In KH1, the Disney worlds actually had something to do with the main plot.
In KH2, most of the Disney worlds had absolutely nothing to do with the main plot except the Organization members popping up randomly.

Like my friend said to me a couple of days ago:

KH1 had too much fighting, not enough cutscenes.
KH2 had too many cutscenes, not enough fighting.

KH2 needed more puzzles and more Disney world connection to the plot. Also, Pete and Maleficent seemed so unimportant even though they were introduced to the plot. Actually, most of what was introduced to the plot was unimportant. YRP, DTD, and even the Heartless were pointless. Kingdom Hearts was pointless as well. "I WANT MY HEART. KINGDOM HEARTS!" Hmmm, I didn't know Kingdom Hearts had a whole world and big pointless machine inside of you!

That was pointless. -go inside of KH, chop up some buildings, fight some random Nobodies I have never seen except when I was on the gummy ship, blow up a random engine or two, do battle with a wall, and fight Xemnas in some random armor and find out he can use the other Org members abilities and weapons- Though now the armor isn't so random since BBS is in the picture. It just further makes the connection.

Even though KH1 was harder, it was much more fun. It gave a kid a challenge to solve, and seemly more places to explore. I miss swinging on vines, fighting a shark every time you entered a certain area, getting lost and having to start from the beginning again, figuring out the HB castle, and going to Cid for your Gummy Ship needs!

Yes, very, very short. Thats why you returned to them. Even when you returned, still really freaking short.

No challenge, as it's been said. I recall being hopelessly stuck in Halloweentown because I didn't know that to get to Boogie's place, you needed the detective work to find that one little tombstone that you can activate to lower the hill. It's just out there and you need to realyl look around.

Plus Monstro was a jerk at first.

I also thought that the worlds were a bit short, though Pride Rock wasn't that quick for me

The worlds did seem very short, especially Atlantic, man that was a fast world to be.

That was the most infuriating part, they expected you to get done with the rest of the game before completing the level.
It was stupid, they should have just kept it the same as its KH1 counter part.

I mean maybe time constrictions or cost could have hindered it but it was so stupid I wonder why include it at all?

Same here, but as usually... epic FAIL

The world were too short mainly because they were too linear.
No thinking involved at all.

Yes, I agree. They should've kept it the same although it was kind of confusing with all of the water currents or whatever.

Raz is right though, no real exploring aspect.
A 5 year old could play it without getting lost.

I spent a long time in Wonderland and Deep Jungle exploring.
There was none of that in KHII. Point A to Point B, is all.

I didn't even know about 80% of the stuff in Wonderland until I went back and started breaking everything.
And KH2 worlds were far too linear. Especially TWTNW. They could've at least tried to make the castle a challenge to get through.
