Does Disney own the rights of all Original KH characters??

i been hearing from people that Disney owns all original (non-final fantasy) Kingdom Hearts characters


so disney owns sora, roxas, riku, kairi, namine, ansem the wise, terra, aqua, ventus, axel ORG XIII members and etc etc...

i heard one of the aspects of the deal for kingdom hearts between square and disney.........was that disney would let its characters be in the game, in exchange of the rights of all original KH characters.... i dont know if that is true or something similar to it, but thats what i heard....


is this true...

Un-true. Tetsuya Nomura designed most, if not all KH and FF original characters that appear in the series.

designing doesn't mean you automatically own that character

walt disney created oswald the lucky rabbit... but universal owned the character (said in the contract), recently disney got him back ... but my point is.. yes nomura designed them, but that doesn't technically mean ownership of the characters....
