I'm guessing it will happen eventually. But they're putting the WiiU up front now. Announcing something like that would take the spotlight away from the WiiU so they're probably waiting with an announcement for that. That's my guess.

I really like the design. And wow they even added extended battery life and a protective case all together.

Yeah, I mean I'm sure it will eventually too. Honestly its too early in the 3DS's life span to be releasing a new version. I'm sure a lot of people would complain about it.

Why it's already been a year since the 3DS released and there is the circle pad pro so original owners shouldn't complain. Also you Nintendo likes to be the 2nd apple and release revisions every year. The people who complain will just buy another one anyway ala apple and it's iphones/ipads

Yeah because the redesign is inevitable, I'm just kind of disappointed Nintendo didn't think of this before releasing the 3DS in the first place -__-

That's a gripe I'm going to have with Nintendo for a long time, but it seems like they rushed the release of the 3DS.

I don't know why they did it, not only was it "not complete" but the launch lineup was clearly not up to par so I have no idea what Nintendo was thinking, and then the price drop occurred as a result, screwing over first-day buyers (I do not believe the Ambassador Program was enough to justify the price drop, especially since all those games can easily be emulated on any computer).

I feel as though Nintendo was desperate to get the jump on Sony, so they rushed the 3DS. I'm very glad I didn't buy a 3DS at launch because of how large that price drop was.

Yeah, I'm just kind of upset that the KH 3DS is in that form because if I import it...I would rather have a complete product thank you very much. I don't know if Nintendo saw the CPP as DLC or something, but that doesn't apply to consoles -__- Plus, I have a feeling that IF they do release a new model soon, it won't be as much as the starting price for the 3DS because the saw how much the 3DS did after the price drop, so I'm certain they'll charge higher than the current 3DS price, but not back up to its original $250, in which case 1st-time buyers (AKA the dedicated fans) got screwed big time.
