as the war raged more and more states seceded til we were a continent of 50 little countries leaving us open to foreign attack.

North Korea had been waiting for this for 60 years. However, they still knew that we were a force to be reconed with, even divided. So they had to take over a place with plenty of natural recources near the DSA (Divided Stated of America) that would allow them to take over quickly and easily. They went for Canada.

however Canada, contrary to belief, put up a great defense and shattered Noth Korea's attack and with their new found confidence annexed Alaska.

Meanwhile Mexico, which had been stricken with poverty for years, saw a chance to become a true world power. They took over the warring countries Texas and New Mexico. And as Canada and Mexico slowly creeped forward in their quest for power, a conflict was inevitable.

with the threat of Canada and Mexico plus the loss of alaska, texas and new mexico the people begin fighting not only among themselves but also against said foreign powers if gorilla warfare which fails and leads to Mexico taking california as well.

While Mexico was taking the south (they also claimed Oklahoma who was supplying the Texas rebels with weapons), Canada had it's own success in the North. They had taken Maine and Rd. Island as well as Idaho, Montana and North Dakota. Due to the threat of invasion from both sides, South Dakota, Nebraska and Kansas made a pact to become a whole country in order to defend themselves from the Canadians and Texans. They called themselves the LEFN (League of Free Nations) and were able to get supplies from Britain whom had a very good trade system with them. Being supplied with over 4 times the force they had before, they were able to fend off the Canadians and Mexicans with great efficiency. Nearly 50 years after the butterfly first flapped it's wings, the North American Continent now looked like this.

after the 50 years of conflict they reach a truce, only for a terrorist faction to attack at the meeting which causes the war to get even worse resulting in mexico taking all the east coast connecting it to Canada who starts a war with their new Mexican neighbors in order to keep their forces from taking Canada as well.

You're supposed to do something realistic.



Northwestern states (Washington and Oregon), being the most surrounded by Canada, has taken the most damage over the 50 years. Oregon decided to sever itself from the States, and after a civil conflict, it spilts in two, one half apart of Mexico, the other apart of Canada. Washington, now being completely surrounded, severs it's ties from the States, but doesn't give into Canada or Mexico, and becomes it's own Country. With it's large amounts of farmland and rivers, food and water is constant. And, with all the large cities and large mountains, it's hard for other armies to get in, making a large defense, even though their army is small.

Canada and Mexico, now actually having borders met, start to have even larger conflicts.

After their treaty with Mexico and Canada falling through, the LEFN now knew that if they were to survive a war between giants, they would have to become a giant themselves. With Canada and Mexico distracted with eachother, they could focus their armies to the east (where most of the recources were located) and went all the way to Ohio, taking all of the eastern states that niether Canada or Mexico had gotten yet. Due to this increase of recources, Britain increased trade with them, hightening their economy. This made them a force to be reconed with. However, they decided to wade it out. They would wait to see who won the war and then take the winner in one swift stroke.

during this time mexico and canada see what the LEFN are doing and decide to crush the last of their resistance and take their newly gotten resources then decide over who gets what of their spoils, while over seas the world at large is watching looking for a chance to intervene and take their slice of the american cake.
in the meantime mexico decides, with their new found power that its time to take south america as well.

Meanwhile in Asia, due to North Korea's defeat at the hands of Canada, they had lost most of their recources. This meant that they had to find a substitute country to take over and quickly. Due to North America's state of disarray, they were unable to send soldiers and support to South Korea. This meant that North Korea was not afraid of them anymore and they took over quickly and swiftly. This fueled their conquest of Japan, and all of South-eastern Asia. This of course, made the Chinese very cautious, fearing that North Korea's sudden growth spurt meant that they didn't need to depend on the Chinese for recources anymore. Their army was still the largest in the world, yet they wanted to be sure that it stayed that way, and they took Mongolia. This in turn, made Russia slightly skittish. As tensions rose in Asia, it seemed that without America as a peace keeper, most countries were looking for any excuse they could find to spark a war. The fate of the world depended who would win in America.

A year passes, and most of what was America is divided between Canada and Mexico. Only a handful of states were able to stay alive, those being, Washington, New York, Arizona, and Hawaii. Each one is now considered it's own country, but they help each other out when possible. The strongest connection is between Hawaii and Washington because, of it's size, no one can control the Pacific Ocean perfectly. Washington and Arizona are able to trade and give supplies, but the distance makes it hard. New York had only been surviving because of it's large population and it's large amounts of money, but, now, it's close to be taken out.

Meanwhile, China and Russia make a treaty, but don't give out it's contents to other counties. It's an agreement for China to start it's long wanted conquest across Asia, but it will leave Russia alone. Because Russia knows the Chinese only proposed the idea because they don't want such a large enemy during the conquest of the smaller countries, Russia still prepares for an inevitable attack in the future.

^Arizona and NY got taken over by Mexico a while ago. But keep going! The plot thickens. :O

Meanwhile, back in America, the Mexicans have their forces stretched between the North and South, as they are fighting both Canada and Brazil on two seperate fronts. The LEFN is about to be attacked by Canada, but a spy is able to inform the LEFN leaders a few months ahead of time, and they are ready for the attack. However, the Canadians are slowly weakening their forces. Desperate, they contact North Korea with informations that has been retrieved through unknown recources that China is gathering their forces and will attack them in a year or two. In exchange for this information, they only ask for their help defeating Canada and Mexico. To make the offer more wantable, they also throw in the entire eastern seaboard, from california to Alaska. North Korea agrees, and with their armies combined, they take all of Canada and push the Mexicans all the way down to Panama. With their new found recources, the North Koreans are successfuly able to keep the Chinese from invading their country, yet they are not big enough to push them back. They seem to reach an uneasy stalemate.

with NK (north korea) helping the LEFN and defending itself from china they quickly begin to get stretched worryingly thin with this in mind they take south korea thus creating the KU, korea united, soon after the formation of this they enact a draft of the former south korean civies to increase their armies.
meanwhile with the KU's help the LEFN have been holding what they have left with no progress on either sides meanwhile on mexico's south america campaign they finally take brazil and the rest of south america follows making the once small country a global power house. with this new power they reach out to china and they form an agreement to help destroy the KU so china can take it for their own which would leave the promised land of the eastern seaboard for mexico to take.

while this goes on Canada plans their counterattack to protect what they have taken.

As Canada works behind the scenes, Russia fearing Chinas inevitable betrayal once again turns to the nuclear tech of its cold war past.
