It takes place over summer vacation, the friend group are all primary schoolers on their last year before going to middle school, one of the main plot threads involves time travel and multiverse theory, and Crispin Freeman plays Karasu, a time travelling future counterpart to one of the friend group.

Though there are a few other Digimon VAs among the cast Main girl Haruka is played by Melissa Fahn(Rika), her mom is played by Mona Marshall(Izzy/Terriermon) and Yuri Lowenthal(Kai in the first Tamers movie) plays main boy Yū, just to name a few.
