So I saw this game on another forum and it blew up. It's very simple; it's a forum representation of 'chaos theory' showing how an extremely small change can lead to drastic outcomes in the future. The example Edward Lorenz, the pioneer of Chaos Theory, gave for this was "If a butterfly flaps its wings in California it can cause a typhoon in Britain" or something along those lines. So, here's how the game works;
I start with "A butterfly flapped its' wings". The next person posts "A butterfly flapped its' wings, so (effect)" and eventually you may get things such as someone being the President or something.
Rules:
1) No double posting.
2) No making drastic and unrealistic effects, eg. "The butterfly flapped its wings, so martians came down onto Earth to investigate"
3) Do what seems most realistic- do not try to intentionally drive the course of the game towards something.
I'll start.
