What I wonder though is that if it was for Japanese, what was the point of hiding an english line in it... unless Nomura expected us to get it sooner or later by downloading it, and so we would have to hurt our brains more thinking on something that has no real feeling or anything, just there to mess with our heads -paranoid-

Just to clarify, Utada Hikaru writes her OWN lyrics for ALL her songs, including Passion, so it wasn't S-E or Disney or even Tetsuya Nomura that wrote it. This would mean that these REVERSED lyrics weren't meant for the game. No one knows why she put REVERSED lyrics into her song, but some of her fans think she liked the idea of it from one of her fansites and used it in Passion as some experiment or maybe just to please her fans. Lately, ever since she released her English album Exodus, her music has been a little bit experimental.
