What is intresting is she seems to have 0 Aqua resemblance, other than the hair.
I guess they aren't connected after all.

Aqua has a similar hair style to that too.
And all teen KH characters have the same face.
So, yes, there is Aqua resemblance in Kairi.

Honestly, her hair colour and style looks like a hybrid of Kairi (KH1) and Aqua.

I wish the Aqua pic was bigger, but this was the best i could find.
And i was wrong, it seems (at least with the artist rendition) that Aqua's hair is pretty much the exact same shade as Xion's.
But i still think it is a mix of the styles.
