Well Kain is already confirmed, but it's not because they want something in that it also gets in. Gilgamesh was considered for the first one. Though stuff that got nixed for the first can get a chance in the sequel, so there's a good chance for Gil.

Well firstly, the psp is already out, unlike the 3DS, so they can actually make the game for it. They will probably re use a lot of things from the original speeding up the development time. Secondly, they will attract fans of the first, because they will already own a psp. Finally, it wouldnt actually be any better on the 3DS apart from the 3D, which wouldn't be that great anyway.

Well, A 3DS has at least 2GB cards, and an UMD has 1.8 GB, so more characters cold be put in, Square-Enix already has the 3DS' developement Kit, and the 3ds has the same amount of buttons that those on the PSP, meaning that they wouldn't need to start from zero, since Some things can be ported.

And the first game started on PSP. It'd be logical to keep it on it if the last game only came out a year ago.

By the way, this is just making this year's TGS so much more fcking awesome.

This was a pleasant surprise. Kain will definitely be awesome to play as. I wonder IF they'll have all the characters from the first one too, or if some are being replaced. Here's to Luneth instead of onion knight.

Just because the 3DS isn't out yet doesn't mean anything. TWEWY was being worked on as soon as the DS was announced. Not that I care about any of that. I didn't play the first one, so I may check this one out.

but that's not the case for the new dissidia game. it's already announced for PSP, and TWEWY was a one-shot game, while dissidia is turning into a series....so, the comparison isn't creditable. if it was announced for 3ds when this info came out, then yes.

beside that, 3DS fans should cool down. not everything is going on 3ds.

I should also point out Kain's screenshot has him fighting against paladin Cecil, so maybe more then one per a series can be in the game?
