Well im assuming from the video ive seen on multiplayer mode and the guy that was playing didnt go to download play. Plus if the back cover of the Days case dont have wireless ds single card download play at the top right of it then it wont have it.

All DS's have no region protection (DS, DS Lite, DSi)

DSi has region locking for at least it's 'software' which may or may not include its games when they come out.
