I've been having a lot of trouble with my computer. The internet stops working at random times. My mom wants me to do a Factory reset, which I had done a long time ago once by accident, but now I don't know how. I have Windows XP. Can someone help me?

We'll need a bit more information.
What kind of computer? (HP, Compaq, Acer?)
Do you have a recovery CD?
Do you have a recovery Partition?
When you first started up your computer, did you create recovery DVD?

Format will be the easiest thing. Just pop in your windows CD, restart, and boot from the CD. It will ask you if you what partitition to install on, select the current one you use (probably 1st one) and it will reformat the partition. Follow the instructions and windows qill reinstall fresh.

WARNING: This will erase every file on your computer. If you need to keep certain things, back them up on CDs or whatnot.

My internet kept messing up too, turns out I was using too good, or was it bad, of a modem. Go figure. . .
