1. Peter Pan
World: Neverland
Location: Ruined remains of the Lost Boys' home.
Party: Hook
Minions: Pirates
Music: New Disney Heroes Boss track (henceforth, DHB for short)
With Maleficent having lost control of the heartless (see below), she has resorted to forming a new army with a reformed villain alliance as the leadership. After recruiting Vanitas for this purpose, she starts with reaching out to surviving former members Hook & Hades, who only agree to rejoin if the party can aid in their personal issues. In Hook's case, he wants them to finish off the Pan.
Abilities:
-Same moves as in BBS
-Uses a pan flute to fire off killer music notes a la Symphony Master
-Dive bomb attack
-Creates whirlwinds by flying in a circle
Desperation Move: Lands on grounds & teams up with his shadow for double-team attacks
Weaknesses:
-Shadow disappears in shaded areas of the battlefield
-Gravity spell pulls Pan to the ground
Defeated & homeless, Pan & the Lost Boys retreat from Neverland & hide out inside the clock tower (of course you're not going to actually
kill the hero characters you fight!). Hook, happy to have Neverland completely under his control, agrees to aid Maleficent with his pirate crew when the time comes.
2. Hercules
World: Mount Olympus
Location: Thebes
Music: DHB
This scenario reenacts the third act of the movie, with VMP taking the place of the cyclops. After journeying to the prison of the titans & using Vanitas' keyblade to free them, Hades takes the titans to Olympus while sending VMP to deal with Herc.
Abilities:
-Due to the altered sequence of events from the film (IE Hades using Vanitas to spring the titans instead ahead of time instead of waiting for the right day), Herc has never made a deal to give up his powers for a day & thus the player has to deal with him in all his demi-god might.
-Will grab stone columns to swing around
Weaknesses:
-Maleficent can conjure replicas of the poison that sapped Herc of his godhood, these are how the player breaks Herc out of his invulnerable state. However these take time to make, Herc can interrupt the process, & Pete's forcefields are no good for protection (see:KH2), so the player must do what he can to draw Herc's attention.
Just when it seems like Herc is down for the count, SDG rushes in with cure spells. Yeah as it turns out they've been investigating the whole heartless acting strangely situation themselves & are a reoccurring presence in the game. After a stand-off, both parties start running towards Olympus after Pete stupidly lets out that's where the real battle is.
3. Zeus
Location: Olympus throne room
Party: Hades
Minions: Centaur warriors
Music: Vim & Vigor
While SDG & Herc are too busy fighting the titans, Hades tries to salvage the invasion by focusing his remaining forces (himself & VMP) on Big Z himself.
Abilities:
-Massive in size, Zeus can bitch-slap away the minions.
-Can throw lightning bolts, which don't just damages but stuns as well.
-The trademark godhood invulnerability is in effect. & it would take too long for Maleficent to make enough poison to affect the king of the gods.
Weaknesses:
-A reaction command lets Vanitas put his keyblade in the "ground", which then acts as a lightning rod that absorbs Zeus' bolts. Charged with Zeus' own power, the player can then break the invulnerability state.
4. Mulan
World: Land of Dragons
Location: Palace rooftop
Party: Shun Yu
Minions: Huns
Music: DHB
Seeking new allies, Maleficent decides that a great warlord is needed to lead her growing army in the coming battle. She revives Shun Yu for that purpose, who naturally only has conquest & revenge on his mind.
Abilities:
-Sword fighting
-Uses a silk scarf to tie up a party member, requiring a RC if it's the player.
-Mushu sits on her head & shoots fire.
-Mulan can combine the above 3 attacks to crowd control the whole party: she & Mushu each focusing on a party member while the 3rd is tied up.
5. Genie
World: Agrabah (shut up I like this world)
Location: Outside of front gates
Party: Jafar
Minions: Mamluks
Music: Desire for All That is Lost
While Maleficent is hesitate about reviving past allies after the mess with Oogie, Pete convinces her that a wish granting can have its uses. Then it turns out the revived Jafar isn't a genie anymore, sucks for them. Anyway Jafar hatches a scheme to lure Aladdin into a trap by having Vanitas masquerade as Sora. However Genie is too much of a cosplaying expert to fall for Vanitas' disguise.
Abilities:
-This battle is somewhat similar to the Timeless River Pete in that Genie keeps changing the location & his form with it.
Phase 1-Genie in his regular state. Shoots magic projectiles that resemble his cloud form when leaving the lamp.
Phase 2-Location changes to boxing ring. Genie is now impersonating Rocky & throwing punches.
Phase 3-Location changes to indian village, Genie becomes a totem pole made of his heads, each rotating in different directions & spewing fire.
Phase 4-Scenery changes to War World 2 battlefield & Genie is Patton in a tank. Both tank cannon & mounted machine gun are his weapons.
-Genie is impervious to magic in all forms.
6. Aladdin
Location: Palace rooftop (Seems to be a theme)
Party: Jafar
Music: DHB
Abilities:
-Sword skills
-Acrobatics
-Flies on Carpet
-Able to fire residual magic energy from Genie's lamp
Weaknesses:
-Vulnerable to lots of magic
7. Goliath
World: Castle Wyvern
Location: Is it another castle rooftop? Tell me it's not. Oh thank God it's a courtyard!
Party: Xanatos
Minions: Steel Clan
Music: DHB
Because why not a Gargoyles world? Vanitas recalls that Xanatos was a man whom MX had gone to for his research on ancient events. VMP reach out to Xanatos if he knows anything from those studies that could account for the heartless turning on their masters.
Abilities:
-Claw attack
-Tackle
-Grabbing Vanitas & Gliding him into a wall
-Grabbing a party member & throwing at another member
-Aero cast from his wings
Weaknesses:
-Vulnerable to Break spell
8. Leon & guards
World: Radiant Garden
Location: Radiant Garden SeeDs Command Center
Party: Kuja
Minions: Black Mages
Music: Black Powder
After the fiasco with MCP, Leon shut down the RG defense system & put together a new militia called the Radiant Garden SeeDs (honestly, its a wonder they haven't use that pun already) to replace it. This is actually the 2nd trip to RG, the 1st time ending in a heartless boss. Maleficent wants to get into Ansem's castle to see if she can learn anything about why she can no longer control heartless from Xehanort's research. On the 2nd visit a travelling weapons dealer named Kuja offers his unique brand of weaponry called Black Mages to help fight their way through the SeeDs.
Abilities:
-Largely the same as in past KH games.
-Protected by a squad of SeeDs.
Hurt but not down Leon gives a speech about how when he ran from RG years ago he had forsaken his name out of shame. But in rebuilding RG he was starting to consider going by his real name again. Standing upright, he proclaims he is Squall Leonhart & will never again allow his world to overun by darkness. A rather familiar sounding piece of music is playing during this whole speech...
9. Squall & Shiva
Music: The Extreme
Abilities:
-Squall has replaced his revolver gunblade with Lion Heart, which deals lots more damage.
-He also summoned Shiva to fight alongside him.
-Uses moves from Dissidia such as Fated Circle & Blasting Zone.
-Shiva uses ice spells, heal Squall, & encase him in an ice shell that only shatters when she is defeated.
Weaknesses:
-Shiva is of course weak to fire. Maleficent's dragon in particular would make short work of her.
However the arrival of SDG & other RG heroes still forces the party into retreat. Kuja stands behind to keep up the war of attrition with RG.
10. Horned King
World: Prydain
Location: Throne room
Party: Sora
Minions: Broomsticks
Music: Squirming Evil
The cause of the heartless' actions is eventually traced back to the Horned King, whose been using the power of the Black Cauldron to seize complete control over all heartless (just pretend that's a thing the Cauldron does, ok?). Vanitas & Sora forge an uneasy alliance to deal with a common foe. Thus the combined numbers of 2 parties fight their way through Prydain, encountering all of the heartless types from the previous worlds in 1 place. They even have to fight through multiple heartless bosses along the way, including one in the throne room that acts as Horned King's bodyguard right before facing HK himself.
Abilities:
-Wields a sword in battle. This is a minor callback to the book version of him.
-Can call his huntsmen & heartless for reinforcements.
-When half of his HP is gone, he'll start riding on a gwythiant, which has its own HP that must be depleted.
Nearly dead, Horned King draws power from the Black Cauldron to revive him.
11. Phantom Horned King

Abilities:
-Spread-out fireballs
-Lightning that surrounds him
-Turns into a tornado that sweeps the room
-Brings down chunks of the ceiling. He can only do this a limited number of times. After he does this too much, a timer appears on the screen indicating how much time the player has left to finish the fight until the whole castle collapses.
The castle destroyed & HK dead, the status quo seems to be restored. However...
12. Cauldron Reborn Horned King
Location: Castle ruins
Music: The Deep End
Geez this guy doesn't know when to fold 'em. HK saved himself at the last moment by falling into the Black Cauldron. He now appears as an incorporeal skeleton engulfed in fire (the look is based on a freeze frame moment from the film).
Abilities:
-Many fire related moves, such as fireballs, fire pillars, or a flying fire serpent that seeks targets.
-Can not be hit by physical attacks, the party must use spells on him.
-Immune to fire magic obviously, but Blizzard magic is not a weakness.
-Simply being too close to him will damage a party member (being on fire & all that)
-In fact at the beginning of battle, the fire is so strong your spells won't even go through it.
Weaknesses:
-Light-based spells in Sora's arsenal
are his weakness.
-The broom minions Sora can summon can put out HK's body flames with their buckets of water, though there's a high chance of them catching on fire themselves.
At long last Horned King is dead for good & the Black Cauldron is too far buried to be retrieved by anyone ever again. The disney villains regain their control over the heartless & darkness, leading to new upgrades in both minion summoning & boss drive for all party members. VMP & SDG agree to a truce out of respect for their temporary alliance....
Which VMP decides to break the moment SDG leave. They're jerks like that.
13. Disney Town Defense Boss Rush
World: Disney Town/Castle
Location: All over the place
Music: A Fight to the Death
Maleficent gathers all of the other villains & their forces into Hook's ship with which a full scale invasion upon King Mickey's homeworld is launched. Disneytown becomes a warzone with pirates, huns, & other minions waging war with musketeers, broomsticks, & mini gummi ship drones (a new invention of Chip & Dale). Each guest party member is deployed to a different areas of the world, giving the player a chance to utilize each of their newly unlocked boss drives as he moves through the world.
With everything going to shit, Mickey goes to a last resort plan & teleports in allies from other worlds to help. Hence boss rush, each area has both a different guest party member & boss to fight again.
Raceway-Xanatos vs. Goliath
Fruitball Court-Captain Hook vs. Peter Pan
Main Plaza-Hades vs. Hercules
Courtyard-Shun Yu vs. Mulan
Colonnade-Jafar vs. Aladdin
Audience Chamber-Kuja vs. Squall
The end goal is the Cornerstone of Light, which when destroyed will allow Maleficent's heartless to swarm the world. SDG, along with Minnie & others, are working to evacuate as many citizens from the world with the fleet of gummiships in the hanger. The King however takes a "captain goes down with the ship" stance & makes his last stand in the cornerstone chamber.
14. King Mickey (at this point, this game concept will never get never past Disney's approval)
Location: VMP are trapped in an illusion of them standing on a large open book slowly orbiting a whirlpool.
Music: Master, Tell me the Truth
Mickey appears in his sorcerer rope & hat. He hovers in the air, the Kingdom Key D & Starseeker flap behind him effectively acting as his "wings". Don't even ask how he can use both at the same time, I don't know & this is running on pure rule of cool.
Abilities:
-Shoots star shaped projectiles from his hands
-Flying tackle while engulfed in light
-A series of 3 light pillars that that quickly spring from random spots on the book
-Creates a sphere of light over his head that he throws to the center of the book, which makes a big explosion.
-Twin beams of light fired from his keyblade wings.
-Once a 3rd of his HP is gone, Mickey will sometimes change tactics by landing & dual-wielding keyblades. He can move extremely quickly & is basically like giving Yoda a 2nd lightsaber.
-Dual Strike Raid, which has the keyblades end to end for a double sized boomerang.
-At the final HP third point, Mickey stays in the air & creates illusions in the form of his musketeer & Julius-possessed selves. This illusions have a single bar of HP each.
Desperation Move: The starry sky isn't just a background, Mickey'll bring all of the stars down on the party. Reminiscent of Xenmas' final attack.
So anyway Mickey is finally beaten down & uses his star shard as an emergency escape. A shift in the series status quo begins: Disney Castle is now Maleficent's domain (& now you know the site of her final battle) while the world's refugees move into Traverse Town which reappears for them. At this point the Disney plot of the game ends & whatever's the original characters story takes over again, bringing the game to its ultimate conclusion. Since I don't really know what the heck that story is, let's just jump to the final boss.
Final Boss. Sora, Donald, & Goofy

Well of course after a whole game of building up the
Psycho Rangers dynamic of VMP being a dark version of the SDG party that it was inedvitable this clash would go down.
Abilities:
Phase 1
-SDG fight with the range of attacks & spells they are known for including glide & team-up moves.
-Donald & Goofy have limited HP through out the whole fight but can be revived by Sora.
Phase 2-Sora now uses flowmotion attacks
Phase 3-Sora starts using drive forms, eventually cycling through all 4
Final Phase
Music: The Key
A last 1-on-1 between Sora & Vanitas, or rather a 4-on-1. Sora is calling on the hearts of Roxas, Xion, & Ventus to help him in this fight. Thus Sora is decked out in Ven's armor sans helmet and dual-wielding Oblivion & Oathkeeper.
