That's just a lie. The Wii is twice as powerful as the GCN, which was already notably more powerful than the PS2. A lot of Wii games I've seen look better than anything that could be possibly be achieved on the PS2.

That's right. Nintendo never pushed the Game Cube to its limits. It would've been on par with the X-box. The Ps2 is the one with the weakest processing power.

I've never been one for... caring about "processing power". If the game's good, the game's good, you know?

good graphics dont make the game, but i do believe they make it better..... i mean who wants a sh!tty lookin game

This is true to a certain degree, but a shitty looking game can still be very fun, if all the other areas are good. Look at Megaman Legends. The characters look as if they're made of boxes, but everything else is so fantastic the game has a lot of charm as a result.

Whereas if a game looks great but the rest of what makes a game good suck...well, that goes without saying.

A lot of the time worrying so damn much about a game's graphics just completely detracts from other areas of the game.

Look at Metal gear Solid 1 on the PS1, and then play The Twin Snakes remake of MGS1. Jesus christ, that game did so much shit fcking wrong because they decided that a masterpiece like MGS1 needed to actually look pretty.

While I do agree with most of what you're saying, I would like to state that I would have absolutely no problems with the game if it used sprites instead. I don't see why everyone makes such a big deal out of them. You'd imagine that 3D is naturally better for the game, allowing it to feel more real, giving the game more emotion, but this isn't always so. Look at CoM: it used sprites, but had the best character development/handling of any KH game to date. Infinitely better than KH2's, I'd have to say.

I couldn't agree more. They chose the right thing to focus on in CoM and as far as GBA games go, I enjoyed it greatly. It didn't feel any "less KH" to me just because of the sprites.

And I, for one, feel that not using the touchscreen functions is a bit of a waste.

I weeped when I heard that :[ TWEWY taught me the magic of the stylus. I'd miss it.

Don't see much point in quoting the rest, so I'll just say I agree 100%. A big part of the DS's success as of the Wii's is the physical interaction, making for a nice "gimmick". Taking that away from the console leaves us with what so many people complained about for CoM - a weak console that you can't do too much with when compared with other consoles. It's just that this one has so many users for other reasons/games/whatever that they literally hopped the bandwagon.
This does make me wonder what made them choose this if Nomura really chooses the console based on its beneficence to the game - seeing how the only main "benefit" I see is that you get the map on the lower screen.
Seeing how we all came through KH1 just fine without it and that was actually part of what made KH2 painfully easy, I don't think it was a must.
And LR Buttons would serve me much more in camera rotation then suddenly switching to the stylus when I'll need it.

And the Multiplayer was said to be set during an AU of sorts as to explain all the org members being available, right? Mrrf.

Just in case you got the wrong impression with my post, I have no qualms with sprites. I was just addressing the complaints of the users. I was stating how they could have recieved a game graphically identical to Chain of Memories. And I do agree that KH:COM character development blows KH2 out of the water. It's story was also more engrossing as well. But I'm not too sure when we compare it KH1, though COM is the darkest KH game to date.

Which shows they're mostly putting it on the DS to take advantage of the userbase, and while I can't blame them for wanting to make money...yeah.

Yep...yep. But it is also a bonus for us. This also broadens the Kingdom Hearts library, it's a win win!

Story wise KH1 was more epic, I'd say, but CoM still takes the cake as far as character development goes. It only makes sense since it was effectively one long event where you breezed through the "worlds" and had a much more linear and clear plot to guide you through them so it was easier to concentrate on the characters.
Also, seeing how the worlds were effectively dictated by Namine herself, that made for quite a bit of hidden meanings and messages up to downright dialogs between her and Sora, showing more about both of them separately and in relation to each other.

This keeps me hopeful about BBS seeing how apparently it's the same person writing it, from what I've heard :3
Meaning Aqua might not be a horrible female character XD

As for Days, I'm hopeful, and praying for another scenario at the end. Seeing how TWEWY also has something of the sort, I'm not putting them beyond it, and seeing how that sort of act seems to be common for SE Nomura-related games, it adds up with the console XD

That is a pretty valid assertion Suffering Angel. These were my exact thoughts, but I merely didn't feel like verbalizing them. Character development is strongest in this game. The Organization actually felt sinister and a dangerous threat. Axel's overall character was better refined than his Kingdom Hearts II counterpart. The internal struggle between Riku/Xehanort and his fear of darkness if better presented as well. You're right, I hope BBS offers the same experience as the prior two. Hopefully it melds the "epic" feel of KH1's plot along with COM's character development.

I think we can half-safely assume it does.
I mean, Aqua Vs. Maleficent? As epic as it gets.
Throw in three characters hopping between worlds and I think the effect is guaranteed.

I have to wonder what atmosphere Days' mission orientation would wield though. :\

Metal Gear?!
Graphics do matter, to an extent.
I'm not going to play a shitty looking game.

Because thats totally something they'd allow to happen?

Yeah.No.

So why did you play CoM, or didn't you?

Anyways, the pic of Roxas and Saix was from a magazine, of course it didn't look as good.

Me niether, if it has good gameplay and stuff but lacks the look, then it just doesnt come out as a good game... (btw, Bernie Mac died today, -sad face-)

Some of the greatest games of all time looked like this:

If you would disregard them because of their graphics, then you're an incredibly shallow gamer.
