DDD Keyblade Discussion (no spoilers)

Just curious as to how people feel about the Keyblade designs for DDD at least the ones we know about.
Personally most of them i hate the rest i love.
Dive Wing End of Pain and Ultima look great.

And when i get the game i always try and beat it without every switching Keyblades just because i have always liked Kingdom Key. and Way to Dawn is the best Keyblade EVER plus it just adds another challenge.

Does anyone else do this or am i just weird?

I liked Kingdom Hearts 3D, but I thought the ending should have been sad. Because, the other spinoff games were sad, excluding Kingdom Hearts Re: Coded. I mean, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days was sad and so was Birth By Sleep. I figured if Sora was taken over by Xehanort then that would have given everyone an objective to beat Team Xehanorts in the next game to get Sora back. In other words, I was expecting to see Sora-nort.

As far as the keyblade designs go, I like the "original" ones (meaning, the ones that aren't the disney themed ones). To me, the disney ones have always looked kinda lame. But I think the original keyblades look sick, especially the TWEWY one.

As far as your challenge, I usually do it after I beat the game...when I end up starting a new game, I'll use the default keyblades.

I do this as well, or at least, I'll change Keyblades when I obtain an upgraded version of the original, like Earthshaker-->Ends of the Earth in Birth by Sleep. Otherwise I'll stick with the default all the way through~

Keyblade designs have never really bothered me all that much to be honest. I do enjoy seeing how they're designed though; which key components a person would usually associate with the world would go into the Keyblade and for what parts. It's pretty interesting.

that's exactly why i don't use the disney keyblades! haha i always want sora to have a cool keyblade in the cutscenes

The Disney ones look good in this game. The only one I think I really don't like is the Ocean Rage. And then out of the non-Disney Keyblades the only one I don't like is the Finishing Blow Knuckles. Seriously, whoever's idea it was to make a Keybalde based off of that demented baboon in a jack-in-the-box Dream Eater was crazy That thing is hideous. So really, 2 bad Keyblades is not, well, bad. BBS and KH2 had a lot more than that imo...

The only thing I am really sad about is that the Skull Noise is the second weakest Keyblade next to the starting ones. It is my favorite out of all the new ones.

And if they're going to do another Beauty and the Beast Keybalde, can we get a return of the Divine Rose? Rumbling Rose was awful!

Rumbling Rose is the most atrocious Keyblade in the entire series, I agree completely.

But I feel kind of left out now, most people seem to stick with the original Keyblades. I don't dislike them by any means, but I also think their are better Keyblades than them in every game. But that's just my opinion

The only Keyblades in this series that I thought were hideous were the Photon Debugger (Tron KH2), the Rumbling Rose (Beast's Castle KH2), and maybe Hyperdrive (Deep Space BBS). Bleh.

Treasure Trove from Dwarf Woodlands was rather ugly. I think they could have chosen something better to base that world's Keyblade off of than the mine, especially since only one of them actually goes there.

Totally agree. I mean, for the Dwarf Woodlands Keyblade they could have integrated the treant/tree monster branches into it and incorporate the poison apple somewhere and maybe some flowers. I thought that that would've been a cooler idea.

what i tend to do is on a second playthrough i will use only story releated keyblades. these include using KK up until i get O+O in KH1, using KK until i get star seeker, then i also use O+O, as well as fenrir. In BBS i used the default keys, plus their "upgrades" for terra and aqua. for ven i would use ww up until i got frolic flame, then switch back to ww before the final fight. in days, zero gear all day. also, im OK with most of the ddd keychains, though a few are pretty lame, and some of them are amazing, though it is going to be hard as riku because way to dawn is the coolest looking keyblade in the series

I saw the TWEWY Keyblade, that has to be one of the sickest Keyblades I've ever saw, why can't it have stronger stats so I can equip it always?

I felt the same way since Skull Noise looks much better to me than Knuckle Punch *I forgot the name*.

Skull Noise was pretty sweet as well.
The Muskuteer one was pretty neat but the rest i dislike I will probably just use the Defaults for the whole game. Dive Wing tho looks awesome and has awesome stats. I just think as far as designs go all of the FF based chains have been the best. Hope they improve more on them in KH3.

Actually I liked all Designs of them, they are all pretty neat in its unique own way and obtained and played with the better next Keyblade just for fun and to use them all.

And really? Divine Rose compared to Rumbling Rose is better? Oh god I don't want to understand this, at least Rumbling Rose had something Brutal on it, Divine Rose is the Keyblade I hate to use the most, next to Sweet Memories...
