an anti-AT field?!!....nooooooo!
First off, no hating in this thread, I just want to know what others think.
-------------------------------
With that said and done, is the bible contradicting itself? I think I found one, and I'll put why I think it is...

God created angels, yes? They were made to love God for eternity, not questioning why. Heres what I don't get, he also created Lucifer, the one who would later try and become greater than God himself. Wouldn't that mean he hated him then?

Back-up #1: "Maybe the bible has some contradictions"
My bible teacher tells me it doesn't contradict itself, yet heres one, a major contradiction.

Back-up#2: " Maybe the angels had a choice?"
If they had a choice, then the bible is lying to us, as it is never mentioned. Also, if they really did have the choice to either love God or not, then why did he create us?

Back-up#3: " So what if the bible made a little mistake, it was only off by one angel."
That would still be a contradiction, and that one angel would become evil incarnate, one-third of the angels joining him.

Back-up#4: " What if Lucifer/satan still loves God?"
He is pulling all his resources to abolish Christianity in all its forms, thus removing God, I would not say he loved him. He's not even trying to convert everyone into satanism, he just wants Christianity gone...

Feel free to discuss this here, and also post the contradictions you found...

This is just more proof that the Bible has most likely been fabricated. -_-

OKay, here's what I think. It is very true that the Bible was written by man. However, we that worship God through the Bible believe different things about the Bible. Some Christians believe that God inspired the people that wrote the Bible, directly influencing them which is why we do what the Bible says and not what other religious books say. Others believe that God dicated to them (not me). And others believe other things about the Bible. I believe the first one about, God inspiring the people directly.

My point being that the Bible IS full of contradictions. However, that is because like all people, the writers of the Bible could only grasp so much about God. They wrote what they were inspired to write, and we have no way of knowing why they wrote it that way. As for the contradiction of Lucifer and the Angels, we have no way of knowing how much these authors knew about angels. They didn't know everything, they only knew what had been revealed to them. A lot of this battle with Satan, Lucifer, and God comes from the famous, Paradise Lost, which you may being confusing with the actual Bible. The Bible doesn't actually mention all that. Just the fact that Satan was fallen and got kicked out of Heaven.

Although God did create angels, he created them to feel and to think. And although he designed them to serve him and to love others, it is possible that their could have been an anomoly (like creating Nobodies in Kingdom Hearts). Or it is possible that Lucifer had been infected with some other dark seed. It is hard for us to imagine what Angels are like, and how they think, hence Paridise Lost. We can only speculate...

As for the other contradictions in the Bible, they may deal with different times in different places. Hence- God was happy with creation, and then he was displeased later (one of the lists in the above post), reffered to the fact he was happy with creation in the beginning, but when they disobeyed him, he didn't like it anymore. Also, many of the stories in the Bible are now being thought to be symbolic or metaphorical in nature, making us rethink the other parts of the Bible. So these contradictions are us as humans trying to make sense of the Bible, or us as sinful creatures, trying to disown the Bible. Also, the more important thing is that we look at the messages the Bible is sending us, that Jesus is sending us, because most of them are the ones that are relevant now (Jesus's sacrifice left much of the Old Testament irelevant, which is cause for many of the contradictions).

Also the gospels tell the same general story of Jesus's life from different points of view, as they were gathered from different sources. Hence they will not be identical, and may even disagree.

There is my opinion, and I hope your happy with it. Have good lives. Bye.

First off, no hating in this thread, I just want to know what others think.

It doesn't really matter if the Bible condridicts itself. Some Christians might claim that it is a pure and holy scripture that is 100% law. But really, the Bible is sort of like a manual, not a history book. It is full of metaphors and stories to help people realize God's will, without forcing down their throats. High-class, over the top fanatics are the ones doing that. The Bible is like a manuel. It helps you build a better life toward Heaven and the Holy Trinity.

and eventually, ill look for 1600 dictionary.

That God treated all humans fairly, probably.

Anyway, v_a, this forum disproved the Trinity, of course, but it has also disproved the belief that Lucifer and Satan are the same thing, and it has disproved the modern idea of hell, continuously, I might add.

New people come along, and it'll have to be explained again, Square. Although, I don't see you doing much explaining here, anyways.

Pardon my ignorance/zeal, but how did you dispell the Trinity? Or Hell, for that matter? And what does everyone here seem to have against Christianity? I can understand having a distaste for it, but most people seem to have some sort of burning hatred of the faith.

Jesus refers to himself time and again as inferior to the Father. He will return to his Father and his God, neither he nor the angels know the time of the Second Coming, and so on and so forth.

Or Hell, for that matter?

Read Hell topic. Hell is a vague term, and I only use it for the modern idea of Hell. We have shown that the term hell is used instead of the correct terms, such as Sheol, which is grave, Hades, which is the state of invisiblity and unconsciousness, Gehenna, which was a physical place, etc. The Bible says that after death, sinners die.

And what does everyone here seem to have against Christianity? I can understand having a distaste for it, but most people seem to have some sort of burning hatred of the faith.

I deal with christians every day, no problem. The annoyance is at christians who keep bringing the same topic for the 5th time after it's been disproved.
