You have to be good enough to get the degree, but you technically aren't required to be any better. The level of getting the degree is pretty much the bare minimum.

Making the game and playing the game are two different things. Everything is different when you actually do it in reality. While Nomura had created the concept of the game and oversaw everything, even if he knows what to do, it may not work out.

It's like drawing a picture. You know what to do, and what you want it to look like, but in the end, it just doesn't turn out the way you expected.

Besides, he never actually said he was bad at the game. Just that that particular enemy was annoying and his strategy didn't work.

Anyone expecting BbS to be hard is in for a disappointment.
It's not going to be.

If they were worried about TAV being too overpowered, then you should be worried too. They never once talked about Sora being overpowered in KH2, and look how that turned out.
Nomura constantly talks about it as a game (difficulty-wise) that anyone can pick up and play.
So while it hopefully won't be as easy as they made it out to be earlier in development, I don't expect this game to be any more challenging than KH2 (in general, of course, as I'm sure the secret boss, at the very least, will prove a challenge).

The only thing I'm hoping for is that they actually space out the goddamn difficulties. All KH2 needed was increased damage, a la KH2FM. Don't make a game where a casual gamer can play comfortably on all difficulties, it defeats the purpose of having difficulties in the first place. Hard modes should be hard, no surprise there.

So if TAV really are that overpowered, the only thing you can hope for is that they jack up enemy health and damage.

People with CFW have acess to cheat devices used online.
A common use of it is to have unlimited health and one shot kills.
CFW enables cheating >_>
Who wants to make a game where cheating is so common and the fact is to stop it youd have to update it every day or week or so to stop it.

I still don't see how that makes it such a big deal to add infrastructure.
Just look at PC gaming- plenty of online, plenty of mods/hacks/cheating, but that doesn't stop them from making the games online compatible.

If people cheated on BbS online, so what, better to have it filled with cheaters than to not have it at all.

That was a bad example poorly thought up in like one minute

But the idea is that even if you know how things are supposed to go, it's different than actually doing it. He knows how to play the game since he designed it, but when he's playing it, it just doesn't go the way he expected.

First of all, thanks Lissar.

Second of all, to all the people who don't get WHY Nomura could suck at his own game, look up and try and figure out the phrase: Easier said than done. It is almost exactly like that. He could be the best artist or programmer in the world, but that still doesn't mean he has the skill neccissary to do in-game what he was able to do whilst directing.

Thirdly: the Nomura translator is amazing. You just forgot a couple:
