5 hours?
Let's see, we have around 5.30am around here right now, that would be...10.30am.
By then I should be firmly around my workplace, so I might be able to follow the news on the side while working, even if it has to be without audio for obvious reasons.

True. I would be at school at 10 am, but I actually have religious education, which is why I have free time.
Let's just wait and see..

By the way, the thing with the cats and the tweets..those are jokes~

Glad that that's cleared up now. I thought that those types of things would have been a little too showy for the usually shy Nomura.

Not gonna lie: it would have been really awesome to see, though. Especially the cat thing. I don't think something like that would have ended well, however, as kitties probaby would have gotten spooked and run off the stage. LOL.

Why do people think that no one will post to social media? I don't get that ban at all. Hopefully someone just ignores what Square Enix said and reveals it all.

Not impossible, but highly unlikely. The Japanese culture is honor-based.

Not really. I remember the years 2008 and 2010 where pretty much their entire closed theater trailers at TG/ (which didn't allow camera's) were leaked online.
also 2chan.
That being said I don't expect people tweeting during the event.

Anyone notice the colors of the Mickey ears? They remind me of the colors used for the attraction flow.

The news embargo lifts at 2am for me. I almost always stay up that late anyway, so I'm good for staying up.

They're not allowing anyone to stream it since Walt Disney has actually walked up on stage to give Kingdom Hearts and the fans watching his blessing. This footage of Walt will be erased from any footage of the event once uploaded, and the people at the event were all required to sign a blood pact to not show anyone proof of it.

Trust me my uncle's 2nd cousin works for Nomura.

I'm sorry, but this just shows ignorance for those who actually paid to attend the event.
There is a second showing of the material later and it is completely within their rights to decide that no information should be "leaked" until the event is over completely (meaning both showings).

Or, to quote Mark Hamill:
"We're living in such a different age now. It's like a competition to see who can leak information faster than the next guy. I don't get it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they don't get a copy of the script and leak the whole thing on the Internet.
He's speaking about the new Star Wars movie obviously, but it holds true for any new material in any franchise actually.

If someone tried uploading the new trailer it would probably be removed

Holy shit, guys. The place is getting shut down. Nomura accidentally left pornhub open on his computer and it was all on the screen. Alexis Texas getting plowed for like 10 minutes on screen, like circa 2008. Nomura is nervously giggling on stage and all the Kingdom Hearts fans are flipping out.

Son of Man from Tarzan is also playing over the loud speaker, so Tarzan confirmed maybe? Might be from the next theater over

I agree with your whole post. I said it in another thread, and I'll say it again:

It's kinda unfair for those who work very hard and paid for the event. They will be spoiler all over, and guess what -- that would ruin everything. I wouldn't wan't to be spoiled, either.

These days, we can't see anything worth $50 from Square-Enix unless its a game. I wish I could make wishes for the game and all, but if there's one thing I've learned over the years, it's that fan-wishes fall on deaf and rude ears. Nobody has an idea the producers will consider, and nobody will consider stating good reasons why such ideas can be praised and beloved.

Son of Man has ended and Can You Feel the Love Tonight has started blasting. This potentially could confirm the return of the Lion King.

I don't want the trailer, I want the details. The people who are seeing the material later can just avoid the spoilers. If they paid to attend the event, just wait until the event to see the material. But, it's like I said, just because Square says not to spoil it doesn't mean people won't.

They will, but they can't until after the event is over in order to respect those who will be going to the second showing. It isn't fair to them. Even with the 2.5 event, nobody spilled the beans until after the first event was over.

Also, people in Japan are very staunch rule followers.

People are assholes though.

Yes even in Japan.

I mean, I remember it from 2004, but the times these days are totally different. Some of those trailers were never released at all, and Square's only asking for a few hours this time. Nobody snuck footage of the first D23 presentation, if you'll recall.
