Destiny Islands would have been so cool to visit in Kingdom Hearts 2 as a secret world where you could fight some powerful heartless i.e. Kurt Zisa of KH1. Looking at this hack brings back some nostalgia feels.

Where would it have gone in the remix? Sora doesn't go home until the end of the game. I guess it could have happened in birth by Sleep, but from a gameplay perspective it's not as exciting and breaks up the flow of the narrative.

I think he means just an additional world to explore, no new story or anything, just an extra place for some more extra mini bosses and extra items.

Sadly, I agree. The minigames ranged from meh (Rumble Racing) to bleh (Fruitball) to WTF were they thinking (Ice Cream Beat).

At least with Destiny Islands, we might have actually explored the town for once...
