Dark Souls' gist is that it punishes you if you try to rush things or get greedy with your attacks. Everything has a method, if you take your time you can beat anything. You can grind, power up your equipment, there is always a solution. Personally, on top of my head, Threads of Fate and Kingdom Hearts 2 FM, while seemingly easy games, fully beating them is a LOT harder. Threads of fate has some crazy minigames which require some ridicoulosly precise platforming and you are stuck in them the only way out being either winning or dying.
KH2FM on critical is nuts. The bosses have like a million different attack patters, if yo make one mistkae, you wont die, insead you either get stunlocked to death or, the worse imo and wat darks souls doenst do, get juggled to death. Basically, the attack throws you on midair, you recover only to get hit again. Reflect is uselss cause the enmy is to far away, gliding is useless cause you still get hit anyway and its basically a slow and agonizing death. Mess up once and its oblivion. No estus flasks, no gainign ground. Not to mention that you have to combo the enmies to beat cause they got 10x the health DS bosses do. The latter, you can beat most of them just doing hit and run. Also, those Musroom minigames are utter BS. Half of them are luck based and the other require some crazy timing or tracking to do.
