don’t you give it a try?”

With that question, the local man left the spot, leaving Fang in his lonesome. Fang still eyed the sword with a growing sense of curiosity, and upon hearing that it can grant any wish…

-Fang-
“I see… If it grants any wish, then I could wish for a never-ending banquet of food!”

With his eyes sparkling and his heart and mind made up, Fang approached the sword. He circled it, as if to observe it then placed both his hands on its hilt. He tried nudging it from side to side, see if he could somehow loosen it from the base.

Then with a heave, he pulled it out without difficulty. He thought it would weigh a considerable amount of weight, but it was lighter than he thought. As he tried to wield it, suddenly, a golden light began illuminating from the Fury. Fang squinted his eyes as the light glow brighter and brighter until it clouded over his sight.

As the light died down, Fang blinked and rubbed his eyes. Then before him, appeared a young girl that sprouted wings, her clothes materialized from the light. She opened her eyes and greeted the one who pulled out the Fury, her new partner.

-Eryn-
“Hi! Nice to meet you! I’m Eryn, I am a fairy!”

-Fang-
“...gimme food.”

-Eryn-
“I am the life that resides in the Fury that you hold in your grasp. What’s your name?”

-Fang-
“...I’m Fang. Now gimme food.”

Despite Eryn’s cheerful attitude, and warm welcome towards her new partner, Fang seemed to have his priority set on something else. Not caring even the slightest bit to what she had to say.

-Eryn-
“Nice to meet you, Fang! That sword belongs to you now, and my power is yours as well.”

Eryn gave him a very warm smile, her heart was genuinely a-washed with gladness. But sadly Fang does not share the same sappy mood as her.

-Eryn-
“From this day forward, you are now a Fencer. And I shall lend you aid on collecting the Furies.”

-Fang-
“Hey hey! Wait just a damn minute. I shut my mouth and let you have your own spiel, but I’m putting my foot down here.”

Not taking any more of this nonsense, Fang finally decided to speak up.

-Fang-
“Fencer? Since when did you decided to tell me what I should do? Now hurry up with that food or just bug off.”

-Eryn-
“Fencers are weapon specialists that fight to collect the Furies--and that one in your grasp is but one of a hundred.”

Regardless, Eryn continued her cheerful streak. Explaining the matter to her new partner the grand scheme, much to the dismay of Fang.

-Eryn-
“If you gather all the Furies and revive the Goddess who has been sealed away with the Vile God, your wish will be granted.”

With that last statement Fang finally was fed up and exploded. Eyeing Eryn with a very very displeased look, his eyes bloodshot and looked like he was about to hit someone.

-Fang-
“What the hell!? That is not what I was told! You’re a fraud. A big, fat, fairy fraud!”

His veins on his temple was basically throbbing as he became furious, combined that with the hunger-induced stress. Poor Eryn could only take the full brunt of his anger.

-Fang-
“I thought I would just pull out this damn sword!”

-Eryn-
“Not at all. That is just the beginning. Now, come young Fencer! Let us begin our wondrous adventure together!”

-Fang-
“...nope.”

-Eryn-
“Huh? Wh-What was that?”

For the first time, Eryn was hit by reality square on the jaw. Her eyes widened with disbelief with her new partner’s response.

-Fang-
“I said… ‘nope’, no dice. Being a Fencer sounds like a massive pain in the ass. So, no thank you.”

The anger has died down, only a genuine expression of disinterest remained. Fang just answered her enthusiasm with a blunt response, an awful one at that. He turned around from Eryn and began walking away.

-Fang-
“Just thinking about collecting 100 Furies makes me sleepy.”

-Eryn-
“...Wha--Heeeeey…! You’re the one who broke the Fury’s seal and woke me up! That makes you a Fencer! You’ve already formed an unbreakable bond with me, so don’t return my enthusiasm with such hurtful things!”

-Fang-
“...Wha? ‘Unbreakable Bond’? Watch me. Later.”

-Eryn-
“Wait! The one who pulls the sword is destined to revive the Goddess with me!”

As Fang hasten his pace to lose Eryn, the fairy gave chase to her partner. But it was clear that Fang had no interest with this heavy endeavor whatsoever.

-Fang-
“Cool story sis. But I don’t take orders from anyone. I’m the one who decides my fate.”

-Eryn-
“Why are you so mean?! This is my first time, you know… I have been looking forward to having a partner for a very long time! Please take responsibility!”

Eryn’s eyes began to well up with tears as Fang continue to neglect and ignore her. Finally losing Eryn from the crowd, Fang made a hasty exit leaving his fairy alone. Eryn was just angrily sobbing as she watched as Fang walked away from her.

-Eryn-
“Fine! Walk away, you heartless scoundrel! You’re the worst!”

Eryn yelled at the top of her lungs while passers-by looked on to the scene. It was like witnessing a lover’s quarrel of some sort. She angrily stomped away from the opposite direction where Fang had gone.

It was then that Fang resorted into theft, sneaking a single loaf of bread unto his jacket from a nearby bakery stall. Unfortunately it failed as someone saw him doing the deed. He tried to make a hasty retreat but due to his hunger he was easily caught by the town guards and was thrown into prison.

Eryn did not heard of it until later in the afternoon. At first she would have just let Fang have it, since he deserved it no less. But he was her partner now, no matter what the both of them think. Eryn was aware that pretty much their fates were intertwined now, he may be a big jerk but Fang was still her partner.

Resigning to fate, Eryn just decided to devise a plan to bust Fang out of prison. It may take time, but she had to try. She just had the wrong person at the right place at the right time.

===========================

Later that evening…

From the dark of night and under the sea of twilight. The streets were now empty as gas lights now put out. From the very same spot where Fury was pulled out of by Fang earlier, a mound swelled from the ground.

The mound began to grow in size and then from the dirt, a hand emerged. The hand grabbed the blanket of dirt as a humanoid figure finally emerged from it. It was then the figure’s full profile illuminated by the starlight, a naked woman crawled from dirt with a gaping hole on her chest.

Apart from her voluminous body, she sported a rather pale complexion. She also had a very long white hair that seem to glow(?) under the starlight. Her eyes akin to black pearls as they beautifully glistened even in the night.

The hole where the Fury, the one that Fang pulled out earlier, had impaled her. It was thanks to that sword that she had not woken up in her appointed time. As she slowly stood up, legs wobbling, the gaping wound on her chest began to close up. Although it left quite a mark, she could not close up the wound properly.

-Guardsman 1-
“--and she was like, no you pay for the--what the?”

-Guardsman 2-
“Huh? What’s wrong?”

-Guardsman 1-
“Uh… You there!”

It was just so happen that a pair of night patrol of town guardsmen happen to wander in her direction. The guardsmen immediately approached the naked woman as they spotted her. They would apprehend her for public indecency but immediately changed their minds as they saw her rather helpless.

-Guardsman 1-
“Ma’am? Are you okay? You’re in your skivvies in the middle of the night, did something happen?”

-Woman-
“Uuh… …”

-Guardsman 2-
“We should take her to the outpost and her some clothes, she’s gonna catch a cold out here.”

-Guardsman 1-
“Right!”

One of the guardsmen took off his cape and wrapped it around her seemingly defenseless frame. The two assisted the woman and took her to their outpost for temporary shelter. The woman kept silent, gazing into nothing in particular with those dead eyes.

As they questioned her on the outpost, she could not even speak properly. It seemed that she lost her memory and cannot seem to recall where she came from or who she was. The woman only spoke in short and vague sentences like a toddler just barely learning to speak.

The next day, the woman was let go by the guardsmen and left to wander. But not before giving her some clothes at least, but other than that, they could not help her. They were just mere guardsmen, not sitters.

The woman now sports a black outfit, sparsely adorned with golden beads. The outfit consists of long, well-fitting pants, a large gunslinger-style belt worn diagonally, and a long collared trench coat, left unbuttoned. Then under her coat, she wore a short black zip-up top to cover her breasts. She also wore a large red cloak as her means to combat the cold nights.

Without any place to go, nor persons to meet, the woman just wandered aimlessly around for three grueling days. Doing nothing, searching for nothing in particular, as if she was waiting on something to happen.

=====================================

Present Day…

After losing their pursuers, Fang and Eryn stopped in the middle of the forest to catch their breath. Scanning around, Eryn kept a lookout on the distance to make sure that they were not followed. She then turned to Fang with her hands on her hips and a very displeased expression.

-Eryn-
“...So you thought you could get away with stealing a bread just because you pulled out that sword? Just how naive are you?”

-Fang-
“I didn’t ‘steal’ it! I thought it was a free sample! I should’ve just pawn off this sword for some extra cash instead.”

-Eryn-
“J-Just how awful are you…?”

Eryn’s eyes again began to well up with tears at the harsh thought. It was then she now began having second thoughts on helping Fang out. But before they could continue on with their usual angry banter, a group of guardsmen spotted them from a distance and were closing in fast.

-Guardsman-
“There they are! After them before they escape!”

-Eryn-
“The guards! They found us!”

-Fang-
“Alright Fairy, now is your time to make yourself useful. As your master, I order you to sacrifice yourself to save me.”

-Eryn-
“How many times do I have to tell you!? I’m not your slave and you’re not my master! I’m your partner and we’re in this together! Now c’mon fight!”

Both of them were still tired from all the running, there was no choice but to lose them for good. The only option now was to fight.

-Eryn-
“Use me Fang! Use the power of the Fury!”

Fairy Link!

With those two words, Eryn became a ball of light and circled around Fang. Eryn then fused herself unto the Fury, or Fang’s weapon that gave its weapon its color. Black and gold with red trims colored the entirety of the weapon itself, it was now filled with power thanks to Eryn. Fang held the sword and wield it front of the guardsmen.

-Guardsman-
“Stop right there, fugitive! Halt!”

-Fang-
“Ugh! I dunno what the hell’s going on. Guess I have no choice! Come at me!”

-Eryn-
“Ready Fang? With my power, you’ll defeat these guys in no time!”

Eryn’s voice resonated from the sword, speaking directly at Fang through his weapon. Although she may not be here physically, she can still communicate with her partner in this way.

-Fang-
“You’re just a damn sword! I’m still outnumbered here!”

-Eryn-
“I’m not just a regular sword, you know? With my power, you can easily perform attacks and feats you did not even know you had to dominate you opponents!”

-Fang-
“That’s it!? Seriously!? That’s nothing special!”

-Eryn-
“Hmhmhm… I’m a fairy, remember? I can also grant you access to cast magical spells!”

-Fang-
“What!? Magic!? You should’ve said so before!”

Eryn was at the height of her pride at the moment as she explained the basic perks to Fang. This would be the first battle that they will fight together, both people were both elated at the same time. With a newly-found fire in his eyes, Fang jerked his hand forward and concentrated as if channeling something.

-Fang-
“Foie Gras! Roast beef! Clam Chowder! Give me tasty food and a big buffet!!!”

Fang yelled with all of his heart and soul his incantation, names of food he was craving at the moment. An awkward episode ensued among the pursuing guards as they looked at each other, baffled with what Fang was trying to say.

-Fang-
“Ah. Your magic’s busted.”

-Eryn-
“Not THAT kind of magic, you idiot! I’m talking about basic elements, like Fire, Water, Wind and Earth!”

Eryn screamed at her partner’s simple-minded understanding, her voice resonated from the sword itself unto Fang’s head. Not sparing anymore moment of reprieve, the guardsmen altogether charged at Fang. Seeing that he was armed, they had no choice but to subdue him with force.

-Fang-
“Ah.”

Fang’s attention immediate shot at his attackers. He was about to run away, but his battle instinct overcame him. As the guardsmen swung their blades to him, Fang readied his sword. With a graceful motion, and effortless maneuver, he twirled his blade forward then side to side. He skillfully parried and blocked their attacks like a seasoned swordsman.

-Fang-
“M-My body… it feels light. I… I can fight!”

Thoroughly surprised by his own display of swordsmanship and his heart now swelling with courage, Fang took stance once again. The guardsmen did not let up, they followed their assault with a merciless strings of connecting blows. Fang then spun around while twirling his blade to parry each attacks with deadly precision, wielding his blade in a unorthodox style of swordsmanship, a reverse-grip style.

With this style, he can utilize his mobility and maneuverability to the fullest in close quarters. Fang can block, parry and perform effective counterattacks. He can benefit from a good defense, without sacrificing offense.

As he swung to block all three blades of his attackers, Fang shifted the weight of his grip and pulled them into a lock. With one heave, he pushed the blades up, exposing their defense. Fang immediately spun around into a crouch, and performed a leg swipe to the left connecting to a roundhouse to the right. Then as he landed, he launched and corkscrew-flipped forward into a downward slash. Taking all three of the guardsmen out, sending them all flying back.

-Fang-
“Haaaa!”

Fang slid his foot back then extended his arm with an open palm. Concentrating his mana, three layers of energy circle manifested from his palm, forming a funnel. From the concentrated mana, fire burned from his palm accumulating into a sphere.

-Fang-
“Fireball!”

A sphere of fire shot out from his palm and unto the guardsmen. The ball of fire bee-lined unto his opponents and exploded on contact. Fang looked at his palm in disbelief.

-Fang-
“Did--did I just do all that…? I’ve never held a sword before, I’ve never even been able to fight.”

-Eryn-
“Awesome, Fang! I knew you had it in you! And yes you did! This is our power as Fencer and Fairy.”

-Fang-
“I guess I did! Ha! Ha! Ha! I’m awesome and I don’t even know it!”

Fang felt like he was on the top of the world at the moment, letting out a hearty and loud laugh, much to Eryn’s dismay. Eryn would say something to interrupt but she decided to keep her mouth shut for the time being. She forgot how arrogant Fang could be, as soon as he heard one little praise.

-Cloaked Fencer-
“You there.”

In the middle of Fang’s celebration, a distinct voice rang from the distance. From the twilight of the night, a tall cloaked man with a massive sword emerged from the shadows. He wielded a massive 8-foot sword with a velvet hue and a mechanical design.

-Cloaked Fencer-
“Oho… That sword.”

-Fang-
“Huh? More of them? You might as well run, I’ve taken of your buddies.”

-Eryn-
“Fang! Look at his blade, that’s a Fury! This guy’s no laughing matter!”

-Fang-
“You mean… he’s a Fencer?”

The mysterious figure then slowly took out his massive blade from his back. It looked quite heavy yet as he wielded it, the Fencer did not even felt its weight. Fang took a step back, this person was raring for a fight.

-Cloaked Fencer-
“I’ve been sent here to investigate a Fury. But I was not expecting it would come to me instead.”

-Fang-
“Hey, hey! There must be some kind of mistake--”

-Cloaked Fencer-
“You are a Fencer aren’t you? Now raise your blade!”

As the Fencer raised his massive blade, a large presence appeared behind him. Its elongated body, twirling and spiraling into the night sky, with crystal talons and horns and armored scales, a dragon. This was the Cloaked Fencer’s fairy. The Dragon bellowed at Fang and fused with the Cloaked Fencer’s massive blade.

-Fang-
“Now look here--”

-Eryn-
“Fang, look out!”

Before Fang could reason with this Cloaked Fencer, he already made his first move. With tremendous skill, the Fencer swung his massive blade with deathly ease, like he was just wielding a light weapon. The agility, speed and technique far dwarfs Fang’s by a long shot.

Fang did his best to retaliate, but the reach of his opponent’s Fury, and the speed, he could only defend against it. Each attack of the Cloaked Fencer cleaved through a swath of trees in the forest. Each of his blow, felt so heavy that it felt like he was going to cut through Fang’s defense in any moment. Eventually, Fang had to resort to evading as he felt the stress on his body as he continue to take on anymore blows.

-Cloaked Fencer-
“Hmmmph!”

-Fang-
“Argh--!!!”

In a massive arc, the Cloaked Fencer swung his blade forward in a flash. The blow sent Fang flying through a tree trunk before skidding through the ground.

-Eryn-
“Fang! Are you alright? Fang! Get up! He’s coming!”

-Fang-
“Shut up! I know! Argh… I can’t even close the distance on him. Dammit!”

-Eryn-
“Then, we should try our Fairize.”

-Fang-
“Fair-what now? Why didn’t say sooner!?”

-Eryn-
“No arguing! C’mon!”

Propping himself up, Fang managed to get back up on his feet. As he gazed forward, he saw the Cloaked Fencer closing in. Calming himself for a bit and regaining his focus, he concentrated his power unto the Fury as Eryn did the same.

-Eryn and Fang-
“Now! Fairize!”

-Cloaked Fencer-
“...!”

The Cloaked Fencer was taken by surprise, as Fang threw his sword up into the sky. As he did, the sword went back down like a shooting star, then stabbed itself unto Fang’s chest. Not exactly in a physical manner, but rather the Fury itself phased its blade through Fang’s spiritual aspect.

The Fury glow as Fang pulled it out his chest, projecting his spirit out as he did. As Fang’s spirit re-joined with his physical body, he was enveloped with a blinding light. From that light, formed his armor over his clothing. The armor consisted of a visor, a breastplate with short back pinions, gauntlets and long knee-guards that form down his shins.

This overall red motif had a rather pseudo-mechanical design unto it. Fang looked at his hands, and felt an overflowing power coursing through him. His body was glowing and he felt energized.

-Fang-
“Whoa, I transformed!”

-Eryn-
“This is the true potential of my power, and this armor is called the Fury form!”

-Fang-
“Awesome! Wait… I did stabbed myself earlier didn’t I? Why am I not bleeding or wounded?”

-Eryn-
“Questions later! He’s coming right at us!”

As the Cloaked Fencer again charged at him, Fang suddenly disappeared from where he was standing. He appeared beside his opponent then unleashed a powerful barrage. The Cloaked Fencer matched his speed, and clashed blades with the now transformed Fang in blinding speeds.

With his new Fury form, Fang can now match the Cloaked Fencer’s attributes. With this new form, his strength, speed, agility, and technique were increased ten-fold. It was more than the edge he needed to face this opponent on equal footing.

-Cloaked Fencer-
“Interesting!”

-Fang-
“Then try this for size!”

As Fang locked blades with the Cloaked Fencer, he slid his blade unto his opponent’s, creating a leverage to close in the distance. As he closed the distance, he concentrated his mana on his right hand and began accumulating fire. But instead of opening his palm to fire the spell, he closed it, clasping the fireball and engulfing his fist on fire. With his fiery fist, Fang delivered a fiery punch to his gut.

-Cloaked Fencer-
“Tch…”
The Fencer gritted his teeth as he endured the pain, maintaining his stance. As he slid back from the impact of the attack, he bent down slightly to brake his reverse. He then immediately darted forward with a lightning-speed swing.

Fang met this attack with his own, and the two once again locked blades. As they did, suddenly Fang’s Fury form dissipated in an instant. He was reverted back into his normal form.

-Fang-
“What!?”

-Cloaked Fencer-
“Useless!”

-Fang-
“Guh…aaaaarrrrggh!!!”

-Eryn-
“Kyaaaaahh…!!!”

Seizing the opportunity, the Cloaked Fencer pressed his massive blade into a full swing, sending Fang flying. Fang tumbled through the dirt before crashing unto the tree, disarming him of his sword. As the Fury was disarmed from Fang’s grasp, Eryn was ejected from being fused from the blade.

Fang was knocked unconscious, while Eryn barely kept hers. As the Cloaked Fencer approached the unconscious Fang, Eryn tried to crawl unto his aid.

-Cloaked Fencer-
“Each swing of your weapon holds nothing on it. You fought with nothing weighing on each of your blows. No courage, no resolve, no reason. I have never felt so disrespected. You could not even maintain your Fury Form.”

-Eryn-
“F-Fang…! D-don’t--”

-Cloaked Fencer-
“Now to conclude this shameful encounter.”

The Cloaked Fencer raised his massive blade over his head, aiming for the unconscious Fang. Eryn screamed as she desperately reached for her partner’s aid, dragging her frame to the dirt just to get to him. The Fencer’s massive sword illuminated with swirling energy as he prepared to strike him down. Then with one massive heave, he brought his blade down like a death sentence.

-Eryn-
“FANG!!!”

Then just before the blade could cut Fang down, it suddenly stopped.

-Eryn-
“...!”

-Cloaked Fencer-
“Who in the--?”

-Woman in Ragged Cloak-
“...”

His massive blade was stopped by the Woman in a ragged red cloak. Stopping it with only her ring, and in a rather relaxed stance. The Cloaked Fencer was shocked at the display. His swing as at a full force, and anyone who would even dare to stop would be also be cleaved in half, and yet this woman just stopped it like she caught a falling leaf.

-Woman in Ragged Cloak-
“Hmm…”

-Cloaked Fencer-
“Wha--argh!”

The woman then flicked her finger, the Cloaked Fencer was sent sliding back a few meters. Even with his full resistance, the Cloaked Fencer was sent flying like he was nothing. Eryn was at a disbelief by this display of power, she thought the Cloaked Fencer was powerful, but this woman dwarfs him like ant to a moon.

-Cloaked Fencer-
“Haaaah…!”

With a powerful swing, the Fencer swung his blade forward with all his strength. The power of the swing created a razor vacuum projectile that flew straight at them. Before the attack could reach them, the Woman then grabbed her ragged cloak and brandished it forward.
-Cloaked Fencer-
“...!?”

The attack exploded on impact. But as the Fencer saw it connected, the woman even Eryn and Fang vanished from sight. Only the red cloak remained, as it fluttered down after being cut in half. The Cloaked Fencer quickly scanned his surroundings for any traces of where they have gone to. But all proved to be in vain as he saw nothing, it really was as if they just up and vanished without a trace.

-Cloaked Fencer-
“Hrrmm… They fled. That boy and his fairy… and that woman. I need to keep an eye for them.”

Returning his Fury on his back, the Cloaked Fencer gave on his search and walked away from the scene.

I'm glad the guards proved to be decent fellows with the mysterious woman having no memory despite performing impossible against the Cloak Fencer. Fang and his quest for food sure did lead him into trouble. lol. Amazing to think it all happened in like the same day. xD And Eryn, you poor Fury. I hope one day Fang grows to care about you besides food. Might be holding my breath on that one. Seriously, this was so gooood! <3 Can't wait to read what's next! And awesome chapter! :D
