....Who would be born must destroy a world." - Herman Hesse

Premise

The war between Emperor Lelouch Lamperouge and the Black Knights. What once was an epic struggle for freedom is now relegated to history texts. The gentle rule of Empress Nunally and the Black Knights has long since been usurped by a cruel man named Baron; who is revealed to be a descendant of Emperor Lelouch; and thus the heir to the throne. The Black Knights have been turned yet again into wanted enemies of the state for unjustified charges, yet again forced to take up arms against the Empire they had joined hand-in-hand. The world that Lelouch Lamperouge, Suzaku Kururugi, and Nunally Lamperouge tried to create has been shattered in less than a decade. The Japanese who had found their independence under the banner of the Knights are yet again hunted and despised. The rest of the world as well now defends itself from Britannia, whose once-isolated demeanor has now given way to a tyrannical force.

While these two organizations clash, a third organization has surfaced. A boy named Skarr leads the World Annihilation Front, a radical group dedicated not to saving the world, but destroying it; in hopes of redeeming Humanity with a new developmental start.

The drums of war are pounding, the planet itself now a chessboard of political intrigue, conquest, desire, and of course.....The Code of Geass.

Glossary

(I know there's a lot to read....I don't care if you just skim. If you're already familiar with the show, feel free to skip some of this stuff entirely. The "World Annihilation Front" article MUST BE READ BY EVERYONE)

Black Knights
- The Black Knights are a group of vigilante rebels who fight against the Holy Britannian Empire in hopes of ending it's tyrannical campaign. Founded by an enigmatic man named Zero, they define themselves as the "allies of justice", and differentiate themselves from other terrorists groups, though this may simply be a tactic to increase public support and recruitment. Most members are former Japanese, many of whom have defected from other insurgent groups, though many other peoples, even Britannians, may be found among their ranks. Their logo is a Geass sigil with a sword through it. Their current leader is Suzaku Kururugi, (who has taken up the mantle of 'Zero') though the founding members of the Black Knights are the only ones aware of this.

Britannia- Britannia is a nation born from the defeated remnants of the British Empire and is the world's dominant military superpower and one of the large Empire-unions that control Earth initially in the early 21st Century, the others being the Chinese Federation, the Euro Universe, and later United Federation of Nations. Under Baron's rule, the Britannian Empire follows the same ideology of Social Darwinism that it did during the era of Charles zi Britannia; which can easily be translated as 'Survival of the Fittest.' Baron feels that only struggle and hardship can allow proper evolution; and has thus turned his country into a warlike, savage land.

Geass- Geass is a mysterious ability which certain people can bestow upon others; The Geass manifests differently in each individual, possibly related to their inner desires and personality. Every Geass, while powerful, has its own unique set of restrictions, limitations, or idiosyncrasies. These factors allow a Geass to be defeated, or its power limited, by someone who is aware of its characteristics. The power of Geass increases with use, and should the user lack the willpower, they may be consumed by it; usually resulting in insanity. This form of mental illness is known as "Geass Runaway." A person acquires Geass by making a contract with a immortal former Geass user who bears the code. The Geass is represented by a glowing, bird-shaped symbol in the iris of the eye. Repeated use of Geass will extend the symbol to both eyes. Once the Geass evolves to two eyes, the person who gave the Geass can grant the user his or her 'Code', thus removing the Geass and making the user an Immortal and immune to all Geass, and the person who gave them the Geass usually dies after granting a person his or her 'Code.'

Immortal- Immortals are former Geass Users who have given their Geass onto another, stripping them of their Geass, but also rendering them immune to any and all forms of Geass. They also gain eternal life, their physical appearance reflecting the age they were when they became immortal. The only way out of becoming an Immortal is suicide. The last known Immortal was C.C., who imbued Lelouch Lamperouge with the power of Geass, putting the events of the anime series into motion. C.C's whereabouts are unknown, while Lelouch is assumed dead.

Knightmare Frame- Knightmares Frames (Just called 'Knightmares' for short) are humanoid war machines developed by the Holy Britannian Empire. Unveiled during the invasion of Japan, Knightmare Frames are almost exclusively used in place, and sometimes on par with the practically obsolete main battle tanks. The name "Knightmare Frame" is a play on the word nightmare and a knight's mare. Other countries also have their own specific frames. Knightmare usage has almost completely taken the place of conventional warfare. Knightmare Frames often have a humanoid shape and are usually between four and five meters tall. In addition to the standard range of bipedal movement, Knightmare Frames are equipped with Landspinners, self-propelled roller skates attached to the ankles of the machines, which allow them to achieve high mobility and speeds on most terrain. Visual data is gathered through Factsphere sensors, which have thermographic capability and an array of other data-collection functions which are collated in real-time. Factspheres are commonly protected under a layer of armor which can be retracted to improve system sensitivity. Knightmare Frames are piloted from a cockpit set in the protruding 'hump back' in the unit. The cockpit is a self-contained control center which can be ejected in case of emergency. Although Knightmare heads seem to have no real function besides housing Factsphere sensors, it seems they are required to pilot the knightmare, as seen when a pilot ejects himself when his knightmare's head is knocked off. Inside a standard knightmare frames cockpit block some of the mainstream features are the three panoramic display monitors, the dual control joysticks, and instrument panels. The panoramic monitors are linked to outside sensors and cameras, and can be switched to display other information such as status or even as a video communication system. In custom frames, the interface system varies, dependent on the knightmare's primary function towards combat. For example, the Gawain's interface has a full screen 'ceiling' or dome above both pilots that show direct surroundings of the knightmare, most likely used so calculations for its Blaze Luminous defense can be inputted accurately.

Sakuradite- Sakuradite is a rare mineral found only in the Code Geass universe. Described as the "Philosophers Stone", it was first discovered near Stonehenge some time during the Middle Ages. Marco Polo would later journey to Japan and discover large deposits of the mineral. After Sakuradite became valuable as a superconductor, Japan would become a primary exporter of the material, and produces nearly 70% of the world's Sakuradite to this day. It is somewhat responsible for the more advanced technology in Code Geass. It is able to fuel Knightmare Frames and nuclear bombs due to it's extremely high amount of radioactivity. Japan mined 70% of the world's Sakuradite, which made it the world's best trading industry. It used Sakuradite to exploit consumer nations and diplomacy. This eventually sparked the Second Pacific War, in which Britannia conquered Japan.

Slash Harkens- Wire-guided projectiles embedded into a Knightmare's shoulder pads. One can use them as a means of transportation, (By attaching them to a moving object) offensively, (By attaching them to an enemy Knightmare, immobilizing a portion of it) or defensively. (Using it as a fake attack to lure the enemy) Some Harkens come equipped with Harken Boosters, which increase extension speed and enable mid-air trajectory change. Some Harkens can also be embedded with Radiation Wave parts, which allow the Harkens to contract electricity, capable of damaging an enemy Knightmare by overloading it's systems.

Float System- An electromagnetic technology that enables the transportation and floatation of high-mass objects. The Black Knights use a similar technology called the Air Glide System, A miniature floatation device that is compact enough to be installed into a Knightmare Frame. Britannia now uses the Energy Wing System, When activated, it has a characteristic rippling effect that causes the air around the Knightmare Frame to create a ring of light that mimics the color of the the Knightmare Frame Energy Wing; thus explaining it's name. It is hinted that the number of "wings" a Knightmare wields, would define its unique power/ability. The Guren S.E.I.T.E.N., which had four wings, has extreme super speed. While, the Lancelot Albion, which had three wings, acted as a "weapon" by shooting crystal-like beams from the wings. So far, only custom Knightmares have been seen using the Energy Wing System.

World Annihilation Front- A recent organization that has just risen from the ashes. Unlike Britannia and the Black Knights, who only fight purely for the sake of their affairs, The Front is against everyone and everything. They have three primary goals: Gather as much of the world's Sakuradite as possible, Weaken opposing nations as much as they can, and eventually power a doomsday weapon known as Heaven's Light. Once powered, the weapon would be fired across the planet, eliminating an (estimated) 90% of Humanity, thus giving the Human Race a second chance at a developmental start. While the organization and it's members aren't inherently evil, they are monsters on the battlefield, stripping enemy Knightmares for parts, ignoring civilian and territorial presence, and leaving no survivors. They are lead by an enigmatic teenager named Skarr.

Rules
I'm sure you all know the drill by now, but just in case:
1. No spamming.
2. No swearing in the OOC Thread if you can help it. The occasional slip is fine, as long as cluster F-Bombs aren't being dropped all over the thread. You get one warning. Swearing in the story is perfectly acceptable, though.
3. And while we're on the subject of bad words, keep this RP PG-13. A kiss on the cheek or an embrace is fine, just don't let it turn into a porno, okay? A post violating this rule will be deleted.
4. No God-modding. People get hurt in fights, and nobody is all-knowing. Keep this in mind. So if you're hit square in the nuts, please scream in pain. Don't shrug it off like Superman. ^_^
5. No in-fighting. If you're having a disagreement with someone, message me and I'll try to help. If it's THAT bad, then keep it to yourselves. If it gets out of hand, not only will both people be banned from the RP, but I will report the issue to a member of KHI Staff.

6. For the sake of reference when choosing Knightmares, follow this link.
http://codegeass.wikia.com/wiki/Knightmare_Frame#Knightmare_Frames_by_Faction

Now that all of that is out of the way....

An RPer can join either the Black Knights, The Annihilation Front, or the Britannian Military. If you wish for your character to change sides, message me with your plans and I'll either approve of deny the change. Also, Any Geass a character may possess must have a weakness to counteract it as well. Nobody is invincible. And remember that one is not limited to a Geass that just affects the mind. As long as it isn't too superpower-esque, (Such as spewing fire from the hands or pooping out diamonds) it's acceptable.

As far as one's Knightmare Frame goes, they fall under the same rules as Geass. A Knightmare can have certain abilities if needed, as long as they aren't too impressive.

Templates

Name: Self-explanatory. No names from the show, please.
Age: 18-40 is an acceptable range.
Nationality: Britannian, Japanese, Other? (Nationality does not necessarily have to influence who you join, FYI)
Allegiance: What do you fight for?
Biography: Two paragraphs preferred, though one is enough. No interactions with any of the show's main characters if you can help it; though I won't be too strict about that.
Knightmare Description: What Knightmare Frame do you pilot, one of your own or one of your country's staples? What abilities does it have? What are it's weaknesses? Since Knightmare Frames are distributed VIA an organization's army, nobody can start out as an independent person with a Knightmare Frame of their own unless they intend to join a side later in their character's campaign. So if your not a member of an organization yet, all you have is you.
Geass: What special power do you possess? Again, nothing too superpower-esque. Must have a weakness as well. None from the show, please.
Battle Theme: If applicable.

(THATS THE CONFIRMATION PRECEPTS BEFORE i FINISH HIS TEMPLATE.) *Pardon the caps I don't feel like backspacing on this phone XD*

It seems pretty decent. I'll look it over once an actual template is made. :)

I will not outright deny your template since your'e still writing you're Biography; but your'e Knightmare Frame and Geass need some adjustment.

First off, you're Knightmare: I LOVE you're Knightmare's design concept. Fits the WAF perfectly. Though how would it perform in mid-air? Remember about the Float System? You don't necessarily need to overtly overhaul your summary, but just remember to account for aerial combat, too.

Your Geass....I'm sorry. I have to ask you to change it....A little. Seeing the image of God is something just a bit too powerful. ls, what's your Geass's weakness? Does it affect your sanity or your physical prowess? If one sees an image of God and they have unyielding faith, they wouldn't be immune to said Geass, they'd embrace it. You need a weakness. Note that I'm ignoring the fact that seeing an image of God is a bit too similar to Lelouch's Geass of ultimate obedience. ^_^

Just make a few changes, and you should be set.

Here is Skarr, my OC's, Template. It may still be subject to change.

Name: Skarr Limecraft

Age: 19

Nationality: Unknown (Looks Japanese physically)

Allegiance: World Annihilation Front (Founding Member)

Biography: Skarr's exact origin is unknown. Some say that he was the son of an Eleven officer in the Black Knights who was abandoned by his father prior to the Black Knights' mutiny against Zero. Others say he was an heir to the Britannian throne. But in reality, all of these rumors are just that....Rumors. Skarr chooses to keep his true story a secret to all, even his closest associates. Skarr's closest friends (Of which he has few) would tell you that even Skarr himself isn't sure of who he is or what he wants.......All he knows is that his life's goal is the re-start of Humanity, as he sees civilization as nothing but an embodiment of greed and evil. Also, for some odd reason, Skarr seems knowledgeable about Geass. Many soldiers in the WAF claim that he may have a secret contact.

Character description: Skarr is about 5'2; with white hair that has been curled back into a pony tail. He has a slender build; wearing a grey sleeveless shirt. He also wears thin pants somewhat akin to jeans as well as black loafers. He wears an eye patch over his left eye, shielding a battle wound.

Personality: Skarr does his best to be a "lone wolf," acting alone in battle and often acting aloof and cold. In battle, he acts somewhat like a savage, prone to extreme anger and easily clouded by the ferocity of fighting. Skarr's savagery is somewhat of a ruse however, as he is known to plan out strategies on the fly and is more than capable of making tough decisions. He has a rather high sense of compassion towards his friends and the members of the WAF, treating his soldiers and friends with equality as opposed to the "expendable" approach other countries take to their armies. Skarr is not the best diplomat, (Though he is no fool) relying on his Geass in verbal diplomacy.

Knightmare Description: His Knightmare is called the Opifex. (Latin for "creator") The Opifex is an offensively-aligned Knightmare designed with combat entirely in mind. The Opifex's multiple armaments enable a strict and heavy offense, but as a result both lowers the effectiveness of any advanced defensive tactics and doubles the speed of power loss.

The physical armaments the Opifex carries include two spears which are used in conjunction with each other, as well as a whip-like weapon designed for medium range. The main power-consumer of the Opifex however lies in the unique cannons solidified onto the back of the Knightmare Frame, which fire Hadron-like energy beams in short bursts. The fast power reduction is a flaw that was created due to the fact that the WAF has less technology than the other two factions, therefore the developers of the Opifex were forced to hook up the cannon wiring to the Power Core of the Knightmare rather then an alternative generator. This means that the Hadron Cannons fire energy from the Knightmare's "Battery" with each use.

The Opifex's use of various weapons also drains it's power faster than the weapons for most Knightmares, meaning that this Frame cannot be out on the field for too long. This makes it nigh useless in dragged-out conflicts unless immediate repairs can be initiated. This may change later on.

It should be noted that when in non-Knightmare combat, Skarr uses two bamboo pole-staffs that are wielded in a similar style to the spears used by his Knightmare Frame.

Geass: "The Seal of Absolute Influence"
Skarr has the ability to influence the immediate emotions of any target within 100 meters of him or his Knightmare Frame by temporarily modifying their brain impulses. This means that he can make the target angry, sad, happy, or mellow just through talking with them. (Though Skarr can control WHEN he's sending out Geass impulses and when he's simply talking normally)

This SEEMS to have some effect over the target's immediate mental state, implying that the alteration of their brain impulses makes the target more prone to suggestion if made happy; more prone to violence when angered, ETC. This only works for five minutes and can be easily countered VIA fast-acting medication or drowning out the sound of Skarr's voice. With each use, not only does Skarr get a headache, but he also inherits the exact same emotions that he planted into the target. (Meaning, if he makes the target angry, he will also enter a fit of rage; though unlike the target, has a grip on his immediate mental state) A long-term effect of the Geass causes his emotions to become more passionate with each use. If left unchecked, it can range from full-blown savagery to suicidal sadness; meaning that he must be watched over at all times.

Skarr is implied to already suffer from a slight form of Geass Runaway due to prior overuse of his Geass and may be slowly losing his sanity.

Battle Themes:

  • Lost Odyssey "The Gun Barrel of Battle" (Non-Knightmare)
  • KH3D Mock Soundtrack- Shrouding Dark Cloud Arrangement (Knightmare Battle)

First off, thanks for the comment about the Knightmare Frame. All that I did was look up Irish Warriors on google and found "The Fianna." So I figured I use them seeing as how I'm Irish

As for the Geass, you seem to forget that not everyone believes in God. Not only are there several other religions with different deities, there are also those that avoid the urge to fill in the voids of "Creation and Death" with religion. By simply stating that they saw the image of "God", I meant that they would see the image of the Christian God himself. While yes, it is the most prevalant religion even in real life, there are those that don't believe in Him through other means, be it they practice a different religion or they have no religion at all. And it's not so much as "I am God. You will Obey my Word!", seeing as how even in Christianity God does not take the free will from his people, but rather "I am God. I exist. Repent for your sins!". Kinda like they realize that they have been wrong this entire time. As for the weakness, I admit that I did that one entirely wrong.

But regardless, I changed the Frame and even the Geass to make them fit my character just a bit more. The biggest problem that I forsee would be the way that the Frame flies. I just hope that my explanation for the use of it is adequate. I also added in a bio.

Now THAT'S a character. You're approved. As for the Knightmare, I love the addition of the Energy Wing system. Looks good.

As for the Geass, It's fine. And I hope you didn't get the wrong idea when I denied your first one. It wasn't because it was God or anything specific, it was because it was not only too vague, but seemed too strong. It didn't really have a foundation. I know about multiple religions and I assumed that "seeing an image of God" meant seeing an image of their patron god. (EX.; Islamic man seeing Allah, Stuff like that) I'm Athiest/Agnostic, so I can't exactly call on the details, but I was just going by what I was seeing.

Sorry if I came off as unintelligent. :3

oh, Tails_Night.....How's the development of a Template going?

No problem. Plus I've got another person joining. They're new to RP, but they've got some potential.

Here it is.

Name: Viktor Kazakova

Age: 22

Nationality: Russian

Allegiance: The Holy Britannian Empire

Appearance: His slick black hair, cut just above the neck, and pale skin make him look more like a scientist than a soldier. His deep brown eyes are almost always covered by his grey tinted square framed glasses. Aside from those features, however, he doesn't look much like a scientist. He has broad facial features and is clean shaven. He stands at 5'10" with a muscled figure. His attire includes a pair of black cargo pants with six pockets, three on each side, and black sneakers. He wears a basic orange t-shirt with the quote "The jobs of the rich are done by the hands of the poor" written in red in Russian. On top of it he wears a black pilots jacket, unzipped and with the arms rolled up. The thing that stands out the most is hie black belt with a gigantic "V" as the belt buckle. When he's piloting his Knightmare Frame, he wears a orange one piece with a black stripe going across his coronal plane. He still wears his "V" belt.

Personality: Viktor is often called a "gentle giant". He is well known for his ruthless, end things quickly fighting style, but the reason he's like this is because he dislikes fighting. In most situations he tries to talk things out. But he's become so good at fighting, they put him on the battlefield, yet another thing he doesn't like. He prefers brains over brawn. He always carries at least one book in one of his several pant's pockets, just so he won't feel like a "mindless brute". Aside from his personal quirks, he is a very loyal subordinate, and will carry out his orders to the t. He's a friendly person, and well liked by basically everyone who knows him. He often questions some of the thoughts and ideas of Britannia, but keeps them to himself, wishing not to "bite the hand that feeds." He views his job as just following orders, and doesn't see the results of these orders as his fault.

Biography: Viktor was born in Moscow into well off family. He was enrolled in one of the best military schools in Russia, and graduated Elementary school in the top of his class. His instructors said the only thing that held him back was "his total lack of enthusiasm, and mindset for fighting." In Middle school, he was criticied heavily because he never wanted to fight. Teachers constantly put him in battles, in an attempt to toughen him up, but this instead turned him even further away from battle.

He was 17 when he graduated and decided to join the Holy Britannian Army. Yes his friends and family saw it as betrayal, but to him, it was a change of pace. He was sent to deal with a group of rebels in South Africa. This is where he first met and paired up with Stephan Librè . There, it was their job to find the leader of the rebel group, and kill him. Easy enough. Somehow, they were tipped off about their squad's arival, so they were waiting for them. After half an hour of pointless violence, Viktor found the rebel leader in an abondoned werehouse. As he held the gun to his head, the man asked, "What do you want most?" "What do I want? I...... I don't know what I want. Not this though, not fighting. I loath, fighting. Do you think I like killing people like this?" "You don't have to fight, I can give you the power so that you won't have fight anyone ever again." And with that, Viktor unknowingly gained the Geass.

When he turned 20, they gave him a Knightmare Frame. Originally a mass produced Vincent frame, he eventually changed it to fit his own fighting style. Over the next two years, he continued serving Britannia, doing missions, until he was transfered to Area 11, where he now works as a member of the Anti-Terorist Branch. He still works with Stephan, and they are often teamed up because they work so well together.

Knightmare Description: Vedʹmak- The fastest Knightmare Frame in the Britannian army. Customized from the Vincent frame, the arms are long and lanky, as far as robotic arms can go. The shoulders have been cut down drastically, and are more pointed. Also, the read pieces have been removed from it's head and groin. What truly makes this Knightmare Frame are the feet. As opposed to having a Landspinner Propulsion System attached to his feet, they are his feet. At the end of each leg are two large wheels that are used for movement. This greatly increases his speed and maneuverability on the battlefield, making him nearly uncatchable, provided it's a relatively straight shot. It was recolored with all the yellow paint replaced with orange and silver paint replaced with black.

In terms of weapons, it has four Needle Blazers, one in each joint. He also has a Maser Vibration Sword designed to be more like a battle ax. It's double sided, and the handle can be attached to his chest and used like a canon.

Geass: Army of None- Upon activation, Viktor can make anyone within a 100 foot radius believe that their are clones of him. He can control the number of clones, and control all of them simultaneously. The clone's aren't physical, but the Geass makes the brain believe they are, so all damage done to opponents during fights, is all in their heads. The use of his Geass however, this requires quite a bit of concentration, and he often goes to a hiding place to take himself out of the fight. His Geass also causes major headaches, and often causes blood vessels to pop in his eyes.

Battle Theme: "Would You be Impressed"- Streetlight Manifesto
"It's Not Your Fault"- AWOLNATION (Plays when he begins to think about missions, and the effects they've had.)
