Bound by a shared destiny, a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity and a former boy-genius inventor jaded by disillusionment embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space that exists in their collective memory as “Tomorrowland.”

“Tomorrowland” will be released through Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures on December 12, 2014.

MOVIES: Production begins on Disney's Tomorrowland -

The film is directed, produced and co-written by two-time Oscar® winner Brad Bird.

The cast so far: George Clooney as Frank Walker, a grizzled inventor, Hugh Laurie as David Nix, the film's antagonist, Britt Robertson as Casey Newton, the film's heroine, Raffey Cassidy as Athena, a robot, Thomas Robinson as a character who is described by insiders as “pivotal.”

Tomorrowland. Sounds interesting. I wonder how they'll animated the whole trip into space. CGI or normal cartoon? Maybe CGI, but I hope it'll be drawn by Pixar.

I wouldn't be surprised if it were live action, since this doesn't seem like a story exclusive to animation and Brad Bird is coming off MI4.

Edit: Thought so. So this is what happened to "1952"

I'm surprised Space Mountain hasn't had it's own film yet.
