You know the thing i don't get is why they have to censor everything. They censor Naruto and... Well i know they censor some other stuff to. So anyway, what they think we can handle the cursing... Well their wrong. BooB's
This is a game for children of 10+. Their fragile minds can't handle a 15 year old boy with a big key saying "****".

You know, just because a majority of the kids that these shows and games are targeted at already cuss and say other such things, doesn't matter that the shows can include the same content. Just because we already know all the 'bad' words, doesn't mean it can be included in kid targeted shows/games. That's like just because teenagers are mature enough to have children, doesn't mean they should. ~.- An eerie comparison, yes, but it gets my point across, no?

I agree that you got your point across. In fact I think that children in other countries don't need to hear or see certain things either. But it still doesn't get rid of the fact that in other countries, and in this case Japan, get to see things that we don't. Americans are more conservative and less liberal. If something happens on live television on the east coast they'll censor it for the west. It's not fair but that's what they do. And honestly if a parent doesn't like the language in a game they can tell their kid not to play. My mom doesn't even like me playing "World Of Warcraft" because of the blood. The only reason she lets me play is because I'm sixteen but my little brothers are eight and the chances of them playing anytime soon is slim to none. I think that some things should be censored from children period. Like cursing, sex, and drugs just to name a few. But what isn't fair is that a part of the world and sometimes half a country (west coast united states) is censored from everyday things. It is up to the parents to make sure that their children don't see or do anything they aren't supposed to do. And if that includes not playing "Kingdom Hearts" then that's what they have to do.

That's my two cents for the moment. Please don't flame me.:)

Don't worry, no flaming here, because that was actually intelligent what you just wrote.

True, they censored it here in America and not in Japan, but think about it. America has some of the most unruly and unrespectful (no offence) children and more cursing and violence is not going to help that. Seriously, at least people in other countries pretty much got their children under control, and I've seen this before, while children here just run away like crazy... I blame parents who never truly discipline their children, or just do a bad job at it... (Time out, wtf? Lol...)

I agree with you completely. In fact that just made a ton of sense. And thinks for not getting angry and flaming me. The violence in this country is astounding. And if you can see the way the children both my age and younger behave in school it's ridiculous. It sad that because of the way the children in this country act, and the way that the parents discipline here that we have to censor a kids game. I know tons of people who are adults (my godmother one of them:toungesmile:) and they love the game, so me calling it a 'kids' game when I know it's not is an understatement. But children are going to want to play because there is Disney in it. My brothers are an example of that. Maybe this issue of censorship is actually bigger than we think and maybe there is more to it than just "Kingdom Hearts". But if video games that are pretty much innocent have to be censored what else is being kept from us? Why isn't this being discussed by people who can change it? Why aren't we saying anything about it?

im pretty sure nothing in KH2 was cencored for european release, except for xigbar's sniper and the port royal crossbow, but thats probably just because the european guys just wanted to release it quckly.i can clearly remember laughing at the sight of Jack with a sword in him and the Hydra having green blood,i think i can remember Will with the gun.

and as far as pirates setting on fire i cant remember. but sora does say rats in CoM that much i know

Yuuuuk........ rats is far worse........... they are disease ridden vermin that pee every few steps they take and leave poo like currents everywhere and have very nasty bites on them! Where as sh*t is a natural body function. Stupid censor:angry:hip

Besides typical English translation and localization, the English version of Kingdom Hearts II differs from the original Japanese version in the content of gameplay and several scenes. The Hydra boss in Olympus Coliseum had its green blood from the original Japanese version (which was taken from the film) changed into black and purple smoke in the English version. An earlier cut scene retains the green blood.

Xigbar's telescopic sight was changed from view with a crosshair and black shading around the sides to three glowing circles. An attack animation was also altered; in the Japanese version, Xigbar combined his two hand-held guns to create a sniper rifle, which was used to shoot the player's party during the telescoping sight sequence. In the English version, Xigbar does not combine his guns, but twirls them around and shoots at Sora with a single gun. The death of Organization XIII member Axel was slightly edited; in the original, he caught on fire during his suicide attack.

Port Royal contains the most content edits. Cut scenes were edited to remove some of the violence, such as William Turner threatening to commit suicide while aiming a gun at his head. Unlike the Japanese version, Undead Pirates do not catch fire when affected by Fire magic and their muskets were modified to resemble crossbows, though they still fire with an audible shooting sound effect.

Straight out from Wiki itself. If only people would do a little snooping around... (And before anyone goes all, 'Wiki is all LIES!!!', you need a citation for anything you alter or else they'll restore it to its original state before it was edited.)

Thanks for posting that, you know in COM Axel said "Hell", shouldnt that have been censored?

Umm, in CoM if I am not wrong, they changed Lexaeus death. After Riku defeats Lexaeus, with his last bits of strength, Lexaeus releases all of the darkness within him in hopes of overwhelming and consuming Riku. However, King Mickey protects Riku from the part of Xehanort's Heartless in his heart. But in the English version, they alters Lexaeus's death; Xehanort's Heartless possesses Riku's body and kills Lexaeus.

EDIT:Woah, rank up... Organization Member now.

Yeah, in the Advanced version of CoM Axel still says "hell of a show!" I just played it a few weeks ago and I wanted to compare it to the manga. Not a whole lot of a bad thing, but I guess editing the whole game would be for the children's sake *sarcasm* They have no idea what type of curse words they're going to hear later in life, believe me!
