If there's a thread about concerts already, I apologize.

Well i'm going to a My Chemical Romance concert tomorrow, and it's the first concert i've been to, as it's the first time a band I actually like has come here. I'm missing school to go wait in line because we have a 80% chance of getting backstage as my friend who i'm going with knows someone in the company.

Who's been to a concert here? Was it good? bad? Share your stories? ^^

And I know they're probably be 50 posts flaming on how MCR are sellouts and mainstream, stfu I don't care. I've liked them for more than 2 years, I'm not going to stop just because they're popular >_>

Well, last Friday MCR was playing in a city that wasn't to far from my home and I got tickets for the concert but I couldn't hear them because of the screaming and shrieking of the crowd. Though it was pretty enjoyable.

I went to warp a few times also i think my first concert was middle school and went to see Blink 182. That day sort of opened me up to more music cause i saw Alkaline Trio that day and since then they been one of my favorite bads ever. I tend not to go to big shows anymore though. Tend to be boring and sometimes you cant hear them like the above post said. Lately if i am going to a concert its for my brothers band which they are playing in a small araea with maybe 50 or more people so better mosh pits and alot better show in my mind.

MCR is Amazing Live

Gerard does alot of Sexually Orianited things on stagw which makes you question his Sexuallity but he puts on a good show. Seeing MCR as a first Concert will Blow your mind

As an audiophile, I'd like to point out that Gerard Way's voice is awful in concert. I'm not sure what kind of alteration was used, but it's not the same voice on stage as it is on the cd.

I've been to a few concerts in my life, most of which were either at Summerfest (lol Milwaukee) or Lollapalooza (lol Chicago). The highlights, however, would definitely include:

Muse - Absolutely incredible live. If you've ever been a fan, seeing them live is totally paramount. Words cannot describe the magnitude of Bellamy's performances, it's simply one of the best sonic and aesthetic experiences imaginable.

Red Hot Chili Peppers - RHCP may be aging, but they've still got the energy they had when they started off in the 90s. They throw together their new material in with their old, resulting in a fan pleasing live that's best experienced shirtless and sweaty :3

Social Distortion - I'm into old guys getting up on stage and playing their hits from ten years ago, and Social D is no exception. With witty banter to spare and pounding tracks that inspired countless punk and metal bands, every moment of this show was beyond description.

And then this summer I'm hopefully seeing Radiohead, Reel Big Fish, Streetlight Manifesto, Fratellis, and others this summer. I can't wait xD

My first concert was Black Label Society, with a couple no name bands.

Second concert: He Is Legend, Chimera, Dragonforce, and Killswitch Engage

3rd concert: So Many Dynamos, Light This City, The Number 12 Looks Like You and Horse the Band.


I plan on going to Taste of Chaos this year. Atreyu, Avenge Sevenfold, Bullet For My Valentine, and D'espairsray.

Bellingham MA!! Represent!! Quincy here.....Anyway, I dont remember what my first concert was but. Here we go. Bands Ive seen..... Korn, Metallica, Rob Zombie, Kid Rock, STP, Aerosmith, KISS, Arch Enemy, Nevermore, Children of Bodom, Dimmu Borgir, lol Alan Jackson, George Strait, Randy Travis, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Jo Dee Messina, The Dixie Chicks, Leann Rimes, Green Day, Dropkick Murphy's, Limp Bizkit, Powerman 5000, Static X, Fear Factory, Slayer, Lamb of God, Kittie, Rolling Stones, Motley Crue, Man I know there's more but I can't think right now.

My dumb friend is dragging me to a Chevelle show next month. X.X I don't particularly like them or dislike them. Bleh. But I might go to Taste Of Chaos March 1st. So, yay.

i love concerts. i live near milwaukee so in the summer, we have Summerfest where a lot of big names come. last year was amazing, i was able to go to the roger waters concert (guitarist for pink floyd). another concert i saw last year was the wailers, which was real fun. i think my first concert that i ever went to was a Styx concert.

Wow xD The only good bands that have come to HK before were Muse (I was on holiday :_ and MCR. The concert was amazing xD I'll just cut it short and paste from my DA journal;

i left the house at 7:30, and met my friend. We then took a stupidly long journey to the place where it was at. There were 6 people there already >.< And then I realise I forgot my ticket xD Luckily i live opposite school so my friends who were at school picked it up.

We had friends joining us at 11 & 4, and at 4:30, after 7 hours of waiting, My friend Ali gets a phone call from someone we know.

Who tells us to leave the line (There were a lot of people at this point) to go to the box office so we could go and meet the band.

We knew that we had a chance of meeting them, but... xD Let's say we screamed realllllyyy loudly.

After yet more waiting, we go in to meet them... being the kind, patient person I am, I shove everyone out the way and i get to meet them first ;D They were all so nice! I met Mikey, then Bob, Ray, Frank, Gerard. And we got autographs and stuff but we weren't allowed to take pics >_<

Then we got led straight into the concert to the front row. GOD we had the whole audience squishing us >_< People would pass out or want to leave like every 5 minutes. I just counted my bruises. I have 7. I was really vulgar and violentish though xD People kept trying to shove me so I would have to shove back and scream.

The band was amazing. they played all the songs off the black parade, You know what they do to guys like us in prison, I'm not okay, Helena, Cemetary Drive, Kill all your friends, Headfirst for Halos, Desert Song, My way home is through you and a new song, which the lyrics were <b>"The world is ugly but I think you're beautiful. Are you thinking of me? Are you thinking of him?"</b> yeh the whole song. It was really good though.

Mikey kept winking at me =D He was so interactive, i swear. Hah i'm gonna sound like an utter fangirl but I LOVE MIKEY WAY xD He spat on me! xD Water I mean. And after he asked the bouncer dudes to give my friend picks and she gave me the guitar one ^_^

I'm not even going to try and describe it, cause it was all super amazing ^_^ I'm just gonna say it was so worth it, and meeting them was such an amazing experience, and one of the best i've experienced so far.

I met the half the guys from Horse The Band because they were all hanging out in the crowd. Like no one recognized them. I was shocked lol. So my friend and I were telling them good luck and stuff like that. It was probably the best show I've been to because it was small (around 150-200 people). So it was easy to get up close.
