Character Couplings

I'm not trying to sound all fan-girlish. Nor am I trying to make anyone angry, but I almost have this feeling that Sora and Riku's (along with Axel and Roxas's) relationships are somewhat forced to look... erm... Gay? I mean, if you think about it, when Sora meets up with Riku in the world that never was, they couldn't stop smiling. I know you probably think I'm crazy, but really. If you watch the part where Riku is in his regular clothes (not his black coat) there's a scene where... I think one of them says something... Like, "We'll do it together." or something like that. But then after that line, they look strait ahead (not looking at each other) and just have like... These smirkey like grins on their faces.

While as, for Roxas and Axel, it's a little different. They act a little more like best friends but if you see videos of them for the KH2 Final Mix, they get alot deeper into their relationships. (btw, you can see these videos on youtube.com). It really is just a thought. I think that Nomura is trying to prove a point with this. If you remember in Chain of Memories/Re: Chain of Memories, Riku and Sora get into a fight and Riku says something like, "Did it ever occur to you how I feel? You never cared about the way I feel!" It just makes me wonder... Even though there's this thing going on between Kairi and Sora/Namine and Roxas you can't help but think that they really are talking/showing more of the boys relationships more than then boys and girls.

Right. That did occur to me. But also, he knew that Riku was some-what okay. He was just a little in the darkness, but I think Kairi's condition was worse than his. However, I remember how jealous Riku got when Sora replaced him with Donald and Goofy. But, who knows. You're right. Lately, shonen-ai/yaoi has been getting in there somewhere. I just think they're focusing alot on Sora and Riku's relationship more that they are on Kairi and Sora's.

Yeah. I feel kind of bad because people who like soraXriku or sora/riku hate on kairi just a whole lot of kairi bashing. But I like sora and riku together but i don't hate kairi.

I'm a little of a Kairi basher. Honestly, I liked her alot better in the first game... Anyway, I suppose you see what I'm saying. I think Sora and Riku would go better together... To bad the game can only be rated E. XD Now I just satisfy myself with a little fanfiction. :3

But, call me old fashioned, but I think it's Sora x Kairi all the way... all the other references were friendship, it's just the way they were percieved.

Although I'd rather have Sora x Riku over Kairi x Riku >.>;

That's also what I thought. But, like I said, he knew Kairi was home and safe and he HAD been worrying about Riku alot. But, still. You're right.

Overall, I feel like they're taking an attempt just to encourage some certain fan-girls. *shifts eyes so no nobody notices that I'm obviously a soraXriku fan-girl* But really, I thought that after that one scene in Chain of Memories, I was like, "HONESTLY, you can't REALLY still think they're still straight!" ._.; *cough* Yeah.

I was about to bring that up. @_@

Anyway, yeah, Sora had absolutely NO idea what so ever about what happened to Riku, he knew what happened to Kairi - She went back to Destiny Islands.

Riku, on the other hand, left Sora and went with Mickey to help him seal the Door (Can't remember which one it was, need a replay of KH1.) Also, note that he went through Castle Oblivion, seeing the Riku Clone, thinking it was actually him, but then it was revealed that that wasn't actually him, so yeh. That should explain it...

i mean, Sora was expecting Kairi to be safe at home and he didnt have any idea where Riku would be, other than in a dark realm with a bunch of dangerous monsters. when Sora found out Kairi was in trouble he got down on his hands and knees and begged Saix to give Kairi back, and then he hardly ever mentioned Riku again, i didnt hear his name out of Sora's mouth once inside the Castle that Never Was, not till he found him at least. when he found her he wasnt as woried because he could see she was okay, but he still didnt know Xehanorts heartless was Riku and when he found out he was happy, wouldnt u be if u just found out that ur friend that u hadnt seen in over a year and didnt know if they were okay was right in front of u and hadnt realized it. id prolly react the same as Sora. then with Roxas and Axel, after their figth in the mansion Roxas didnt seem to concerned that Axel dissapeared, but when DiZ pulled Namine into that dark portal Roxas was yelling and screaming at him to let her go.
im a SoraXKairi RoxasXNamine fan but that so doesnt mean i dont like yaoi, one of my fave stories on fanfic is a RikuXSora fic, so dont bash me for my views. i just prefer boyXgirl over boyXboy, girlXgirl.

I just think that sora cares for them both equally but he probably was happy that he and his friends were together again in the same room (so to speak). So he cried for riku maybe it's cause he couldn't beilieve his bestfriend was turned into the same person who he sought out to destroy, he probably didn't think he'd see the real riku again.

i see ur point and all but when he found out she was kidnapped he begged for her back, he never mentioned Riku again, only when he thought he met him in Land of Dragons and when he was badgering the King, then no more till they ran into him in the Hall of Empty Melodies. the reason he didnt cry was prolly bc the part of him thats Roxas was most likely saying Axel wouldnt hurt her. if the Org hurt her then they wouldnt get the cooperation from him that they wanted so why risk it. and he prolly figured that since she was in the dungeon the Org would focus on him being in the Castle and not on her, so shed be safe. i get the sleeping thing but he still didnt know where Riku was or if he was okay, so of course he was really woried, and having the King there when he could tell u what u want the know but he's deliberatly not telling him would make him even more worried, because ud prolly think that something really bad happened and they dont want u to know and get upset. and not knowing would make it worse so of course he be ecstatic to see him. and hes bound to find out Riku'd been missing for a year at some point in the game and that would boost worry level a lot right there.
