Staring into a long, dark cave was like staring into life, you never know what may happen. Even Mesisea, who always knew that the outcome was neither good or bad, but mixed in a strange way was scared to go into the enveloping shadow of the dark inner working of the cave. Most of the time he just faced what ever lied ahead of him without a care, knowing that he was old, lonley and that his life was already screwed up enough that dieing would be more like a blessing from the gods then a pain and curse from what ever lied in hell and worse. But this time he had another life to care for, one he had pledged to protect, but it seemed the small, young cub didn't know that a little bear like himself would most likely rote and die in the stench infested cave that was not what it always seemed to be.
The bear cub ran right into the darkness of the carved rock and ran off someplace that was in who knows where. Mesisea yelled at it to come back but knew in his heart that it would not work. He knew that not only would he have to avoid the dangers of the cave, find his way through the maze that lied ahead, and make sure that he would come out through the right exit but now he also had to find the cub that had run of into a place that it couldn't fend for itself in.
"Well, at least it isn't a war mission, and I don't have to excead at everyth......."
He didn't finsh reasureing himslef because Mesisea knew that he would have to do everything and still survive. It was sounding like an escape mission with many things to do along the way while he is old and can't run as fast and fight as well. Plus if he doesn't succead at everything then either he will get out and live with the fact knowing it was his fault letting it die. And if he got the bear but didn't get out he would die and who knwos what would happen then. He would be forgotten, if there is anybody who knew him to forget him. But that isn't the point. He would die in a dark cave where his body would be left to rote. A misareble ending to a misareble life. But Mesisea wanted to end his happy, to show that even though he had such a horrible life that he could end it magnificantly, to show that even though he had such a life wrote with pain, he could end it with a worriers heart and brave the last fight he had out, and die right there, knowing that he had accomplished his goal.
