Just a few things before starting:
  • Those of you who submitted a character, please do not tell other people to vote for your character. The submissions are anonymous for a reason and are to be based off the submissions alone, and not because of who wrote them. If foul play is suspected, your submission will be pulled from the week and all votes toward it will become null and void.
  • Anyone can vote, so please, feel free to do so.
  • This thread will stay open for a week, at which point it will close and the week's winner chosen.

Wow! There's a whole lot of competition this time around! :O Looks like everyone had similar ideas for this theme. Great minds think alike, I guess? Haha, makes it kind of hard to choose. Glad I stopped by and checked in on this.

The Doomsday Machine is getting most of the votes, and I agree it's a neat concept for the theme, but I voted for Tick-Tock mostly because the writing is so polished and by the end it might actually succeed in getting your heart-rate up a bit. At first my brain was stuck on Captain Hook and the alligator with a clock in his stomach, but the automaton knight was a neat antagonist to imagine. Gives just enough to whet the appetite, nothing more.

I'll agree that my submission was not as polished nor fluid as I would have liked it to been. I came up with the concept fairly quickly, but time limited my ability to sit down and plan it out further. As such, it came out feeling a bit rushed and clunky for my tastes. Though I do like the concept I came up with, and might try a one-off of it in the CW section.

And, I suppose three other people did as well, so my submission of The Doomsday Machine won week two.
