This is my short theory about those Armored soldiers and about Xehanort.....

The soldiers were from the past: why?
connect the dots.... The optional boss fight happened near the door that leads back to time( timeless river) so maybe it has some connection about going to the past. It is told that a keyblade WAS( reffering that it already happened) sought to bring chaos to the world( keyblade war anyone?). Axel said " How many years WAS it? When the guys with BLADES OF KEYS appeared". Kingdom hearts WAS opened once BEFORE the events of KH1, the bald unknown opened it, right?. Well , if you know more things, try connecting it to this dots.

Xehanort's past:
He really is an armored soldier who could also wield a KEYBLADE

hey dudes. A man who stopped smoking, sometimes calls a ciggarette an OLD FRIEND.. Well about Xemnas calling a pile of armor and an unknown keyblade an OLD FRIEND shows that he once wore and fought using those things. Maybe he regained his memories from the past and that he WAS once an armored soldier too. Xehanort opened the door that leads to the hollow bastion"s heart. he used the keyblade that is in his heart.

Something to think about... The FS and the ES are friends (does anyone doubt that?) and we know that the ES hates Xehanort. So the FS probably wasn't friends with Xehanort because the ES wasn't.

Xehanort didn't open the door in hollow bastion, that was the seven princesses.

Yeah, I think they are refering to them in a more sarcastic tone. If you notice how Xigbar punches the word friend.

True, but I think he might have been refering to when it was Radient Garden, while Xehanort was whole. He did open the door to the heart of the world.

Exactly. You just asume it. And asumption often leads to disaster. Not always though.

Also, as for Xehanort being a Knight, he's not. Nomura has stated that the three knights are completely new characters.

Yes, Xehanort opened the door to the Heart of Radiant Garden. But I read somewhere, I think it was the Secret Interviews from this site, that the heart of all the worlds were orginally unlocked. Thats why Sora had to run around UNlocking them.

I think all it means is to show that Xemnas is using the combined power of Organization XIII. Which is why he kept using their weapons.

Maybe Xemnas is remembering Xehanort's past and the FS isn't his friend DIRECTLY, but Xehanort's.

But, all the Nobodies get their 'whole's' memory, so that's basicly the same thing.

I still think Xemnes has to have some sort of connection to the Knights... perhaps he was one, then betrayed them? That may be why the ES hates him...

Bah, that's just going with him wearing the Knight armour in the last few battles in KH2.
