Samantha Roberts swung her legs back and forth over the ledge of the crumbling brick wall watching, with melancholy grey eyes, the red and orange horizon. Ever since the young age of six, she'd longed for this type of freedom, however, she'd never wished for the loneliness that traveled alongside it.
In the past 4 weeks, children in the HGT program had been escaping. It appeared to be so simple, Sam decided to take the chance. For two weeks she had been traveling on foot, in the Montana Boarding schools uniform, through the horrid remains of a once glorious city.
Her small fingers gentle brushed across the noticeable scar, on her right leg, left from one of the experiments preformed on her. Her eyes closed tightly to fend off any unwanted tears.
She stood up, atop the brick wall, and shut her fists tightly in determination.

The director of HGT sat at the top of the smooth glass table in the meeting room, silently waiting for his projects to attend the meeting he'd called for earlier.
