Story

On the Planet within the timeframe of Crisis Core, the several unaccountable disappearance of ordinary citizens have enticed the involvement of Shinra's elite military branch, SOLDIER. In accordance to proximity readings, the suspected area embodies an odd electro-magnetic field which renders renders the many technology equipment dysfunctional. In concern with the instability that this quaint activity may bring. 1st Class SOLDIER Zack Fair is assigned to the classified operation, and is immediately sent to investigate. Secretly followed by his former friend and tutor, Angeal Hewley, the two are witness to the discovery of something shocking and alien to abysmal proportions; a portal named Midbend, functioning as a gateway to an unknown destination. Driven by instinctual curiosity, Zack Fair approaches the portal so called Midbend, only to be vacuumed in by the strength of its gravitational pull. Angeal, observing this occur, follows Zack into the portal. The two find themselves in an entirely new universe, yet sharing identical attributes to their own. Now existing in this alternate dimension, their presence may indicate something greater than the two could imagine and the oddity of it all is, they feel a new sense of consciousness; they begin to feel....'real'.

Amongst their mission that they learn on what the place is called Earth, they are about to meet unlikely allies including a boy named Rex Reedington who has yearned for nothing more then adventure and persistence to fight for what it is good, as well as other humans and even some from their own hometown. It is then they are about to go through series of events and chaos that seems further from anything they imagined.

~*~

As the analog clock on the side of the classroom wall turned to 11: 20, a brown-haired boy sitting in the desk below across the room glanced up at it; his emerald-colored eyes glaring at it for being quite sluggish at that moment. Come on! He thought impatiently. Only 5 more minutes till school would be let out. This he can hardly wait for. Too bad he only finished his English finals about 15 minutes ago. He wondered if he missed a question about similes and metaphor about that one book they read for class Chant and Shackles, he had studied all night.

The question had asked:

‘The wooden chair tried to saunter over to Tory. As it did, it almost fell over from the leftover piles of block. “Oh dread those blocks are definitely have the essence of troublemakers if you don't mind me saying.”
Is this quote, what is used in the wooden chair’s quote:

a) Metaphor

b) Simile

c) Personification

d) Oxymoron

e) I’m stupid, I don’t know. (You’ll get a zero if you answer this)

No, it was metaphor! He remembered the text from all the studying he done over the past few nights ago. So he should of have gotten it right because there’s no way it could be simile or personification.

He looked across the classroom to see how his classmates were doing. Some of them had finished their finals and were equally bored as he had been, that or whispering to their friends. The others were still looking down and writing considering they weren’t done. Too bad his best friends weren’t in the same class. For one Georgia Syer, one of his best friends, would probably be whispering to him about how monotonous the finals were. That or shoot airplanes notes at him when the teacher wasn’t glancing at him.

He dared not to stare up the clock again as it ticked. He knew it would cause the time to just go by at a snail’s pace.
“4 more minutes,” he heard his English teacher, Mr. Brown say as he looked up at the clock. Rex decided at the moment to contemplate about his year at school. So far Freshmen year turned out alright despite the fact he had a bully who picked on him. Too bad, he wasn’t good standing up to the bully and most of the time, his friends had to help him stand up to them. One in particular by the name of Kul who had liked to pick on him for reasons that he was scrawny and small, which were lies and talks of discouragement. Not only that but there was time Kul was beating him up until both of his brothers had both arrived on the scene and helped him up. The stupid bully would have gone after him but Mack had brought a teacher with him. He also warned him to stay away from his brother. Kul had been suspended and truthfully Cliffton would of have pounded Kul if not for wanting to get into trouble.

Somehow at this point, Rex wished he was stronger at standing up for himself. He apologized to his brothers for the trouble but they insisted it wasn’t his fault. “You didn’t do anything and there’ll be losers out there,” He remembered Mack telling him while they were waiting in the nurse’s office. He liked Mack was a good brother to reassure him of this. Still….he could of done something about it. Instead he had to face humiliation again of being the youngest of the Reedington brothers who was a chicken. Not only that but he had to have others save his own neck. He didn’t like it that much considering he didn’t like to fight yet he got pounded every chance anytime Kul and his friends came nearby.

Brinnnnnnnnngggggggggg! The bell screamed, interrupting his thoughts at that moment. Rex Reedington jumped up out of his desk. Finally! He would now be free for the summer! He could hardly wait as he gathered his pencils and put them into backpack. He was about to rush out of the class when he heard, “Wait a minute Mr. Reedington,” He groaned, wondering what his teacher could want now. Didn’t his teacher know that today was the start of his freedom? He turned around reluctantly as some other students walked by. Some of them glanced his way while others whispered and started laughing. He would of normally cared but ignored them as he walked over to Mr. Brown’s desk.

"Ah yes, now as you know you’re going to be a sophomore, am I correct?” He asked, smiling at Rex. He adjusted his gold spectacles. Rex nodded. Indeed, he was. “Well then, I wanted to say thank you for a wonderful year!” He said. He took out his hands as if he wanted Rex to shake it with his. Rex stared at it for a few seconds. Wait that was it? Then realizing he had manners, he smiled and shook it. “No problem Mr. Brown. I’m always glad to be here and it was great year.” He replied, hoping he sounded honest. He was considering he loved English class. Mr. Brown beamed at him. “Off you go now!" With that Rex made a zipping beeline to the doorway. “Have a great summer!” He called although his pupil had already disappeared out of sight.

Once he got into the hall, Rex almost came face to face with a pale skinned person who had short, spiky inky-shaded hair. She reminded him more of a guy but nevertheless, he knew it was a girl as she said: “Hello Rush-a lot.” He would of screamed but stopped right there on the spot. “Whoa geez, Georgie. You almost scared me!” He said, panting a bit as his best friend, Georgia Syer (who preferred to be called Georgie) smirked at this. “Oh my bad but you were rushing out of the classroom like ‘I can’t wait! I reallyyyyy can’t!’” She added, trying to imitate him. Rex smiled a bit considering she was right. He couldn’t help it though. He was going to be free from the likes of piles of schoolwork as well as torture from Kul, a horrifying bully for three bully-free months. It was at that time, he would be able to escape into a temporary paradise on Earth.

The two started walking down the hallway towards the south entrance of the school instead of heading towards the buses that were located at the north entrance of the school. Originally Georgia insisted that she had to go home and take the bus but considering Rex’s mom invited Georgia over to hang out with Rex which made his day from good to greater. The two friends were supposed to meet up with Rex’s older brother, Mack who was scheduled to pick them up from school. Unlike Rex, his school ended a week earlier considering he had graduated from high school and was supposed to have an early summer. Despite this, Mack claimed he was an official freshman at the University of Plaintracke and that he was planning to work on what to do once he arrived there.

Once they got outside, Rex held out his arm. “Summer is finally here!” He sighed, closing his eyes and sinking into the warm, breezy atmosphere. Georgia on the otherhand was scanning around the driveway for a sign of where Mack would be. Many of the other students walked by, doing the same while others headed for their cars. “Hey,” Rex started to say glancing at the foamy clouds overhead. “Do you suppose our summer..” Georgia looked over at him. “What about summer?” She asked him, cocking her head a bit. Her blue eyes blinking. “Do you think that we will have adventures?” He wanted so bad to escape the reality of this world. He wanted to be grasped from the dull days and plunge into the route of a non-existent fictional journey.

He wondered if it he lived in another world such as the ones in Final Fantasy games, he’d be able to live Zack’s world instead of his own or something unusual happens. He loved Crisis Core and had played more then ten times over and over. Hoping to see the areas of Gongaga to Midgar. He loved also playing as Zack Fair, knowing that his fictional hero had strength and was optimistic. Rex wished he was strong like Zack in that sense. If only he could be like that. Cheerful, happy-go lucky, and be able to fight for himself. Most of the time, Zack fought for himself although on occasions, he had help from his allies. Sure it was a video game but at least Zack reached his goals. His allies didn’t have to fight too many of their battles for him.

Rex was thinking about this when several students started clapping and shouting. Some others watched in amazement. Of course Rex paid no attention to them, they were probably cheering about something random a ridiculous kid in his car would do. It was that moment, he heard his name being called. He looked to see Georgia nodding. What was she nodding at? He glanced and saw that driving towards their direction was a black 911-model Porche. He saw the driver, a spiky hair, light brown hair boy wave at them. His hands were outside the window. It was Mack who had come to pick them up. Georgia waved at him as he slowed to a stop. The two of them rushed over to the Porche and opened the back door. “Hey guys,” Mack greeted them once the two clambered into the backseat. “Hey Mack!” Georgia greeted him, waving her hands. Rex was about to greet him when a loud voice called: “HEY MACK! DON’T FORGET ABOUT YOUR DEAR BROTHER!” The three of them all jumped, startled at the sound of this. Rex stared out the window to see it was his second eldest brother, Cliffton, whom he had forgot considering his brother was a Sophomore and he barely hung out with Mack or Rex during school sessions. At times, he pretended Rex was a stranger he saw at times. Unlike Mack, who was about balancing school, family, and friends, he was all about the social life. Yet Rex never figured how he managed to have good grades. He was also the loudmouth in the family with his outgoing attitude and at times, sarcastic remarks. Rex wondered how in the world he could ever get into this kind of family. Sometimes he felt like he was the adopted one despite his face matching with Cliffton’s and his dad and his hair the same shade of brown as Mack’s.

Cliffton opened the door and hopped into the car. “Hey Mack, I envy you.” He said as he buckled himself in. “But next year I’ll ask Lara to get me a car that’s way better then your Porche here.” He added, shutting the door behind him. He dropped his backpack between where Rex and Georgia were sitting. “Here fetch,” he said to Rex who stared at it in annoyance. What is this? He thought, giving Georgia a look. Georgia looked like she was holding a fist of giggles while Mack hadn’t reacted at all. He acted like he had no ears that point and instead cranked up the engine. Cliffton tried to turn up the rock music that was on the radio but before they knew it, they were zooming away from the school towards the direction of Rex’s house which was only eleven miles from their high school.

For most of the ride, Cliffton bragged how he was going to try and get a better suitable sports car then what Mack had. He had somehow managed to get Georgia interested in the conversation although Rex paid no attention to it. Instead Rex was staring at the window, deep in thought. I wonder what it'll be like to live in Sector Five. He remembered there was where many of the machinery and factory-like places had ships and transportation. As well as joining the likes of SOLDIER and meeting the Final Fantasy characters. It would definitely be awesome and he bet he'd probably be having lots of adventures then he usually had on Earth.

“And we’re home!” Cliffton yelled as Rex looked to see they had reached their driveway where a brick-stoned house that had dark green shutters and a matching door greeted them. Once they were in the garage that connected their house to their kitchen, Cliffton was the first one to unbuckle himself out. “Dude thanks for the ride, big bro!” He cried as he rushed into the house, clearly forgetting his backpack that Rex was holding. “Thanks a lot Cliffton!” He yelled after his brother.

Then the three of the all got out of the car. Rex made sure that when he opened the door, it didn’t hit his mom’s dark blue Lexus. Mack was very sensitive about his car considering it was a gift from Rex’s eldest sibling, Lara Reedington. She was out of college and an actress in Hollywood. She rarely came to visit them due to her schedule and only had time during certain holidays but she had made sure to make it at Mack’s Graduation and had given him a Porche for a gift considering she knew her brother loved cars. She had also given Rex some good news: She’d be taking a break to stay home. Rex really loved having Lara around but sometimes wished she was home more. He was glad she wasn’t shown in the spotlight too much but not to say she wasn’t on the cover of the magazine.

“Thanks for driving us home." He said to Mack, who had quietly gotten out of the car. Mack looked at him and nodded. “No problem. If you need anything else or some kind of transportation, I’ll be here.” He reminded them. He looked at the door that his other brother had gone through, “As for me,” he smiled. “It’s time for me to go pawn Cliffton in Wrecking Kingdoms." He excused himself and jogged towards the house where they could hear his car keys jiggling in his pocket.

Many people would of wondered how the two got along but Rex knew Mack was friendly and open when he wanted to be. Other times, he seemed quiet and appeared aloof but that was only when he was thinking or he had just met new people. Most of the time he was the coolest brother Rex ever had considering he always looked out for and always supporting him.

“Hey Rex, look up there.” Georgia said loudly. Rex saw that she was standing at the edge of the garage door. She had been staring up at the sky. Her face was glistening with fascination and wonder. The two of them stared up at the clear azure sky. He only saw little puffy clouds floating by as well as the usual sun burning outside. He was wondering what his friend was asking him to look at. Was it an airplane? Was it a flying human being skydiving? Nah. So far he had seen nothing at the moment except a few birds nearby. He’d doubt that was what she was talking about. “I can’t see it,” he told her, still searching for what she was looking at. “Over there,” she said pointing her hand towards a northeast direction. He squinted at the sky, trying to follow what Georgia was pointing at.

It was then he spotted sparks of dark blue lights glittering in the sky. It blended so well that it looked like it was in the sky the whole time. Whoa what is that? He wondered if it was some kind of shooting stars in the daytime. If it wasn’t shooting stars, then what was the light? Some type of fireworks that lit up in the day sky? It seemed possible considering they looked small lighted dots that sprinkled in the sky. Whatever it is was, it was shooting downwards in many directions but he couldn’t tell what it was. He hoped it wasn’t an asteroid that would explode the planet of Earth. He wasn’t ready to end his life yet. Then again, it seemed to be different and beautiful to be an asteroid falling from the sky. If it wasn’t an asteroid, what was it? Somehow Rex felt as if he never saw it before yet he was excited. This could mark the beginning of his summer adventure.

In the world of Change.
Warm, bright blue light engulfed Zack as he fell towards a bright, giant planet. He smiled for no reason just to know that this was a dream and that he was floating. It felt like he had done this once but had forgotten how it felt. But soon he began to head downwards instead of just laying. Zack slowly opened his eyes, but failed as he was traveling downwards to the planet's surface at oh I don't know thousand miles per an hour?

In any case, Zack landed in a park a loud thud as he crashed into the hard surface. He had blacked out. A few minutes or maybe hours later, Zack began to wake up. His eyes began to flicker, and he could make out a large green tree above. His vision was still blurry but it was slowly adjusting from the bright blue light to the dimly lit environment that he was now in.
"...Fingers...Check...Hands...Check..." Zack muttered as he began to slowly move some parts of his body to check for any damage made to them.
"Head...definitely check...ow..." Zack muttered closing his eyes and reaching for his head. A major head ache most likely from the impact started in Zack's skull. Good thing that a impact like that didn't kill him.

Now as he sat up, he began to wonder where in the name of Gaia was he? He looked to his right and saw only the indent of his crater hole had made. Strange, he should of made a large hole if he was going crazy fast. But there it was a small indent in the ground and a few broken tree branches that had fallen off from him falling through them most likely.

The surrounding area that he had landed in was mostly green with a few trees and bushes here and there. There looked like a sidewalk of some sorts through the entire area. A small body of water lay at about twenty feet away from Zack. As he got the feeling back in his legs, Zack decided to see if he could stand up. He could but something was a bit off. He felt a bit heavier than usual. Had he gotten fat? No, maybe this world had a dense gravity field. Normally that would make sense but if that was true than he should of died in that impact.

Zack stretched his back groaning as his spine cracked, the bubbles in between his spine popped releasing the stress that had built up to brace for the impact. Next thing Zack had to do now was to figure out where he was and how he got here. He remembered being sent on a mission and going after something, then a giant portal and then him feeling warm and then here he was.

Tilting his head slightly and sighing, Zack was never good at remembering specifics unless it came to certain things like people...or girls...crap he had forgotten about Aeirth! He hadn't told her about this mission! Oh man....was he lucky that he was sent into another world! Man, how would he explain how he had missed their date next week?

"Well, I still have to figure out what world or place this is." Zack said cheerfully looking around. He then noticed something, and put his hand on his back. His sword! It was gone! What the hell! Zack frantically looked around the area to find his sword. Without it he would be defenseless against any creatures here if there were any!

After searching for what seemed like day's Zack sat down upset that his only possession was missing. How did he manage to lose something that had protected him since he had first join SOLDIER? Then it struck him.

Did Shinra know about the portal and where he was? More importantly did Angeal know? If so then would they follow him into this strange world? Maybe, he was SOLDIER First Class, they wouldn't let their prized warriors disappear on them. So hopefully he could get back home to Aeirth and Angeal. Zack sighed and began to walk his hopefully disposition coming slowly back. He had to look on the positive side of things.

He was in a strange new world that no one from Gaia had probably been to ever! He would be able to interact with the populace as he wished though that doesn't mean he would go on a crazy rampage like he suspected some people would do if they were given the chance. He could mingle and make new friends and maybe find something of worth here! Zack looked forward to what lay ahead of him, a large area surrounded by homes. Maybe he could find help here and find a place to stay?

Kei sighed, her head hitting her desk. She had been stuck in this class for hours just to take a final, and she had finished only an hour after it started. Well, it was an easy final, so most everyone finished it quickly. There were still a few people who were either very confused on the questions, or over analyzing them, because they were still working with 10 minutes left of the class period. The teacher had also said that nobody could talk until everybody was finished. Great.

Kei looked over at her friend Aubrey, who was sitting next to her. She shared the same expression that Kei had on her face; bored and irritated. It was the last day of Junior year, for goodness sake. People would want to talk a bit before running out at their chance of freedom.

Suddenly, someone stood up and carried their paper to the front of the class. The teacher smiled and put the paper in a stack, before turning to the class. “Everyone has finished the final now, so you may all talk.” Cheers went up all around the room as people started moving to talk to their friends. Kei looked at the clock. ‘Dangit, there’s only 5 minutes left to talk…’ she thought, turning to Aubrey. ‘But at least I’ll be able to keep in touch with my friends over the summer.’

“Oh my gosh, I can’t believe Junior year’s gonna be over in five minutes!” said Aubrey excitedly. Kei nodded. She had heard the same thing all day.

“Yeah… It felt like it was only yesterday when we were Freshmen.” The standard response to that statement. There was a short pause as Kei stuffed some papers and things into her backpack.

“Oh, by the way, you want to hang out and go shopping after school today? Like, a present for getting through Junior year!” Aubrey said, nearly jumping out of her seat.

“Wait, so I’m buying a present for myself?” Kei laughed, zipping up her backpack. Aubrey just nodded excitedly. “That sounds like fun. I’ll have to tell my brother, though.” Aubrey nodded in understanding.

“Well, I’ll walk with you to your house then. You don’t live too far away, so it won’t take to long. Plus, I want to see Haru again!” Kei laughed at her friends excitement. Aubrey loved Haru, her brother’s dog.

Just as Kei put on her backpack, the bell rang. A smile crossed her face. ‘Finally, freedom!’ She stood up and started walking out of the classroom, saying a quick goodbye to her teacher. She and Aubrey walked down the halls, saying bye to a few friends along the way (some of which joined them for their shopping spree). They walked out of the school, while Kei looked back one last time. Junior year was a good year for her, and she would miss the great teachers she had. There was only one year of school left, also. Then she would have to go to college…

Kei shook her head as she turned and walked away. She’d have time to think about those things later. She watched as Aubrey skipped down the sidewalk toward her house. The friends that were also going shopping with them had gone to the mall already, saying they would meet them there. Kei didn’t mind that, of course. She didn’t really want a lot of people invading her house.

They soon came to the front door of the medium-sized house. Why her brother chose this place, Kei had no clue. It was only the two of them living there, not including Haru, so they didn’t really need much space. She opened the door and walked inside, seeing her brother on the couch as usual, playing video games. She didn’t have to look to see which one it was; by the character voices and music she knew it was Final Fantasy X. She had grown so used to all of the video games her brother had, she could tell what each one was just by ear. Haru scampered over to the front door to greet them, and Aubrey immediately started petting him. Kei laughed. It was funny seeing her friend get so obsessed over her dog.

“Hey, Hiroshi! I’m going to the mall with my friends to hang out!” Kei yelled, trying to be louder than the surround sound. Suddenly the music stopped as the game was paused.

“'Kay,” said Hiroshi, before unpausing the game. Kei sighed. Her brother was usually like that. It didn’t really bother her, but sometimes she wished he would talk a bit more.

Kei quickly tossed her backpack on the ground before walking outside. Aubrey gave Haru one more quick pat before following behind. “So, Kei, since we haven’t eaten lunch yet, do you wanna get some food before we go shopping?” asked Aubrey, obviously trying to hide her apparent hunger.

“Sure, why not?” Kei replied, reaching to her wallet to see how much money she had. “What did you have in mind?”

“Umm, everything sounds good to me, so let’s just stop at the nearest fast food place, ok?” Kei nodded, knowing that they wouldn’t have to walk too far to get to a fast food restaurant.

In a matter of minutes they came up to a McDonald’s. It wasn’t Kei’s all-time favorite food, but it was alright. Aubrey ran up to the front of the line and started ordering what seemed like everything off the menu. Kei laughed before wondering how it was that her friend could stay so thin when she always ate so much. After Aubrey paid for her meal, Kei went up and ordered a plain double cheese burger and a Coke. Their orders were ready quickly, and they took their food to eat outside.

'It was a nice day...' Kei thought, finishing off the last of her burger, before looking over at Aubrey, who seemed preoccupied with something in the sky. “Hey Kei, what do you think those things are?” she asked, pointing. Kei squinted, noticing a few lights.

“I… really couldn’t tell you,” said Kei, tossing her trash in a nearby garbage bin. She was curious about those lights, and decided to keep watching them to see what would happen. ‘I hope it’s nothing bad…’

Reina carried her bag, which slung over one shoulder, and while she was walking she watched many schoolmates run out excitedly and in relief after the final exams. She walked out of the school, hearing the mixed voices of tons of schoolmates until she heard her name from behind. She turned around to see her two closest friends, Amy and Dania. They grinned at her, obviously looking happy from the finish of the finals and their coming holidays. 'Let's go eat some ice cream!' Amy shouted. Dania shrugged. 'I guess that's how some people celebrate.' She said, and Reina chuckled.

Reina and Amy held hands and started skipping out the school while Dania walked, keeping her pace with them. It wasn't long until they went to their favourite ice cream stall and got their ice creams. They sat on an empty bench fit for three and ate their ice creams in peace. 'Hey,' Reina said, in the midst of eating their ice creams, 'Let's have a sleepover! At Amy's place!!' She said enthusiastically.

Amy grinned. 'Sure! You can come over anytime!' Amy told Reina. She knew Reina's situation about her mother and how Reina wasn't comfortable being at home. Although Amy and Dania had suggested Reina have a talk with her mother, Reina seemed reluctant to follow it. So Amy just decided to let her stay whenever she wanted to, if that made Reina more comfortable.

As they ate their ice creams, they shared a few jokes, and mostly Dania picked on Amy while Reina laughed. After finishing, Reina stood up, stretched a little and patted her stomach. She let out a sigh of content. 'That was good.' She said.

Amy giggled and turned to look at Dania, who stared at the sky. Amy stared at the sky as well, wondering what Dania was looking at. 'What are you looking at?' Amy asked Dania. Reina looked at Dania and Amy, puzzled at their interest in the sky.

Dania pointed at the sky. 'I'm just wondering what those lights are in the sky.' She said.

'Lights?' Amy asked as she looked in the sky. 'Oh. Wow, they look pretty! Are they stars?' She asked. 'But stars don't come out at this time of the day do they?'

Reina searched for the lights they were talking about. She stared at them. 'They are pretty...and a little peculiar. I've never seen them before.' She said. 'Well maybe it's not a big deal. We'll probably hear about it some time soon.' Reina said, shrugging it off.

Amy jumped off the bench, standing and doing a little twirl. She giggled. 'Now, let's go eat lunch!!' She said, walking off in enthusiasm towards their favourite cafe. Dania got up and stretched. She smiled. 'Last one there buys our food!' She grinned and ran ahead. Amy started running as well, trying to catch up with Dania.

'Hey! That's not fair!' Reina yelled, running after them. While she ran, she stared at the lights again. Maybe I'm just getting worried for nothing. It's not like there's going to be a huge threat here... She thought, shrugging off the mysterious lights in the sky.

Hiroshi sat on the couch, enjoying his lazy day with Haru, playing Final Fantasy X. Of course, that's how most of his days were. After school he would come home and do nothing for the rest of the day. It might seem like a boring life for some people, but he enjoyed it. Now that it was summer, he would have even more time to just sit and play video games. 'Maybe I could finally finish that game I bought last year...' he thought, finishing up a boss battle. Suddenly he heard the front door open. Haru jumped off the couch and ran to see who it was.

“Hey, Hiroshi! I’m going to the mall with my friends to hang out!” yelled Kei, trying to be louder than the video game music.

Hiroshi paused the game so he wouldn't have to yell. "Kay," he said, before unpausing the game. He heard the sound of something being tossed to the floor and the door closing. He shrugged and moved to the next area in the game. After a few minutes he noticed that Haru hadn't come back. 'Ah, he's probably by the door...' he thought, pausing the game once again to go check. Just as he thought, Haru was seated by the front door, wanting to go outside for a walk. Hiroshi sighed and went to grab Haru's leash. He didn't particularly like going outside for walks, but it had to be done. He attached the leash to Haru's collar before opening the door and walking outside.

Hiroshi had gone to Haru's favorite park for a walk, and was now sitting on a bench. He had let Haru roam around the park without a leash, knowing he would stay close by. He sat with his eyes closed, about to doze off, when he heard Haru start barking. Hiroshi's eyes shot open in a panic as he started looking for his best friend. He saw him not too far away by himself. 'Why's he barking, though? He doesn't do that often.' He ran over to where Haru was and picked him up. Haru's eyes never left the sky. Hiroshi, curious, looked up to see just what caught his dog's attention. 'What are those? Planes...?' he thought, looking at the blue lights dotting the sky. He jogged back to the bench and put Haru's leash back on before sitting down. 'Maybe I'll sit and watch, just in case...'

Normally Asurya was the good guy, but after he'd changed motives and really switched up the way he did things, there was nothing wrong with being a bad guy or choosing to act villain like, eve if it was a cliche to a lot of people. "This food is awful, I haven't seen this much fat per serving since I ate that cow last week." And yes he did mean literally. In any case Asurya saw a lot of different people coming in and out of the McDonalds he was in, and for some time had been musing over if he should reek havoc or not, or just sit and watch people and their essence as he did quite ofteb, but it was when another group arrived that he made his choice.

After another chomp and then following discretely those whom he'd targeted, Asurya watched quitely as one of the duo stared up at the sky watching some lights and the other just remained idle. "Nice day isn't it ladies??" Without a pause, he smiled broadly and on the tip of his finger grew a small dot of white essence that he toggled there and then pointed at the still busy and bustling McDonalds. With another look toward the two, he flicked the dot off his finger and laughed as it flew into the fast food joint and within seconds caused a massive explosion, sending debris and soot everywhere, bodies literally flying out burned and lifeless.

"Oops." The smile he wore hadn't left his face, but as people poured out into the street and continued to scream, he killed a few of them, two small chuldren wom wailed for their mother more specifically he impaled through the forehead with his pointer finger, causing blood to spurt out in a spray...all over Kei and her friend.

"Nice day isn't it ladies?"

Kei and Aubrey both turned around when they heard a voice behind them only to see a man with a... a white dot on his finger? Kei looked at it, clearly confused, trying to determine what it was. The man looked to his finger, than back up to them. 'Who is this weirdo-' Kei's thoughts were interrupted as the man flicked the small dot into the fast food restaurant, causing an explosion after it landed. The two friends stood dumbstruck, not knowing what to do. Kei couldn't help but stare at some of the burned corpses flying through the air.

"Oops."

Kei looked at the smiling man in disbelief. Did he really just cause that explosion? Then something happened that Kei would never be able to forget. The man went over to two small children and impaled them in the head with his finger. Their blood sprayed over Kei and Aubrey. Kei just continued staring, unable to move, until Aubrey's screams pulled her out of her trance. Kei wanted to help these people, but she knew it was too dangerous. She didn't have anything to defend herself with, besides a small pocket knife. This guy had the power to make buildings explode and impale people using only his finger. She knew she didn't stand a chance. The only thing she knew how to do was run. And that's exactly what she did. She grabbed Aubrey's arm with one hand, and her cell phone with the other, quickly dialing 9-1-1. She didn't know what help the police would be, but they would have to do for now. The operator answered the call, but Kei could hardly talk due to her running. So she quickly said the location of the McDonald's, and asked for help. The woman wanted more details, but Kei hung up the phone. She didn't know how she could explain what had just happened.

Kei and her friend ran, simply took off with the other girl screaming and beginning to cry hysterically or something like that. amused and amazed by what was happening and the reaction of what seemed to be rather normal people, Asurya just watched, zeroing in on Kei and listening to her phone call, she'd called the cops, Asurya laughed and began walking toward them, then picked up speed and ran to catch up, he stopped dead and pointed to the cop cars that were coming ever closer, "Kei dear, why did you run from me?? I just wanted to have a nice chat, but you so rudely left and then even called the authorities!!!" Asurya looked sideways at Aubrey and glared at her..."I guess you weren't rude, but maybe i'll make you pay for what your friend here did."

His eyes glittered, "How about it Kei?? Do you want to see your friend die, how about I cut her open and you watch her fresh blood gush from the orifices in her body??" With that, he snatched Auabry up and the emblem on his back extended and rippled out into a wicked looking small dagger that glowed white at the edges, "You ready Aubrey??"

Zack looked towards his right, hearing what sounded like an explosion. He had been looking for his sword in the nearby homes seeing if it had somehow flew off of him into the homes, but alas it hadn't.

But with this large explosion to the East, Zack knew that something was wrong. More importantly he began to see people running away from the explosion. What had happened? Zack began to run towards the explosion trying to see what had caused such a thing. But as he got closer to the source of the explosion, he began to run into a large mob of people that were crying and screaming.

Some of them had blood on their faces. This was no explosion. Now determined, Zack began to push the people in his way to get to the source. After doing so, he saw what looked like a person with a dagger sticking out of his back, a girl in his hands.

"Hey! What do you think your doing?!" Zack shouted to the human dagger thing. He hadn't really thought of what he would do next, his sword gone and all. But he could use his other techniques, hopefully they would work in this world.
"I hope my abilities work in this world, otherwise I'm dead." Zack thought to himself, the look of determination still in his eyes.

NOTE: This is a long, mellow post. I changed one of my character’s names and uhhhhh the action post will be up after I come back from vacation. Just thought this would help.

As the blue lights faded, Rex wondered where they were heading towards. Many of them seem to head in opposite directions of where they were coming from. He thought one of them resulted in an explosion. He saw that the birds scattering in many directions. ‘What’s going on? He thought to himself as he stared at it. He was looking when Georgia said, “I guess we should go inside?” Rex nodded. It’s best they should. Rex really wanted to see if they could get their hands on the living room TV since the family room den was being used by his brothers.

They started walking when they heard a car honk. The two friends swiveled their heads to see a big SUV limo pull into the driveway. They stopped as they stared at it. Could it be? Rex thought as he looked at it. Then a driver came out and started walking towards the left side of the door. As he held it, a pair of silver-strapped heels stepped onto the pavement. Rex couldn’t see who it was at first until the door was closed. “Thanks Martin,” he heard a woman’s voice say. Then they saw a beautiful blonde haired woman step back, watching as the car door was shut by her driver. She looked more like she was in her early twenties which is what made her so pretty. She was also really skinny, had beautiful red-lips that she used pink lipstick on, and her high-cheekbones made her seem really friendly. Despite this, it was her face that Rex was familiar with. He had seen it on billboards, posters, magazines, and newspaper ad. He even saw it on TV but he knew this face. It was a familiar face to him. Not because it was everywhere. It was because this face belonged to somebody he was close to. “It’s my sister, Lara!” he cried to Georgia. The two of them looked at each other. Lara Reedington was Rex’s oldest sibling and older sister who was rarely home. She was an actress living mostly in Los Angeles but for some reason, she decided to come home. He wondered why. This was awesome news! He couldn’t wait to tell his

“Lara!” Rex cried to his sister as he stepped out of the garage. Georgie trailed behind him. Lara turned to face them. Her smile glowing on her face. “Rex!” She cried as she turned to him. They were happy to see each other. Rex followed by his friend walked over to her. “What are you doing here?” He wanted to know. His sister was supposed to be working, that or she was probably taking a vacation. “Surprise! I’ve decided to come and visit you guys!” She cried, her arms held out. Rex automatically hugged her. Sure he only saw her at the graduation but they didn’t get to talk much. Most of the time, she was hanging out with Mack and his parents. It wasn’t her fault though. She had a busy schedule and he understood. “I came back to see you and everybody else again,” She explained as they let go. This was awesome! Now they could have quality family time! Rex thought. Then she spotted Georgie who was looking up at her. “Hey Georgie, how’ve you been?” She wanted to know. Georgie smiled shyly at her. Despite knowing his sister more than any of his friends, Rex knew Georgie was starstruck by her. She was after all a famous actress. It was also rare for one to be out and about especially in a quiet neighborhood. Rex wondered if anybody else had noticed this. So far he hadn’t seen any passerby or people outside. Then he looked to see two people walking towards them and although it was a distance, Rex knew this wouldn’t be an ideal time for Lara to show her face. Not yet anyways. “I’m good,” He heard Georgie say. “Hey Lara, do you mind coming inside?” He asked her. His sister nodded, startled. “Sure, why not?”

The three of them started to walk towards the garage but not before she turned to Martin, her driver. “Hey Martin, make sure I don’t leave anything.” She said. The driver nodded as he headed back to the car. She had probably just had her luggage and bags in there. At least she was staying here but he wasn’t sure how his mom was going to take this. Not to say his mom wouldn’t be pleased. She had missed Lara a lot ever since she moved out when she turned in her twenties. It would only be six years later but to his mom and the others, it felt more then that. They headed inside the kitchen to see Rex’s mom was cutting up some meet on a cutting board. She wasn’t really looking at them as she was watching TV. Rex saw it was on the Food Network. It was his mom’s favorite channel since she loved to cook. She hadn’t noticed the door had closed behind her. “Hey Rex, Georgie, how was your day?” She asked them. The two of them smiled. They both looked at Lara, who smiled down at them. She put her hands to lips as if to tell not to reveal herself yet. Georgie nodded at Rex. “It was great, you know last day of school and all,” Rex explained casually. He wasn’t sure how he did. He saw Lara smile down at him. “That’s good, dearie. What are you guys up to now?” She asked, now getting some vegetables out and cutting them. Georgie and Rex looked at their sister.

“Now?” They mouthed to her. She nodded. Then the two of them and Lara walked towards her mom. They stopped next to her. "Hey mom,” Lara greeted her, smiling. “Oh hey Lara, how are—,” Then Mrs. Reedington looked up. Her face expression changed in a few seconds. One that had. “OH MY GOODNESS, IT’S REALLY YOU!” She yelled, dropping down her knife. It clanged on the cutting board, startling the three of them. “IS THAT REALLY YOU LARA?” She exclaimed, loudly. She held her daughter’s face in her hands. Georgie looked at Rex and the two of them tried not to snicker. Although if she kept raising her voice, Rex’s other siblings would hear and come rushing down. They would demand what to know what happen to her. Unless they had the stereo surround sound in full-blast. From what he could hear, the stereo was on really loud. Rex was glad to see them reunited. He knew how much their mom missed them. “Surprise!” Lara announced. The two of them hugged each other. He was about to say something when there were pounding footsteps. Oh man, here they come. Rex thought. It’s them.

It was on cue, that both Mack and Cliffton had rushed up the stairs and ran into the kitchen. Once they reached, Cliffton yelled: “Mom! Are you okay?” “We thought you had saw a spider!” He stopped in shock. Mack did so too, bumping into him. The two of them were shocked. “LARA?!” They cried at the same time. Like Rex and their mother, they were also surprised to see their sister home. Maybe more shock considering they had thought she was busy over the summer. “Hey boys,” She greeted them and clinking her heels, walked over to them. She pulled both of them into a hug. It was too much because Rex could hear Cliffton say, “Sis, your squishing me.” Lara released him, grinning. “Oh I’m sorry Cliff!” She turned to her family and smiled at them. “I have a surprise for you all but is dad and Eileen around?” She wanted to know. Rex had recalled Eileen was at a friend’s house and he wasn’t sure if his dad was home yet. He was probably at work. He knew his sister had wanted a reunion with all of her family though. He was about to say more when they suddenly heard voices from the garage.

Lara, her mom, and Mack all went to check it out. Cliffton, on the the otherhand had stayed back with Rex and Georgie in the kitchen. “So,” he said stretching. “Aren’t you surprise to see sis home?” He asked him. Rex nodded. He definitely was yet excited. He wondered what they were going to do once they got together. He looked at his best friend hoping she didn’t feel too left out. So far she smiled back as if to say it was okay. She had understood the situation with Lara. He wondered if his other best friends would too. So far the day had turned to be incredibly nice for a change. Then again, the last day of school had always been of his favorite days.

Later that day Georgie and Rex decided to go outside with Cliffton. Originally they would of helped Lara but she had her driver, her mom, and Mack helping her. Instead they were going to play Frisbee until Eileen and their dad got home considering Rex’s dad and Eileen was supposed to be home by lunch. Only then Cliffton had saw the hammock in the shades and made a beeline for it. Rex walked over to him just in time to see him snooze. He saw that his brother was hugging a stuffed Giraffe plush animal. It was Eileen’s but she left it outside and never returned to get it back. At least Rex knew where it was in case she wanted it again. “You’ve got to be kidding me, bro.” He commented watching his brother sleeping. Cliffton didn’t stir as Rex tried to wake him with many things. He even tried to snatch the Giraffe away from his brother. That didn’t help. His brother was a deep sleeper. Nothing can wake him up exception of probably a big explosion. He walked back to his best friend. “Guess we’re not playing Frisbee with him falling asleep,” He commented, nodding at his lazy brother. Georgie snickered at this. Cliffton’s laid-back attitude has always made her laugh.

Rex was about to suggest that maybe they go to the park when they heard, “Rex!” Somebody was calling his name. He looked around but saw nobody. “Rex, over here!” He turned to his right and squinted his eyes. The sun was somewhat blinding him. There, he saw a blonde haired girl walking running towards him. She was wearing a light blue T-shirt and white shorts. She also had pink sandals with a daisy on it. Her hair was up in a ponytail. She was definitely pretty but Rex hadn’t mentioned that to her. On the otherhand, she was also one of his other best friends. Her name was Shawna Mulberry. “Hey Shawna,” he greeted her. Shawna beamed at him. She wasn’t alone though. Rex saw she was accompanying another girl with red hair and was taller. She was Shawna’s older sister, Samantha. They were walking their dog, Goldie. A golden retriever that they had gotten from the local pound nearby. Shawna lived only a few houses away from him. “Hi Shawna!” Georgie greeted her. Shawna gave her a long stare but said nothing. “Hi…,” She said slowly. Samantha, on the otherhand, walked down to meet with them, Goldie sniffing his way towards them. The dog was a friendly one and Rex loved him. He wished his dog was there but they had him stay at his grandparents for reasons. “Hello Rex and Georgie, how are you guys?” Samantha asked once she reached them. Rex saw that Samantha was a few inches taller then him. “Anyways Rex,” Shawna said to him. “I was wondering if you wanted to come with me and Samantha to July Festivity?” She acted like she hadn’t seen anybody else. Her blue eyes were staring at his. Rex didn’t seem to catch the look she was trying to give him. Rex hoped he wasn’t busy on that day. He’d love to spend time with one of his friends before 4th of July or during that time. He did remember that he might go on a family vacation sometime in July. He tried to think about what his family said. He knew they loved it when he made plans with his friends so he wouldn’t stay at home and complain he was really bored. He didn’t think he had any plans.

“Sure, why not?” He replied. He hoped he wasn’t busy then. July Festivity was a lot of fun. He wondered if his best friend was coming too when he saw Samantha scowling at her sister. “Shawna, what’s wrong with you?” She said to her younger sister. “What did I do?” Shawna asked, clearly wondering why her sister was scolding her. Rex looked confused as well. What was going on? Samantha whispered something and Rex caught Georgie’s name. He to see that his best friend was looking away as if she hadn’t heard their voices. It was then Goldie barked and Samantha turned back to them. “I guess we got to go, Goldie’s getting hyper.” Then she turned to the both of them. “I’m sorry if my sister’s being rude to you,” She whispered to both of them especially Georgie. I’ll explain it to you later.” She whispered as Shawna walked away. She hadn’t said a goodbye as she was following their golden retriever. Rex looked confused and wondered what was going on. He wondered if Georgie and Shawna were rivals when he wasn’t around. To him, it was impossible. They had to be friends as well. They were friends with him. Rex watched as the Mulberry sisters walked away, taking Goldie with them.

It wasn’t until they were at the distance where Rex could see they were about to turn around the street, he turned to his best friend. “Hey are you okay? Did Shawn do something wrong?” He asked Georgie. She had been awfully quiet today. She didn’t say a word. “You know you’ve been kind of quiet,” He noted, watching her. Georgie sighed. “I know but I’m not sure why. As for Shawna, I know she doesn’t like me.” She explained. She saw there a look of hurt in her brown eyes. He wondered if something happened between the two. He could help them if she wanted him to. He knew how to deal with Shawn as well. “It’s fine,” She replied to him slowly. Fine? He didn’t think so. The way she was acting. It was very obvious she wasn’t fine. He had to talk to her about it. Too bad a sound of the door opening from inside interrupted them. They both turned their heads to see Lara looking out from the porch. Her outfit had completely changed from her fancy designer outfits to a nice summer dress that was white. She wore a pink cardigan over it. Her shoes were now chocolate-colored sandals instead of her usual designer brand names shoes as well. The only thing that was fancy was her small necklace with a small crystal on it. It was like she downgraded her wardrobe fully. “Hey guys!” She called to them. “We’re going to have a picnic!” The annual family picnic was usually held at Plaintracke Woods, a place where they had set up benches in random different areas. It also had a big lake called Lake Elmgrove, a nice hiking trail and a big field that lead to the woods. This was where Mack practiced playing Soccer if he didn't so in the family's backyard. The big field was where they usally sat.

At the sound of this, Cliffton, who had been snoozing in the hammock shot up. “DID SOMEBODY SAY PICNIC!?” He asked loudly. He was holding the giraffe in his arms as he did. Rex saw Lara trying not to giggle at the sight of this.
Cliffton loved picnics considering it was time where he could his family in ultimate Frisbee and eat his family’s home cooking. Lara nodded, closing the door behind her. Not long, she was followed by Cliffton who were rushing to get prepared to go to the picnic. He wondered if he could discuss it at the picnic when they had free time. Maybe there he would try to see what was up with Georgie and Shawna. “Are you coming?” Georgie asked, sounding excited all of sudden. It was as if she had suddenly forgotten about everything that had just happened. Rex knew he shouldn’t keep his family waiting. He was going to have to talk with Georgia on the matter later. “Yeah,” Rex said.

The two of them rushed after Cliffton. He was about to head in when he thought he saw a figure running past by. Wait was somebody watching him? He blinked. Nah, he was imagining things. She was probably just a figment of his imagination. He turned and went inside. He couldn’t wait to go on the picnic. It was going to be fun. Or so, he hoped.

While Reina and her friends ate and chatted in the cafe, they heard a sudden explosive sound nearby. Surprised, they looked at each other. "What do you think that was?" Amy asked nervously. "Was it from the kitchen? What if the cafe catches on fire?! We''ll be in danger, and the cafe would be burned down!" She cried, although Dania and Reina tried to keep her down. "Calm down." Dania said, as she ate the last few bits of her meal.

Reina had finished some time before the both of them, and smiled reassuringly at Amy. "I'm sure it's just some small matter. Besides, if the kitchen was on fire then people would be running out from there and telling us to get out of the cafe, right?" She explained. Amy looked at her with realization. "Oh, right." Amy said with a grin.

Amy finished her food not long after. They paid for their food and they went out of the cafe, and Reina smelled some change in the air. She looked around curiously. They walked a while until they froze. Not far from them was a destroyed McDonalds, with cops nearby and things on the floor...which looked like burnt dead bodies. Reina stopped breathing for a moment. "What...?" She asked as she looked at the sight.

Dania and Amy tugged on Reina's arm. "Reina, we better go..." Amy pleaded. Reina took a step towards Amy. She spotted someone holding up another person and glowing. He looked strange, she knew a normal human being wouldn't be able to glow that way. Not soon after she saw the entrance of a new person, with spiky black hair. He looked like... "Is that Zack?!" She asked.

Amy and Dania looked at the sight. "It's probably a cosplayer trying to act hero!" Dania said. "We better go before anything worse happens!" But Reina thought he looked too real to be a cosplayer. "Let's get a closer look." She said as she ran closer towards the scene. Amy and Dania called after her to stop, but Reina still wanted to have a closer look at the person who seemed to look like Zack. She was close to them, but she was hiding. There he was, Zack Fair. He looked so real. And there was a gruesome sight of a weird man holding up a girl, with another girl near. They were all so strange. "Seriously...?" She whispered to herself, watching what would happen next.

Kei turned and looked back only to see the strange man running to catch up to her and Aubrey. Right when he did catch up, he stopped, and pointed at the oncoming police cars. Kei stopped as well, wondering what he was going to do. Was he going to blow up the police cars next? "Kei dear, why did you run from me? I just wanted to have a nice chat, but you so rudely left and then even called the authorities!" The man then looked over at Aubrey. Kei froze, fearing the man was going to harm her friend. "I guess you weren't rude, but maybe I'll make you pay for what your friend here did."

Kei was about to say something to try and stop him, but before she could say anything the man looked back to her. "How about it Kei? Do you want to see your friend die? How about I cut her open and you watch her fresh blood gush from the orifices in her body?" The man suddenly grabbed Aubrey. Kei noticed that something on the man's back started changing. 'W-what kind of freak is this?!' she yelled in her mind. 'He blows up a fast food restaurant for no reason, and his body just starts changing... what the heck is he?!'

Kei started to stand up, pulling the small pocket knife from out of her back pocket. 'I don't know how this is going to help at all but... I have to do something! I can't just watch Aubrey get killed!' Right as she pulled it out and was about to attempt an attack, she saw a person running toward the scene. He looked strangely familiar somehow, but Kei didn't pay much attention to that.

"Hey! What do you think you're doing?!"

Kei mentally smacked her forehead. 'What is this idiot doing?! He doesn't even looks like he has a weapon... What help is he going to be?!'

The cops by now had finally driven up and circled around Asurya and the others as close as they could manage and another man whom Asurya recognized as he did many people also showed up, but he was a bit careless more than likely relying on force that was contained where as for Asurya, there were much more potent realities that could be used for actions.

“Well then what do we have here?? A hero maybe?? Or are you just somebody who’s a wannabe. I can’t really tell just yet, but first I’ll…”

The lead officer of the police who’d arrived on the scene yelled out, “Heyy don’t move or we’ll be authorized to use lethal force on you. Give up the girl and put your hands on your head…NOW!!!” Asurya looked coyly at Aubrey, whom seemed to have already passed out and then at Kei and then other guy before tossing Aubrey up into the air.

“Okay.” Turning his palms out toward the cops and one toward Zack which emitted in Zack’s direction a burst of kinetic forces bonded with photonic energy, undoubtedly slamming him away and causing harm, or burning him. There was a high chance that he’d even be blinded for a short time.

One would be amazed how fast this was all happening because before Aubrey’s body fell, he’d used his other hand to kill half the cops, they hadn’t been prepared for the invisible webs of magic that had started ripping into some of them, meshing them against heir own vehicles which also began to splinter and fall apart, the one furthest behind blowing up as the fuel tank was ruptured. Multiple bodies landed next to Kei as Asurya caught Aubrey in a grasp without physically touching her.

The worst seemed yet to come, as he held in his left hand a warped looking dagger that he’d pulled right out of the emblem they’d seen change on his back before.

Zack wanted to stop the slaughter that was going to happen, the cops didn't know what they were up against. Neither did Zack when he felt what like a large force coming out at him, starting to push him back making him tip over the tables that had been turned over, til he was overcome by the force.

He was pinned against the wall, his eyes had blurred from the pressure of the force that had put him there. Though it was only in his left eye, Zack could still see the creature dagger guy thing pull out a dagger from somewhere on his body. Now Zack knew he needed some sort of weapon.

Anything at all really would be a bit of help, if he could get close enough he could use his own force ability, though Zack doubted it would be as strong as what this guy used. Zack stood up trying to gain his balance by putting his good hand on an overturned table.

"Why? Why would you kill them? They didn't do anything to you so tell me why would you kill these people?" Zack said directed at the dagger guy. If he could get him distracted he could go for a side ways approach and use his fists to get a direct hit to this guys head. Though with the way that his eye was, he had at least a...forty percent chance of making contact the guy or just falling into blank air.

Though the odds for this guy were better than Zack's. He didn't really care what he was doing, weather it be killing people who looked to be security of some sort or blowing up restaurants. But then Zack had realized something.

His odds had lowered due to the fact that this guy had a hostage with him floating above the ground. Most likely some sort of ability the guy was using. Now Zack had to do something. He would wait til this guy gave him an answer, then he would destroy this guy and help the others that were still here. He had to find his sword, if he was to survive.

Reina had watched the whole thing happen before her eyes. The strange man who blew up McDonald's, the girl trying to defend herself and her friend, and Zack. Zack Fair! She thought in awe. Was it really him? Wasn't he just some character from a game?! She ran out and picked up a metal stick on the way. She didn't think it would help at all, but she felt more secure holding something rather than nothing at all.

She ran towards Zack. "Why do you look like Zack?!" She asked. She was more excited seeing him than what was happening around her at the moment. But he looked a little different, as if he was trying to see, and he didn't have his sword. It still didn't stop her from being excited. Her excitement didn't last long when she turned to face the man who had everything in his control. She felt nervous and she looked at the girl who pointed her pocket knife towards him.

Reina wasn't trying to be pessimistic, but she doubt that the knife would do much to him. She couldn't say much about herself too, since she's holding some metal stick she found on the ground. She just didn't think any of them had a chance of defeating this guy. She looked at Zack. But he didn't have a sword. And if he was just some guy cosplaying as Zack, he wouldn't have abilities that would affect that strange man.

She looked around the place. It was a disaster. It was depressing. There were dead bodies and rubble. It was nothing like the McDonald's that she remembered. And she didn't even know why she wasn't so afraid of the man before her. Maybe she just couldn't believe what was happening right now to be absolutely real.

Asurya didn’t bother to answer Zack’s questions as calculating the situation and planning much more mayhem was all he was concerned about. So instead of doing anything to Aubrey or the other cops, or Zack for that matter; instead Asurya looked both ways up and down the avenue they were on and chuckled, laying Aubrey softly on the ground and turning to face the new girl and Zack, but keeping note of Kei and her dagger.

“Alright then, since all of you have so much valor, I’ll let you in on a little secret, all of this so far hasn’t been entirely real, or at least not set in stone. I can easily revive any of the beings around here that I’ve killed so far and will do so if you all manage to survive my game.”

He looked at Zack and grinned. “Now we’ll battle and I’ll likely reserve my forces and actively grant yours Zack since you apparently are freaking out of the aspects of not being able to use your abilities and having loss of your sword right??” As he concluded, Zack’s sword showed up and dropped into the ground a few feet from the young man.

Then Asurya turned to the women and sighed. “You can fight if you desire, or merely run away, I’m sure you don’t trust me, but I won’t go after you if you decide to flee, but if you stay it’s in your better interests as you may end up with whatever it is you desire after the fact…”

It was then that a material base shot out of Asurya’s open mouth and exploded into the sky, a moment after a creature had dropped down, a summon that Asurya had bonded with and it looked more than aggravated… It roared and swiped at Zack instantly.

He looked at the girl who had spoken to him about being a look alike. Was it possible that there was someone that looked like him? Doubtful but since he was in a different world it was possible.

But before Zack could tell the girl the dagger guy began to speak. Had he just guessed at to what his name was or did he think that the girl said his name? Not to mention how was it possible that he could make things appear out of thin air?

Zack bent down to his sword, and to his slight amazement it was an actual sword that he was familiar. Zack got into his fighting position making sure that the girl that talked to him before was behind him.
"Stay behind me." He said turning his head slightly before looking at the monster's hand coming straight at him.

Good thing Zack had picked up his sword, cause he used it to block the swipe although the force that the monster had was amazingly strong so he was pushed almost across the street into the next building. Luckily before he went flying, Zack bent down slightly so he could drag his hand to slow himself.

The friction built up in his hands and Zack charged at the Beast.
"Fire!" Zack yelled sending a large fireball from the hand towards the beast. It was simply a distraction so he could get around to the the main guy. This guy was twisted making people play his games.

Everything was happening so fast. The mysterious man that had blown up the McDonald's had also crushed the police men, and a girl ran up to the man that had decided to play the hero in this situation.

"Why do you look like Zack?!"

Kei finally came to a realization; this man looked exactly like Zack Fair. He was one of her favorite Final Fantasy characters of all time! But Kei couldn't accept the fact that it could be the real Zack Fair, not even with all of this weird stuff going on. It had to be some kind of cosplayer that took on Zack's personality. While she was stuck in her own thoughts, the man who had Aubrey set her gently on the ground. Kei looked at him strangely. Did he have a sudden change of heart?

“Alright then, since all of you have so much valor, I’ll let you in on a little secret, all of this so far hasn’t been entirely real, or at least not set in stone. I can easily revive any of the beings around here that I’ve killed so far and will do so if you all manage to survive my game.”

'A... game?' Kei thought, still suspicious, 'Whatever game this guy has in mind has got to be sick.' The man turned to the Zack lookalike and said something, before a sword just randomly showed up in front of him. The man then turned towards the two girls. “You can fight if you desire, or merely run away, I’m sure you don’t trust me, but I won’t go after you if you decide to flee, but if you stay it’s in your better interests as you may end up with whatever it is you desire after the fact…” Suddenly, not even a few seconds after the man had finished speaking, something came out of his mouth and exploded in the sky. A huge creature emerged. Kei stared at it wide-eyed. 'T-that reminds me of a summon...' She thought, before shaking her head. 'No, that can't possibly be it. Why am I thinking so irrationally?' Then for a few brief moments she thought about what the man had said before. She could always grab Aubrey and run, but she thought that maybe she should stay just in case...

Kei, determined, grabbed Aubrey and attempted to move her to a safer area. She didn't want anything else to possibly harm her friend. After she set her down by a nearby tree, she looked for something better to fight with. A pocket knife wouldn't do much against a huge creature like that.

---

Hiroshi had heard the explosion nearby, and pinpointed it to an area not too far away from where he was. 'Didn't Kei and Aubrey head over in that direction...?' He started to become worried. What if they got caught up in whatever that was? He was about to run over to where the sound came from when he thought about what might've caused the explosion. 'It was probably something in a building that went off... But... What if it was a person? I wouldn't be much help unarmed...' He looked back to his house. It wasn't too far away; only a few yards. He grabbed Haru and sprinted for the house, before opening the door and setting the dog on the ground. He looked around for some kind of weapon, before turning his thoughts to the gun he had in his room. He didn't keep it locked up since Kei was old enough to know how to be responsible with guns.

Hiroshi ran into his room and searched through some drawers before finally finding what he was looking for. He pulled out a pistol and some ammunition before stuffing them in his pocket. He ran out of the house, and toward the place where he heard the explosion.

It was after finally packing their belongings and managing to cram it in the family's white Lexus SUV, they had decide to drive to the park in it and it would a total of six people in the back and two people in the front. They were waiting for Lara to choose the transportation she wanted. It was conflicting for Lara mostly considering she was a huge celebrity and nobody could see her unless they were able to hide her away from the mob. She definitely need privacy too as this was her time to spend with people she knew and loved. Her family. Originally they had decided the limo was a good idea but Lara declined, saying it might attract some kind of attention and Mack suggested his car even though they all knew he was just trying to be friendly. That plan didn't work well too much considering Mack couldn't hold more then five people in his Porsche including himself. They all finally chose the family's white Lexus SUV. At first the driver was a bit reluctant about this at first but Lara promised she'll be hidden plus she'd be with her family. Her mom also explained that she'd be driving so that he can rest. So it was settled. They were on their way.

Once they were in the car, Mack had turned to the backseat and started a conversation with Cliffton and Lara, Rex turned to Georgia. Ignoring looking out the window. He had seen alot of what outside from many occasions of taking the bus and driving with his family/friends in his city. "Hey look, I'm sorry about what happened earlier," he said quietly to her as they drove past a house or two. They were driving on an open street where many houses, buildings, and trees were breezing by. The park was about at least 30 minutes away from where they lived. It seemed like a perfect ordinary day to Rex. "What are you talking about?" Georgia asked. She looked thoroughly confused. "You know about Shaine and how she excluded you and such," He told her. Georgie didn't say anything but nodded.

"Look, it's f--," but Rex interrupted her. "No, it's not. Your my best friend and I don't think you should of been left out."

"Thanks Rex for looking out for me as a brother." Georgie felt practically like his sister after all. A sister he would treat as an equal in his family as he did with his other siblings. He was about to respond when they heard: "Dudeeeeeee!" It was Cliffton. He was looking out the window. Rex looked out too. He saw that they were now on Tripper Street was in full view and this was where they were passing a few chain stores like Marshall's and Target's and local chain restaurant including the likes of Arby's and McDonald's. Except McDonald's look as if it had been demolished and destroyed. The buildings were in pieces and cars were rushing to get out of there. Rex saw the source of there a terror: a humongous and ferocious looking monster.
Whoa. Mack, Lara, and Cliffton who were sitting in the back seat all turned to look at the window as well. The only people who had not noticed anything was their mom driving and Lara's driver who was sitting in the front, lost in a talk about a cheesy comedy movie they watched.

"Oh yes" Mrs. Reedington said driving behind what seemed like a traffic. Of course, she hadn't noticed anything different. Her eyes were glued on the road mainly. There were cars in front of her and they were moving slowly or had stopped. They were in a traffic. Rex, on the otherhand, saw the source of the traffic: a big creature was hovering over the parking lot. Not to mention the place looked like it was crumbled to pieces as if a big bouncing ball had crushed it to small fragments. This wasn't good. Was that why he and Georgie had heard explosions earlier? Did McDonald's really explode? If so, he wondered

He saw the traffic was probably people fleeing from McDonald's as well as people leaving the restaurants and stores located nearby. If this was the case, he wouldn't blame them. They were terrified for their lives. He, on the otherhand, was curious. The creature had its mouth open and was possibly making some kind of sound at what seemed like a girl standing there with a Zack Fair cosplayer. Rex couldn't hear it though. The Zack Fair cosplayer looked as if he were holding a ball of fire but Rex couldn't make out what he was doing from where he was. They were farther away.

"Hey who is the weirdo with black spiky hair doing?" Cliffton wondered out loud. "Is he from some freak animango convention?" Rex saw Georgie roll her eyes and heard Mack sighing. Unlike them and Rex, Cliffton wasn't into anything involved with Japanese culture with exception of probably food and what he learned in school. Nonetheless, he made fun of Rex for liking anime and Mack for tolerating Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. His mom who had been stopped by the traffic looked over at it upon hearing this.

"Oh my gosh, are they putting a circus or a monster exhibit?" Mrs. Reedington said staring at it. She was smiling. They all stared at her as if she announced she was growing antlers on her head.

"Seriously mom, that does not look like a circus," Lara replied from the backseat.

"The only freak out there is that monster trying to destroy the likes of Plaintracke," Mack responded rather calmly. Unlike the others, he had to be calm in this situation. Rex had no idea why though. Their mom went back to looking at the monster.

"Somehow, that creature is baaaaaaad news," Rex heard Clifffton mutter to Lara.

"I agree as well. I mean considering that thing is totally gigantic," Lara said softly. She looked worried all of a sudden. "I have no feeling that's a fake either, I mean look at the size!" Her eyes widened. Her mom on the otherhand, just looked at it again, scrunching her eyes.

"Oh my," She exclaimed, laughing. "It does look scary but it's probably just some animatronic monster."

Lara's limo driver who had been talking to her was now on the phone, not even noticing what the family was staring at. He was sitting and telling somebody on the phone. They were in traffic. Rex was relieved he couldn't hear this conversation going on. He knew what would happen if they did. Lara would be gone in minutes, let alone, seconds and the family couldn't be trusted for her safe-keeping.

"What those two people thinking, they're going to get killed!" Georgie exclaimed. Rex saw the creature was stomping towards the two people were on the ground, looking up at it ready to fight. He saw that the Zack Fair cosplayer was trying to do something. The girl next to him was watching and seemed to be looking in his direction. Rex couldn't tell what they were saying but somehow he knew they were conversing amongst each other. What was going to happen!?

It was then in a low voice, Mack said: "Guys, we need to have a meeting." He mentioned for Georgie, Rex and his other siblings to move lean close to him.

"We can't just let that monster destroy everything," he said as they leaned in.

He was right. The monster was a really huge threat for the small city. But what can they do about it? "Do you propose a plan?" Lara asked, sounding somewhat excited at this. Everybody looked at her in surprise. Lara, usually, the girlie one wasn't the one to join in a fight or anything relating to battling any creatures.

After a few minutes of startled reactions to this, Rex was the first to speak. He surprised himself. "I agree, what do we do?" Everybody else nodded.

"I've dealt with events like this and plus," he whispered. "I have a way to deal with it."

"You gotta be kidding me!" Cliffton cried out loud. He laughed. His laughter got Mrs. Reedington to stare in their direction. The others did too and glared at Cliffton to shut up. He cleared his throat. "I mean, cool story bro." He said for his mom to hear.

Once she turned away, he stopped. "Sorry but seriously bro!? How so?" Rex, Lara, and Georgie looked at Mack as if they were waiting for him to respond. Mack sighed. "Yes but I can't explain it now, you shall see later." Then he discussed the plan.

The plan had involved that since he and Rex were both sitting near the exit of the doors, the two could go out one of the doors. They chose to go out of Mack's side of the door considering it was on right and it was in the direction of McDonald's. It also involved the two of them to unbuckle themselves, crouch down, and get out of the car. They had to do this swiftly yet quietly. Mack told his other siblings and Georgie that there had to stay just in case while they went out and do their part. Of course Cliffton wanted to join them as well but Lara and Mack said no considering he needed to be with the girls. That and he had to help them in case anything happened to them and their mom.

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Lara pondered. She looked nervous.

Mack looked firm and nodded once. Rex knew whenever his brother did so. He was always serious. No matter the consequences. Mack nodded. "Yes and I wish I can explain more but we have to destroy whatever that thing is." He told each of them.

Rex wanted to go but he wasn't sure what he was to do. Nevertheless, if he couldn't win a battle against a big creature, let alone, he could win one with a big terrifying creature who was now trying to destroy several cars in the parking lot.

"But what if we have no powers?" He heard himself ask. He knew it sounded pathetic but it was true in this case.

"Don't worry about it," Mack said. "Remember I'll take control. I'm going to distract the monsters. Rex you are to help the people escape to somewhere else."

"So what's going to happen?" Lara asked, nodding in her mom and the driver's direction. The car was now moving considering the traffic was starting to clear up. Finally. Than again, this wasn't a good sign either. They had to help Zack Fair cosplayer and the girl.

"Not all of us are going to leave," Mack told her. "I'm going and so is Rex." He nodded at Rex. Why me? Rex thought, wondering what he could possibly do in this situation.

"What about me? Am I coming with?" Lara asked. She seemed excited now to join in. "No way, sis. Seriously this is dangerous for you to handle," Mack said. "You, Lara, and Georgie have to stay here with Cliff. Somehow mom's more likely to see you in a few and if you come with," he said to Lara. "Mom and Frank are going to seriously be flipping out at you being gone." Lara looked disappointed. Rex wondered if Mack had control over his older sister for the first time. Usually Lara declared she was the eldest and would make most of the decisions.

"Fine but you must promise me something," She said to him. "What?" She folded her arms and looked at him the eye. "Since I'm the oldest and responsible for at least Rex. I want the you two to know that if you can't fight it off whatever that big monster thing is, you must run away." She told him. Mack was a silent for awhile but Rex could see her point. "Even if you have to look like chickens waddling away from the scene." Lara added. She smiled at him. Rex saw that Cliffton and Georgie were trying not to smirk at this. It was one of the funniest thing Rex had heard her say in years.

"Don't worry sis, we'll
waddle like chickens if that does happen," Mack replied, sighing. He turned to Rex. "You game?"

Rex wasn't sure what to say. Everybody was looking at him. It was as if they were depending on him. He felt somewhat like a chicken considering he had never seem to stand up to a bully. He wasn't sure if he could handle the monster but he remembered Mack's plan. They had to be out of the car and do what was instructed. If only there was an easy way. Fine, if he had to help those people, then he would. At least he wouldn't be the one doing the fighting. Not yet although some part of him yearned to.....for some strange reason. He shook the thought.

"Yeah, I'm game." He said and the two brother hit fist with each other.

Rex could see their mom looking at their rear view mirror. Rex hoped she couldn't hear anything but the smile assured him that she was probably oblivious to this. They started moving slowly again and quicker this time. It was than they heard from their mom say, "Finally, now we're rolling!"

Mack put up two fingers and pointed at the door as the signal for them to go outside. Now. Mack was in action already as he slowly unbuckled himself and slowly crouched down as the car started moving. He opened his door and before Rex knew it, he was gone. Rex quickly imitated him, now crawling onto the floor, he passed Georgie's feet where he heard whisper, "Good luck Rex," he said. The car kept moving but Rex fell onto the ground on the cement. He heard the door close behind him as Mack rushed over to him. It felt like everything was in a blur of motion. As Mack helped him up, the two both rushed over quickly in the direction of the furious monster. This could get ugly but somehow Rex felt reassured that he wasn't the one doing the fighting or even volunteering to do so. As they came closer to the monster, it turned its head to see them.

The monster turned to Mack who yelled, "HEY BIG BOY! OVER HERE!" He then started doing a back flip that Rex would never saw him fully accomplished before. Unless he took Gymnastics....but that was impossible. Mack never even did Gymnastics. He watched as the monster followed Mack flipping around on the ground of a crumbled McDonald's, distracting the monster. Whistling at it, as if he wanted it to fight it. This was too weird yet cool. He thought as he watched his brother handling the situation so far. He looked at the others, they were watching at him in disbelief and shock as if they came out of nowhere. He was pleased to know that the adventure was getting started and paced himself over to them.

"Hey guys!" He called to them......

Avalon only chased the man because it was amused that they were all plotting. Its forces cosmic weren't yet obvious, but they would be in the next few seconds. The fire spell from Zack was like child's play to Avalon and as such it took the spell head on and just continued with its mini rampage.

"Stop." The deep voice of Avalon reverberated through the parking lot. "it hadn't been a command however, but a spell and as such the man nearest had been frozen in place, the magic working effectively and instantly. Asurya watched and didn't do anything at first, but then thought how unfair the situation could get to the others, so with a flux of essence and a combination of the worlds forces that seemed to be working already; mainly due to the acrobatic flips being pulled off, everyone who didn't have powers had obtained them.

Asurya laughed, "That's friggin sweet." He watched as Avalon chuckled and bounded at the man caught in the stop spell and then rushed up to wack him away with its paw. "Oooh!!! Looks like it hurt." Not slowing down and running forward, surya jumped toward Zack and put his palm out. "Thunder." A thick stream of lightning shot forth from his hand, and another one dropped from the sky.

"This is going to be fun."
