Highly doubtful. Save for what they pretended to do with SoKai to try and make Sora seem less gay and one important yet all but ignorable sentence Sora threw Namine's way, there's all but no romance in KH between the Square characters. The concept is friendship, not love.

As much as I approve of Terra/Aqua, I'd have to say that's what fanfiction for. I really would prefer they keep romance out of it, especially seeing how the romance being shoved in is what all but killed Kairi for me.

I kinda thought that Aqua was kind of a mother figure to the group.

I'd give her AT MOST a year on Terra.

Maturity and concern doesn't indicate age. Think of it as a more mature side to Kairi's bossiness, and she's younger than Riku and arguably Sora, too. It's part of a person's character, how they go about tending people. It means Aqua's affectionate, not that she's older.

Eh, it's coming to a point where I believe romance in VG's is pointless and stupid; a majority of the time the pairings are too obvious and not well executed. It greatly annoys me.

Some times it's nice. Obvious as all hell, I agree, but there're times where the chemistry of it is wonderfully produced.
Then again what I have in mind is from Tales of Destiny and there it wasn't all out romance so maybe I'm contradicting myself here...
