But they were called Aerial Blades :/ Why are they now Ethereal Blades in English?

Not to mention they called Lexeaus' an axe sword when tomohawk is a cooler name.
And in reality, unless Zexion's book is a dictionary, Tome or more correct than lexicon.

Zexy's book has always been a Lexicon, however.
And tomohawk is cooler than axe sword.

I'm well aware of it always being called a lexicon, but tome is more accurate, or at least, less inaccurate.

gay, why did they have to pronounce it like "lee"?
now that's what everyone's going to go off of.
i know that there is a difference between
english and japanese pronunciations -
i mean, we pronounce roxas like roxas,
not rokusasu. but still, i don't think they had to go
and change it from lea to "lee". ugh. whatever.

Probably because most people would find it "gay" for them to keep it Lee-uh instead of just Lee.

Well guys. Apparently Xigbar believes one can drown goldfish.

YouTube - English KH 358/2 Days Complete Playthrough Part 57

:/

It's just a figure of speech, don't be so literal.

And about the ice cream line, I actually thought it fit.

To Roxas, eating ice cream with his friends is significant and has a lot of meaning behind it. It was something he enjoyed doing after day after day of defeating Heartless for reasons he didn't understand. He's a simple character because he has no memory of his past, so I think it fits.

Is it? That's an interesting one I've never heard before.

Anyway, anyone see the Xion and Axel confrontation scene yet? Not that it was bad, but I thought Stoner just a tad too mellow. Quinton was amazing. It was weird how much it didn't even sound like him when he yelled.

"If you could save one of them, why would you choose the puppet? or put it this way: which would you rather suffer the loss of: some make believe friendship, or a real one?"

What...? Saix, calling Axel and Roxas' friendship real..??

Secret Reports Day 276 (Axel) said:
Saix would probably laugh and say it’s ridiculous that we, who don’t have hearts, could be friends, but there is no mistaking that we are.

Secret Reports Day 352 (Xion) said:
I think Saix would laugh at that thought, and say that these are fake emotions made from my memories. But, I liked the time I spent on top of the clock tower with Roxas and Axel.

Yees, cause Saix believes in the power of friendship.

It erases mention of their secret plan, and makes Saix an akuroku shipper. wtf

And. 'Lee'. Ohh, so his name is Exel now is it. Maybe he can do spreadsheets for me :/
(Yeah, I know it's still spelt Lea. But what the hell. Why is Marluxia 'Marloosha', following the Japanese pronouciation, when Lea is 'Lee'?)

My literal translation, for anyone who cares.

S: For you to say something like that out loud, well.
That doll, or Roxas. Which is important to you?
Let's change the question.
That worthless pretend friendship, or the annihilation of Roxas.
Which is more important?
Everything is going back to how it was.
Of course it's better this way, right?
Xemnas is irritated at the recent change in plans.
Everything will go back to how it was.
For the sake of our goal, too.
...Lea.

For comparisons' sake.

358/2 Days said:
S: I never expected you to question it.
If you could save one of them... why would you choose the puppet?
Or put it this way.
What would you rather suffer the loss of: a make-belive friendship,
Or a real one?
Things are finally right again.
Of course we're better off this way.
Xemnas is exasperated from all the "fixing" we've had to do.
We have to set things right.
There is simply too much on the line...
Lea.

Ahh, if people are sick of me nitpicking over semantics like this, just say so and I'll shut up.

We get to hear Riku's impression of a Brooklyn accent.
"When his memories were scattahd"

Too many awkward pauses because of that lip syncing.

Also, what's with them not even being able to sub their own dialogue correctly? This is the third cutscene I've seen that has multiple instances of mis-subbing.

Example.
Text: "So, do you hate me for taking your friend away?"
Voice: "So, do you hate me for taking your friend away from you?"

It takes them a month longer than it did for KH2 to come out in English, and they still let that shit slip by them across several cutscenes.
Not that it really matters, but it gives the impression that they were rushed.

God I hope they don't do this with BbS.

Something dawned on me that I hadn't thought of before though.

All of the cutscenes in both Days and Re:CoM are prerendered FMVs, whereas most of those in KH1/KH2 are in-game sequences.

It may very well be the case that rather than being lazy, the English developers simply did not have the means by which to alter the lip syncing. In fact, it's almost a given.

So Birth by Sleep's lip syncing may be contingent on the cutscenes being either prerendered or in-game.
Given the quality of the cutscenes (they seem to be on the same level of KH2)... I would say they're prerendered. Meaning that we'd get the terrible lip syncing.

that is very unfortunate, i was hoping they would have really nice lip syncing.

oh well...i jsut hope they stop talking the minute the lips do, that way i wouldnt mind so much.
