The crisis over Shiki was going to go back to her friends. She had turned around and everything. But then she heard it, yelling from the other side of the car she was currently on. So with a sigh Shiki let her curious nature take over and she crossed over to where the voices were coming from. Three boys...wait...two boys and a girl who LOOKED like a boy. Shiki raised an eyebrow. The hell?
"I'm a guy; born a male, always a male." a small pause "Hey, I'd even show you, but you know how awkward that gets." the "boy" was glaring daggers at the man in front of her.
"I'd be damned if I hear another person say that!"
Shiki snorted and got closer, examination finished. Who did this chick think she was fooling?
Shiki could read people very easily. It was a useful habit she'd picked up while being best friends with Timmy. The boy had a IRRITATING tendency to hide his real feelings behind a cheerful mask. If Shiki didn't learn how to tell when he was being....less than honest....then she'd probably never know when something was bothering him! As such, the girl had more than enough practice when it came to reading people. Hell she could now know exactly what Timmy himself was feeling simply by looking into his eyes, no matter how hard he tried to hide. But that was just because they were best friends.

THIS kid for starters, compared to Timmy, was an open book. As Shiki observed her glaring at the man she noticed a flicker of fear behind the anger. Clearly she'd been found out and was afraid for some reason. On top of that Shiki herself was a girl and girls weren't stupid. They knew how to find their own. While this particular girl DID look more masculine than most (if Timmy ever met her he'd never ever know the difference) and was wearing a jacket (and for all she knew heavier clothes) that hid whatever curves she might have, for any girl that wasn't a complete airhead it was clear what her gender was after a few good looks. But now she was interested in whatever it was that this girl had to hide (Aaron had always said her curiosity would be the end of her) so Shiki walked over to them and decided to play dumb.
"Its pretty clear this kid is a boy dude" she said with a shrug and a condescending glance in the man's direction "that was pretty rude of you"
Judging by her vibrating pocket, either Timmy was finally awake or Aaron was out of the bathroom. Good. Neither would be able to tell that this girl was pretending to be something she's not so it would be far easier to play dumb if she followed their lead when they got there.
She smiled at the "boy"
"I'm Shiki" she said "nice to meet you"

Damn, I must look pretty dumb...standing underneath a hole some lunatic made and considering going up there. Fina stated mentally, sighing a little as she started to turn and go back to her seat. She caught somone looking at her. Fina glanced back at the....girl? She wasn't sure, but she looked slightly feminine, but still... Okay then.... Fina turned back to the hole, her curiousity rising to a high rate. She looked back, just wondering if her dumb fiance' was watching her.

And he was, unfortunately. His eyes piercing and worried, yet Fina saw something in his eyes. Alost like a burning anger. At that moment, she felt like falling on the floor and dying of laughter. She loved to make him mad and this was one of the rare times she saw him angry. He patted the seat, mouthing the words Come sit!, trying to stop twitching. She felt for her violin case...where was it?

With a sigh, she glanced back at him. "No use in getting it now.... I just hope this guy won't kill me." she muttered half-heartedly. She asked the person behind her, who also gaped at the hole, to stand up. The person nodded and stood, watching her the whole time she stood on the seat, made sure her boots didn't get caught, and leaped up with surprising height. She grabbed on to the sides of the crudely made hole and pulled herself up into the air.

 

[Xeon{Myroku}]

Xeon had dozed off when his alarm suddenly went off. He woke up from the sound of it to see the time.

"Ack! I'm gonna miss my trip!" he said suddenly. He had forgotten that he was suppose get on the train to go to godfathers birthday and he promised to come to visit. Unfortunately his godfather lived on the countryside and the only way to get there was by train. He had already called up his godfather to pick him up at the station. He set his alarm thirty minutes before the train arrives at the station. He had his things packed up last night into a two suitcases set up next to the door.

He rushed to picked them up, before he headed out the door he thought about his sword training, so he picked up the sword and put it in an old guitar case then he ran out the door of his apartment, locking it behind him. After running the elevator and hailing a taxi outside he sighed heavily from the sudden rush he went through. The driver asked him where he was heading and he told him to drop him off at the station.

He had his ticket with him in his hand and kept an eye on the meter to make sure his cab fair doesn't go above $50.00. After a few red lights and a couple of detours from the constructions happening around in Chicago they finally came down to the station.

"Okay that will be $43.50 sir." the driver said. Xeon picked through his pocket to give the driver the $50.00's he had on him. "Here you are, keep the change." And he exited the cab and went through the station gates. It was only 15 minutes before the train arrive so Xeon just picked up a seat to sit down in and placed his luggage right next to him.

"Maybe some away time from here would do me some good. It'll be nice to see my other family for once. I wonder if Mary got her braces removed yet, it's been two years since I last saw her. I hope Janice makes her delicious apple pies like last time. Those I missed the most." Xeon sat their fantazing his old life with his foster family.

They live on the country side of course with a few animals about such as horses, chickens, and cows but it didn't mean they weren't caught up with modern day society. His godfather Chris worked both on the farm but also was a vet too for all sorts of animals. His godmother Janice worked as a cook who sold her foods as a part time catourier, most of that being her apple pies. They only had one kid who was Xeon's godsister, Mary. She was smart at a young age and has been studying to be a vet like her father. Last he saw her she was fifteen years old. He would see them often but his life in the city has been get complicating and he doesn't feel like spending his savings on a train ticket for every holiday or birthday.

He checked his watch and only a minute passed.

Race was rather amused to say the least. Here he thought that most girls with inferiority complexes admitted to being girls, but hated certain characteristics about their bodies. For example, most girls think that their breasts are too small or that their thighs are too large. But here this one seems to hate the fact that she's girl period. With that clarification out of the way, Race is forced to do something he hasn't done in ages. He holds up his hands as a sign of defeat with the appearance of the second girl, this one rather cute herself, but make it known that it's a feint. His right hand slices through the air with ease only to land on the chest of the disguised girl. Just as he thought. It was soft.

"Your mouth says one thing while your body says another."

He casually removes his hand and looks to the other girl. He quickly burns her name and image into his mind for future references but then looks back to the original girl, no doubt mad at his actions. "You really should embrace that lovely second chromosome of yours. The pair has given you quite the lovely template to work with. But seeing as how your gender seems to bother you so much, I'll not reveal your secret to anyone else other than Shiki here who apparently knows through her own methods. But keep this in mind. I can tell the gender of anyone by smell alone. It's faint, but you have the type of smell that not even men just crawling out of an orgy with twenty women would have. And trust me on that one. I've met a guy right after he did something like that. He still had that smell of a man."

With that he continues his walk down the aisle and waves briefly to the two girls. "I'll see you two again. I have this strange feeling that we are fated to meet again." With that he vanishes into the nearest water closet and locks the door. There he proceeds to empty his bladder.

It was then that a girl appeared, defending Alex's gender. She wondered whether the girl really meant what she said, but Alex brightened up when Shiki introduced herself. "Alex," She grinned. "Great to meet you too."

Then the man holds up his hands, appearing to back away. Just as Alex decided to relax in relief and smile from the fact that her disguise wasn't blown, she noticed the man's hand going down and being placed on her chest, feeling her. She looked down at his hand, shocked.

"Your mouth says one thing while your body says another."

She shook, unnoticed, as she felt warmth rise in her cheeks. She then looked up at him, her eyes wide and terribly upset. Even if she was disguised as a boy, she felt violated. Of course, she was always a girl, though not by appearances. She always dressed as a boy, but she had feelings of a girl. And this was the first time she was ever touched this way, by a man no less. She gritted her teeth, a storm brewing in her eyes.

She was so close to punching his guts out. Even if he knew her secret, and promised not to tell others, and even if Shiki knew as well, she clenched her fists. That's sexual harassment, damn it! She thought madly in her mind, careful not to reveal anything.

"I'll see you two again. I have this strange feeling that we are fated to meet again."

Poppycock, she thought. They would never meet again. Fine, let him believe she is female. They're mere strangers, they'll never meet again. The chances of her life being ruined by him would be zero. Idiot pervert, she thought as she glared daggers at his back as he walked to the nearest washroom and stuck her tongue out at him.

Golden eyes scanned the passengers, noting tiny details, noting all the wrongs and rights about them. There was a crying baby in the corner and it's worried mother was trying to shush it while acting calm. But he notice the frenzied look in her eyes, her pupils dialated from worry and exasperation. He moved on to the next one, a woman and a man, sitting close together. For some reason, it looked like there was a dark cloak or some kind of dark fog surrounding the woman, who was bent over, crying.

Henry scratched his neck, rubbing at the stubble on his chin. He needed to shave -- bad. He liked the hair on his face, but not when it became rough and noticable. He noted that he'd do that later when they reached their destenation. Meanwhile, he'd have to stay on this train -- and wait. Since that stupid boy caused such a commotion on the train and he'd made a rather large hole which some woman had just climbed through... Henry wanted off.

But that'd be later...much later.

 

[Abhorsen]

Nick awoke after a random fall asleep, he had been on the move a lot lately. Yawning he looked around blinking a few times. It was then he noticed some girl hoisting herself through a hole in the roof....*mmmk that is a bit strange* thought Nick dismissing it almost immediately. He needed some food, trouble was he had little money on hand. He had been paid half on his last job, *that damn skiddish Politician* As the food cart rolled by Nick asked what the meal they were serving was, 'chicken and rice' was the reply. ehhh, what else you got on there? 'well there are some cold cut sandwiches and a couple of candybars, and drinks too -wispers- we also have other stuff that is erhmm hard to come by'

"what you got?"

The cart vendor slips Nick a card as she hands him a cold cut sandwich and a water. Nick smiled and nodded. As she moved on Nick read the card, it read ' For your -Special- needs' it went on to read 'Go to the fifth car and knock three times in rapid succession'
Nick smiled, this was either a escort type offer or it was drugs. Either sounded kinda good. He was gonna go check it out after his food.. that he was given for free!! That made Nicks day. Nick finished his food and water and walked back to the fifth car. He did as the card said and knocked thrice in rapid succession. The door opened and Nick went inside................

"Alex," the kid grinned. "Great to meet you too."
Shiki smiled back as the man held up his hands and backed away. Said smile faded as the man put his hand on the Alex's chest.
Alex looked down at the hand in shock as Shiki whistled "SOMEONE'S pretty forward" she remarked "At least buy her dinner first" she narrowed her eyes at the pervert and was about to threaten him when he spoke
"Your mouth says one thing while your body says another."
Alex responded to THAT with wide and upset eyes. 'Which' Shiki thought with slight amusement 'Adds onto my 'your really a girl' argument'. Well unless you just REALLY don't like your chest touched. Although I didn't think boys really minded that too much.....well then again having your chest touched by another guy would be, in Timmy's words, totally gay. hmm'
Alex's eyes started to blaze with anger, which broke Shiki out of her musings as she watched the scene. Was there going to be a fight?

"I'll not reveal your secret to anyone else other than Shiki here who apparently knows through her own methods..."
"oh come ON" groaned Shiki "and here I was pretending not to know....gah Alex's isn't the only cover you've blown. Jerk!"
"I'll see you two again. I have this strange feeling that we are fated to meet again."
"hmph" Shiki huffed "Touch MY chest like that and I'll kick you ass! Well if Aaron doesn't first"
'he's oddly protective like that.....'

She glanced back at Alex who was busy glaring daggers at his back as he walked to the nearest bathroom. She was even sticking her tounge out!
"Shiki!!!"
The redhead turned around to see a brown haired boy in a brown jacket, jeans and boots walk towards her. An african american boy at his side.
"Hey Aaron" Shiki waved "Timmy"
She looked over at Alex "These are my friends. Aaron's the one in the brown and Timmy's the one next to him carrying the tie dye jacket.....and if you got drool on it I will KILL you" she added to Timmy.
He chuckled "Hey I was using it as a blanket not a pillow!"
Shiki rolled her eyes "Still..."
"Who's that guy?" Aaron asked, pointing at Alex with oddly icy eyes and stiff tone of voice. Shiki fought the urge to roll her eyes for what was probably the fourth time that day. Aaron and his jealousy. Timmy noticed too.
"Hi there" he said scooting over to the two girls and handing Shiki her jacket "I'm Timmy! Don't mind Aaron" he said and this smirked at his friend "He's always hostile towards guys who talk to Shiki. or guys who Shiki talks to....or guys that sneeze near Shiki....or guys who look in her general direction.....basically if your a guy and in the same room as Shiki Aaron just won't like you"
"Its like a sickness" Shiki chipped in helpfully


Aaron let out a 'humph!' sound but didn't deny it.
"The food cart is getting closer" Shiki said as the boys fell silent "Wanna eat lunch with us Alex?"

Race turns off the water using several of the pathetic paper towels with a smile and finishes drying his hands with the paper and by flinging them from side-to-side. With his body now feeling better he opens the door only to notice that two others have joined the two girls from before. He quickly judges the situation and notices how the girl named Shiki seems to be rather familiar with the two new people. He nods for a reason unknown even to himself but hears one of them mention something about food. This quickly catches his attention so he looks around for the food cart only to notice it stopped next to some other guy. After the woman and the guy both converse a little, the man stands up and begins to walk down the hall only to pass by Race and into another car.

"Now this I've got to see. What man would pass up food, no matter how horrible it is, from such a pretty woman?"

With his mind set into place he closes the door to the bathroom behind him and waits just enough to make sure that there is some good distance between himself and the other man. At this moment Race flexes the muscles in his legs just enough to tell the exact location of the daggers only to remember that he strapped them in. With that he begins to walk at a near identical pace as the man that just passed him but stops when the man opens the door. He attempts to get a quick look into the room, but nothing seems out of place. Race finally shrugs and figures that it's probably nothing, and boy is he wrong about that, but still decides to walk into the room after the man.

 

[Abhorsen]

As Nick entered the car he saw a table in the middle of the room with the word sit on the chair. Nick walked over to the chair and sat down. After a few minutes four men appeared at the back door of the car with a large bag. The one in front sat across from Nick while the three others stood spread across the car.one by each door and the last by his boss. No words were exchanged just a note. The note was slid from one side of the table to the other into Nicks hands. It read:

"I have heard of your work, and I am in need of your... 'expertise'. In the bag are some.. things, all for you also there is a address to a safe house wher eyou can stay any time free of charge. All I ask is that you kill a Mr. Gaoto. He is a evil man see and he has dipped his cop nose into my affairs a bit too deep. Do this and the contents of the bag and within reason anything wlse you want is yours.
Fail, and I will kill you myself."

Nick picked up the bag and walked out the back door.without so much as a word the only exchange of language was a nod in the mans direction from Nick and a serious stare from the lackey as he handed Nick two Uzi's and another small bag of ammo as he stepped through the door and onto the roof towards his box car to go over his new mission.......

Alex was about to thank Shiki for defending her, when two guys who appeared to be Shiki's friends came. Alex grinned. They seemed like close friends, and that was something she envied. She never had close friends.

"Who's that guy?" One of them asked with a hostile tone. Alex quirked her eyebrow. Jealous, much? She thought.

"Hi there," The other says. "I'm Timmy! Don't mind Aaron." And he explains how Aaron's usually jealous of guys who get to know Shiki.

Alex smiled at Timmy. "Name's Alex, great to meet you two. And sure, I'm kind of hungry too." She looked back at her brother, who was still asleep. She shrugged. She'll just let him know when she sees him again. Then again, they didn't need to keep an eye on each other now that they're supposed to be 'independent', like her father had said.

She notices the man who gets up from his seat the moment he finishes talking to the lady handling the food cart. It was a little strange, because the action seemed so sudden, as if there was something going on. But it wasn't Alex's business, and she wasn't going to pry into some boring stuff, unless a fight broke out just like the previous one.

Alex looked at the other three beside her. "Let's get some food then."
