Does Nomura have this series planned out

I agree, I don't think he really knows what to do until the game starts going into development and ideas are given to him.

Its gotta be more than one person. Maybe other people tell them their ideas and he includes them in. Also I'm pretty sure that some fans have helped.

Yeah, and with his final decision he could add his own twists to the story. So that's probably how he creates the plot.

that's is a very effective way to create such a story since you have so many resources and so many people to help create one perfect story line.

For the most part Nomura makes the ideas himself. He does takes hints or suggestions from others at times and he certainly doesn't write down every bit of script but the basic ideas are definitely his.

He's writing as he goes. And it's really annoying. It means we're not going to get the ending these characters deserve, he's just going to work out what seems coolest in the moment. It's like fan fiction. DDD made me realize that.

You're right. Some things were planned and others were not. And the story would DEFINITELY have benefited if the first game had been made with a long future planned. Everything would've seemed less disjointed.
