i sleep alot, so i dream alot. though, some of my dreams feel more real then others. the ones that do feel more real than others usually happen, usually metaphorically, but once or twice, they have happened litarally. i already mentioned here quite a few times my dream about sara and a car crash, and it happened metaphorically. in one dream she was responsible for a car crash into a wall, and in the other i was responsible. in the end of both she crawled toward me and i dissapeared with a smile. well our friendship hit a wall hard because she just doesn't want to talk to me(her crashing it) and well i just give up on her(my crash). she hasen't really tried to "crawl towards me", but i know when she does that i just won't be there for her. i'm generally a nice person but when someone won't just tell me that they don't want to talk to me, and get someone else to do it for them, i just quit on them, there were other dreams that came true but i'd rather not get into them. that is just the introduction to the real matter at hand, so the summary is i have weird preminitions sometimes

well 4 nights ago i had this dream that felt like one of the realistic preminitions. i saw a girl, the most beautiful girl i have ever seen, she looked alittle older then me, and she was dancing in the snow. i figured it was just a realistic sub-concious thought of perfection. the dance was one of happiness, like she never saw the snow before. all the snow was white and as pure as imagionable. just a sub-concious thought of perfection, no. my friend john who is usually over my house was talking to one of his friends who sent him a picture of a girl he was trying to get with. it was her from the dreams. that was 2 days ago, so it was after i had that dream. now i'm obsessing over why i got that dream, what it could mean(if anything), and who she is.

if anyone has any ideas of what i should, any past experiance like it, or just want to call me an idiot for obssesing over my dreams, any feedback would be great

I don't really know how to help the situation. I think it's impossible for anyone to know why you could have seen the girl, it could just have been some random coincidence... I've had dreams of meeting a random old schoolmate and then my mom run into the that old schoolmate the same day.
If you are really into this psychic stuff you could be picking up the vibes from you're friend about the girl. Sometimes i think dreams are connected to people we are close to (or some how related)... i know one time my sister and i had the same dream...

Other than that if dreams are really bothering you, you could practice lucid dreaming to change them. I used to have a lot of nightmeres and i got good and going lucid in them to change the outcome... there's a lot of ways on the internet that show you how to start to try to go lucid, sometimes just looking at you're hands in the dream helps. (me anyway)

my friend doesn't know the girl, it's his friend so i couldn't have been picking up vibes or anything since i never met the guy who knows the girl

as for lucid dreaming, i can do that from time to time, but the reason the dreams feel so real is because i feel like i have control and like it is one of them dreams, but then i realize that i was help-less to do anything or think anything in the dream

Yeah i kinda thought it would be too hard to lucid during what you were explaining...
I guess it is kind of a long shot if its a friend of a friend...
If you're lucky it could be some sort of precognition lol

but yeah i think if you have never met her... the dream could be unavailing.

sorry im kind of useless but i just think dreams are intresting... :p

i wouldn't call you useless, you actually taking it seriously is very helpful since i just really need to talk about it and i only have one person i can talk to about this stuff, but i haven't seen him since i had the dream, so i didn't mention it since i just thought it was my sub-consious mind's take on perfection. now that i saw the picture i need to get his opinion so i'm going to try to see him tommorow

Trying to escape the land of idiots and retards
I have moments like that too. But they're never metophorical. (or maybe they are, I'm probably just too dumb to think of it that way :D) But I never have dreams that help me. Just random dreams that don't make sense. The realistic ones are things that really happen. One time, many of my dreams came true in one week. I had a de ja vu moment about once or twice a day! They were little things like looking up at the ceiling, yelling at my brother X3 things like that. I've had dreams and then they came true 5 years later. As for the dream. It's hard to say what thats about... I'm looking on a dream site. they might have something :D

...
Okay, here's a list of all the things in your dream and what they're supposed to mean. Aren't I awesome? :D

~Snow~
Psychological Meaning: Snow can indicate frozen emotions but can also symbolise transformation and purification. Clean pure snow can represent a fresh start. Melting snow can indicate that obstacles and fears are dissolving whereas an avalanche of snow can indicate that you fear being overwhelmed by emotions that have been held in check for too long. Are you ‘cold’ and lacking warmth?

And here's another one for snow. I like this one better.

To see snow in your dream, signifies your inhibitions, repressed/unexpressed emotions and feelings of frigidity. You need to release and express these emotions and inhibitions. You may also be feeling indifferent, alone and neglected. If the snow is melting then it suggests that you are acknowledging and releasing those emotions you have repressed. You are overcoming your fears and obstacles.

To see dirty snow in your dream, refers to a loss in innocence, impurity and uncleanness. Some aspect of yourself or situation has been tainted.

To dream that you are watching the snow fall, represents a clean start and a fresh, new perspective. It is indicative of spiritual peace and tranquility.

To dream that you are playing in the snow, indicates that you need to set some time for fun and relaxation.

To dream that you find something in the snow, suggests that you are exploring and accessing your unused potential, abilities, and talents. You have uncovered some hidden talent and ability within yourself. It may also indicate forgiving yourself or others.

Mystical Meaning: To dream of watching falling snow indicates that a letter will arrive shortly. Some superstitions claim it will be from the person you will marry. The truth is that most oracles consider this dream to be one of good luck.

~Dancing~
Psychological Meaning: Dance is usually a celebratory activity and something we do when we feel happy. This dream may therefore indicate that you feel pleased about the way a situation is progressing at the moment. You may feel a sense of freedom from constraining influences. Other things may also be expressed by dance: For example, if you dance with another person, this intimacy can represent sexual intercourse. A man and woman dancing together may show the union of the masculine and feminine aspects of your personality

Mystical Meaning: To dream of dancing can be a mystical symbol. It can, for example, represent the eternal dance of the Hindu god Shiva who symbolises the eternal movement of time and the powers of creation and destruction.

~Girls~
(I doubt this applies since it's a real girl who your not involved with in any way. It probably just has to do with her. But I figured I'd add it anyway :D)
To see a girl in your dream, represents your playful, innocent, and childlike nature. Perhaps you have been behaving immaturely.

To dream about a girl that you just met, represents your anxieties and thoughts of whether you had made a good impression on her and what she thought of you. If she told you that she disliked you in the dream, then it may be an excuse for you to dismiss her and not pursue a relationship that is beyond friendship.

For a man to dream that he is a girl, signifies that he aspires to be an actor and play female parts.

...

Well, there you have it. Put it together however you see fit because I'm lazy right now :D. maybe tomorrow I'll come of with an awesome theory but right now I'm tired and I'm supposed to wake up in three hours. So talk to you later! :D

yes you are, thanks for that list. i thought that the snow was for something pure, but the lack of emotions does make as much sence if not more. also the fresh start seems plausible in some odd sort of way

as for the dance, it was one that i recognize but don't know how, since i've never really seen it before

and to the last part it doesn't really apply but thank you for throughing it in anyway

I used to have dreams like this.
But you think this is robbing you of your sanity?
I havs dreams that completly contradict my "awake" self, yet when I'm asleep, I don't even hesitate to do what i didn't think i ever wanted.
It's like in my dreams, I do the opposite of myself, or who i thought i was.
I thought it was nothing @ first, but now i feel it when I'm awake.
I'm losing my sense of self because of my dreams.
But anyway, you must meet this girl & watch her. She'll teach you something no one else can, she'll be important, even if only for a moment, so don't let the moment slip away.

one thing that i probably should have mentioned that regarded the dream is that the girl in the dream looked like 2 different people. the one that i mentioned that i don't know, and my baby's mother. i refuse to accept that i'm having happy dreams about her, but it would make alot more sence that it is her. that is the true reason i'm going crazy over this dream

Take so much sleeping medication ( hint hint ) that you're too - erm, tired - to dream? Dream whilst sleeping, that is. =)

Or you could always try a dream translator. A real one. Not one of those cheap fake things. Or, of course, a counselor or dream specialist. Whatever. <3

Really, I'm not one to talk to about sanity. Nevertheless.

YOUR LIFE IS NOT AN ANIME

YOUR LIFE IS NOT AN ANIME

YOUR LIFE IS NOT AN ANIME

/thread

I'd like to emphasize this point.

I'd also like to point out that over time, our memories and recollections change. Two days is a pretty long time to remember the exact details of your dream- no matter how vivid it still feels. The girl from you dream probably looked similar to the one from the picture and your mind just made a connection. It likes to do funny stuff like that sometimes.

Don't worry, lovey, you're not unique or different. No psychic powers for you. :]

Really, dreams, even if you know they are not from past experiences, are links to something. I have dreams that can possibly have to do with an actual physical experience, but are something from a story I'm writing, or possibly, thoughts I haven't yet put together about my story yet. Hell, alot of my story Idea are set off from dreams, with a bit of tweaking. So, most likely, this is some kind of thought, or maybe, you have seen a girl like this somewhere, but are to old now to remember or you could just have only looks briefly and not made a big deal about, seeing her only with the corner of your eye.

i've had the dream every night this week. it only last 7 seconds before my concious mind steps in and wakes me up. the girl in the dream reminds me of 2 different people, the one i never met before and my baby's mother. the reason i like to think it's the person i never met before, is because i hate to accept the fact that i'm having happy dreams about my baby's mother. now i have accepted it though and i get what my mind is trying to tell me. the snow for the lack of emotions and for a fresh start, the dancing for the happieness, and my baby's mother to tie it all together. my sub-concious mind is telling me that the only way i'll get over this emotionless life that i've been living since she moved out, is to have a fresh start with her. that is the only way i'll be happy again. so now i'm going even crazier because of that constantly occouring dream, since i know what it's about. also i know that she still has feelings for me(when i realized the meaning of the dream, i started talking to her again and not just to arrange when i was picking up nicole and when i was dropping her off. which talking to her did help me feel happieness so it is what the dream meant) so now i'm debating on whether i should try to get back with her and feel emotions, good and bad, or if i should stay living this numb inside. this isn't a hard dessicion for me.

I don't think it would be hard to lucid seeing its a reoccurring dream. Force yourself to see dream signs.

From what you say, if you keep having bad dreams it could be that your third eye chakra could be out of balance. (Don't think I'm crazy) There are techniques that you can use to put it back into balance.

i already said that lucid doesn't work. my sub-conciese mind shuts down when my conciense mind tries to interfere. i know what my sub-conciese mind is trying to tell me so i decided to act on that. i haven't slept since i did what i did, so i'll find out tonight if it worked or not
