From lots of fansites it says it's gonna have 2 disks. I'm all for them, that means KH2 will be longer than KH! ^_^

It's not a matter of "Do you think?", it's a definate yes!

KH2 is twice as big as KH and due to the PS2's problem of not properly being able to read duel-layered discs, they've decided to put it on two discs.

This is old news.

Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes had two discs, as did Shadow Hearts: Covenant, Armored Core: Nexus, Xenosaga Episode II: Jenseits von Gut und Böse, and so forth. With the exception of Shadow Hearts II (Covenant), those games were not longer than Kingdom Hearts. (Xenosaga II was about even.) Judging from the series thus far, we could probably expect at least 30 hours of game play, since both KH and COM took between 20 and 30 hours to complete on average.

But anyway, while I don't like to believe things I can't see for myself, with the sudden rise of two-disc games that probably could fit onto one disc, I wouldn't be surprised if Kingdom Hearts II followed them. It would be tricky, though, because you wouldn't want to have to swap discs to go to an older world or anything. On the bright side, they could then add a movie/music theater to the game as little bonus. Shadow Hearts II had something like that, and I for one enjoyed being able to watch cutscenes (and essentially the entire storyline) over again without having to play through the game again or keeping multiple game saves.

I think that it will be two discs, but that doesn't exactly mean twice as long. They would be two single layer discs, which means the equivilant of one dual layered disc. This just ensures that we won't have any problems playing it, and more space, but not 2x..

I didn't mean that as if they would it's just a question they asked Nomura awhile ago on ff7.net...I think
He said it was possibe but it wouldn't likely happen.
Since there are rigid rules he and his team has to follow when messing with the Disney worlds it would be tough.
Plus Kingdom Hearts has to end some time.
He did say making a game like that would be interesting.
In other words its just him toying with us.

Is been confirmed that is goin to two disc:

Quoute from KH2.net

The latest issue of multi-format magazine, Dorimaga, features an interview with Square Enix's Tetsuya Nomura. Below are few notes on what Nomura said regarding Kingdom Hearts 2:

- The game is already twice as big as the first, and will likely come on 2 single-layer DVDs rather than 1 dual-layer disc.
- Many new Disney characters have been added as well as new worlds.
- Sora's motions have all been recaptured to reflect how much he has matured since the first game.

No, it is happening. This is old news. KH2 WILL be 2 discs.

The game is twice as big (space wise) so they've had to put it on two single-layered discs. And no, it's most likely not a DMC2 type set up.(As in one disc is Sora and the other is BHK.)

Dlackdragon, if that is true, the game could go as long as final fantasy! That would be awsome. But yeah, the 2 disk thing is old news, we've known this for a LONG time.

Sora's 'legacy' will probably end in KH3 and then a new char takes over. But you can bet that there will be connections between them. Cool, plot-twisting connections.

One problem. A new character can't take over the Kh series. Nomura stated that the Kingdom Hearts series was "Sora's Story" which means now one else can take over that game. That would make what he said a lie.

There could be two disks, I think there will be.^^ This game is suppose to be longer than the last.
But, ya never know, it could still be one disk. Nomura always has ways of surprising us.^^

Heres proof that they may not keep sora throughout KH series dont beileve me go to techtv.com and on the search type in tetsuya nomura and click the one that Tetsuya Nomura on the 'Kingdom Hearts' sequels then scroll down to pic of BHK and AXEL fight Nomura: In the "Final Fantasy" series each installment has had a new set of characters and a new story, which keeps it going. But in "Kingdom Hearts" Sora is the main character. So obviously, with us only playing as one main character in this series, keeping that character alive and interesting will be a challenge. For every character there must be an end, although I don't know when or what the end of Sora's journey will be. In the future, sometime, there might be an end, but for now I will continue to explore Sora and his story. that passage starting with nomura in bold explains it. this is for sealightbreeze.
